Excellent food and service. Walked right in and got seated. Quickly filled up. Portions were big and prices reasonable. Authentic and rich in flavor. Great for casual lunch or celebratory group dinner. Loved it! Will be back. read more

I noticed this new place when I'm in the area and their promotion banners in front of the restaurant is very interesting. Who doesn't love free stuff right? Lol!! So the have promotion going on until the end of the month for the first 50 customers everyday will get one portion of XLB for free. So I gave it a try and got free XLB. The food is good and the price is reasonable. There is a lot of juice inside of the XLB but the skin is a bit thick compared to DTF. The dine-in place is spacious and clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly. So give it a try when you're in the area. read more

Fairly new dumpling spot in walnut. It's a big restaurant with lots of tables. I went at lunch on a Friday and it was pretty empty. We got the pork soup dumplings, spicy wantons and a noodle dish. They give complimentary roasted peanuts as a starter. I would recommend coming for the soup dumplings. They make them fresh in house. You can also ask for shredded ginger to eat with vinegar and the dumplings. read more

This is one of the restaurants we go to over and over again. The pork XLB, assorted fried rice and green onion pancakes are our favorite items. They have buy 1, get 1 free deal on XLB. We usually bring family to this place and they've all liked the food so far. read more

The food was delicious, had a great experience. Strongly recommend this restaurant! Will be going back soon.

Went with my family for dinner and we all went home big backed. - Pork XLB: tender and JUICY. The broth inside was incredibly rich and flavorful. 5/5 - Pan Fried Shrimp & Pork dumplings: Big hit with the fam. Very tender, juicy and flavorful. 5/5 - Cucumber with garlic: light and refreshing. 5/5 - Seaweed salad: A bit more vinegary than we liked. 3/5 - Spicy Pig Ear: Very savory. A big hit with my dad. 4/5 - Stir Fried Cabbage: Hints of soy sauce, black vinegar and garlic. Also a little bit more vinegary than we liked. We prefer a garlic stir fry. 3/5 - Beef Stew Noodle Soup: I want to like it, but the broth was really bland. Noodles were thick and chewy though. 2/5 read more

Enjoyed a quick lunch here and the food was really good. XLB was bogo free which was a great deal. Aside from the dumplings, string beans and scallion pancakes were also our fav dishes. All said, I really enjoyed their dumplings a lot! They also sell their dumplings frozen to take home, so I'll definitely be getting my dumplings from them in the future. Their service was also really great- Holt was so kind and attentive! The establishment is clean and it's a gem in Walnut! read more

Amazing dim sum made by Taiwanese grandmas. What else could you want, service is attentive and they serve beer now. 6 stars.

The dumplings were not piping hot how I like them, maybe because they wanted everything to come out at the same time. A bit of a language barrier, but overall delighted with the service (we were the only ones there though) No alcohol on the menu read more

Xiao long bao: 3/5 Friend and I both agreed we would come back solely because of the bogo deal lol. If the deal didn't exist, we would get xlb somewhere else. The skin was a bit different from the usual xlb, slightly more on the chewy side. Filling was standard, the shrimp one was a bit better. Cucumber with garlic: 4/5 Not much to say about this one. Light and refreshing. Service was attentive. The tables in the front were placed really close together though. I could barely scoot the chair back to get in the seat when someone sat behind me. read more

Food was very good. The xlb didn't scald me with how hot the soup was inside because I took a little more time and let them cool by opening the tops for about 10 seconds before eating. The service was great, food came within the expected timelines given by the server. Only unfortunate part is they don't seem very confident in their English and wanted to speak to me in Chinese since I look Chinese, but they ended up being kind and still speaking to me in English since I'm not confident enough in my Mandarin. Has a very chill ambiance with induction stove tables. Not sure if this is for their xlb or if they also serve hot pot here. Definitely enjoyed my food and hope to be able to come back to enjoy it with a few people next time. Surprisingly didn't see too many other customers eat in while I was there, but I guess it's understandable since I went right when they opened. Definitely felt like being in an underrated joint because of that though. Highly suggest giving them a try especially if you can go when they open. Very comfortable feel to the restaurant and very nice decor. read more

Great dumpling place near my house. Soup dumplings were the beat. It was soupy and very flavorful. The staff were very attentive.

We unintentionally found this place but we're so glad we did! This place is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, friendly, and attentive. We ordered four dishes plus 1 free XLB for three people (two adults and one child), and there wasn't a single bite left! Everything we ordered was incredibly flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. The portions were decent--not huge, but just right--and every dish had that signature "wok hei" that made the food even more irresistible. The quality of the food and the service is totally on par with some of the top spots we've been to. We'll definitely be back again--this place is now a regular on our list! read more

The shrimp and pork potstickers are excellent here. They are quite juicy and packed with a generous amount of shrimp in each dumpling. The interior has a clean and inviting atmosphere. read more

Very disappointed in portion sizes and the quality of the fried dumplings. It was soggy and the bottom of the dumplings was not cooked to a crispy consistency at all. Although I had gotten takeout, I opened it in the car to try one so it was not due to the fact that it was in a container. The beef rolls were really disappointing too. The portions were so tiny, it was even smaller than the tiny dumplings they gave me. Bland and disappointing, no sauce or anything in the beef rolls. I would suggest thumbling or mr dragon noodle house for dumplings. read more

Great dumplings. Very tasty very good great taste. Awesome xiao long bao. Both great great dumplings my new favorite. Like Joyce dumplings in San Diego very tasty very good awesome place in walnut. Great great great read more

The food was okay but price is kinda high. Also is credit card only showing the owner doesn't trust it employees. Plus I saw all the employees park right infront. If you want people to come to your business don't park infront. read more

Grabbed food to good and it was very tasty. Order boiled dumplings, pan fried dumplings and green onion pancake. I really liked how they pan fried the dumplings with a very crispy bottom. The green onion pancake was very crispy too and their version is really think almost like a chip. The hostess was very nice and helpful. Would definitely go back read more

I was actually craving sushi today , and when i got to the restaurant it was closed , feeling disappointed i looks to my right, and see a Grand opening sign Sunny Dumplings House , i actually was wanting to try this restaurant , me and my friend was not especially hungry but man did we order alot of food, and they also gave us free xiao long bao 2 free orders, i think they had a promotion thing going on i read some where it was the first 50 people of the day we were 15 and 16 , so on top of the 2 xlb orders we also had pork/shrimp dumpling in spicy sauce and pork/shrimp dumpling in soup, pork dumplings pan fried , dan dan noodles , and pork / shrimp Shaomai... Were to start off first well i feel like the service was pretty attentive , there was a vinegar bottle mark on the table and they wiped it clean right away , when i got the bill they made sure we had enough to go boxes and when i packed up everything to go they say the plastic bag looks a little flimsy so they gave me another one and helped me pack it very nice of them oh and i forgot they gave me a new pair of chopsticks to put all the dumplings in hahahaha - service was pretty good i will say nice servers too the XLB at first did not look picture perfect , and when i use eat XLB i just eat the whole thing , the XLB was perfect alot of savory juice and when chew the skin was thing and with a little bite which i like and pork was good nicely seasoned - spicy pig ears i love it the texture the marinated i wish i had a cold beer it would of been perfect with it , shaomai to me was probably my least favorite was not expecting marinated rice in it too me it didnt really go with with it but maybe it was fresh it would taste better it seems froze to me - the pork and pork/shrimp dumplings were great savory fillings cant go wrong ordering any type - im not sure if its a Feng shui thing , but they have these red rose drapes around the walls and bathroom kinda of make it looks tacky , well i didnt come here for the ambiance either way , food here is great and i will come again for sure , next time i would like to try there beef noodle soup , well till next time see you guys. read more

Food is delicious! I love all of the food we tried. We ordered the pork/shrimp XLB and had the free sweet pork XLB. Both were juicy and yummy. The beef noodle was tasty and the spicy wontons were delicious! read more

We arrived around 12pm and we're able to be part of the first 50 people. We got a free XLB per person, which would have been nice if the XLB got here earlier. Instead the XLB arrived last and we were full from the other food we ordered. The XLB can't be taken home because it free. Such a waste of food. The restaurant is clean and large. Food was so so. Favorite thing we ordered was the green onion pancake. The stir fried rice cake is gross. Very hard and raw. The XLB is okay. read more

I really enjoy the dumplings here. They're very tasty. The service is friendly. I recommend the pork & shrimp dumplings

Very nice place, clean and spacious. Servers are friendly. Reasonable price selections. Tasty comfort food. Need to check out this place. A first timer reviewer here! I initially had plans to eat at the sushi restaurant next door but once I saw slumping, I immediately parked in front and walked in with excitement because I love dumplings! I got all of my favorites (xiao long nap, shio mai, and spicy pork dumplings) but tbh, they were ok! Yes, they were fresh and hot and tasty but I've had better versions of them at another local dumplings restaurant in the next city over. Another reason for the 3 stars was that they forgot to give me my utensils. They served the peanuts, white rice, and broccoli with no utensils served on the table. I had to ask for them and the wait staff immediately got them and apologized. Prices were average for what I normally get and the decoration inside is clean and nice. Would I come back? No. Would I recommend this restaurant? No. read more

I'm so pissed off. We got to the restaurant at 12:30pm on a Saturday, ordered, then waited for an hour. Nothing. They didn't give us any food at all for an hour even after I asked them for a status. They never stopped to check on us without us trying to flag them down. We left after that. I was too pissed off to stay and figure out why they didn't get our food. I heard good things about the food, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Affordable price, service is ok. Totally under staffed, including kitchen. Dishes are precooked, cold when it was served. Sour and spicy soup was extremely salty, can't even take a sip. Servers are aware of the issues, but did not make attempt to correction. Unacceptable food quality. Will NEVER RETURN. read more

Great food very big restaurant you can come with a big party. The noodles are awesome services is always great.

The service was great! The food was fresh and delicious. We visited the restaurant close to their afternoon break, so there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant. We ordered the pan fried pork dumplings and spicy pork wontons. It was a lot for two, but that's all we ordered. I highly recommend trying this place. We are definitely coming back. On a side note, we had to use Google translate to order. It was a great experience connecting with others from a different culture. It was a 5 star experience overall. read more

New dumpling place in town. Was excited to try. Ordered to-go and it was ready promptly. When I walked in, bright and cheery and staff was very friendly. Ordered the pork soup dumplings and they were the highlight! The shrimp and pork dumplings were a little doughy, might get them pan-fried next time. The spicy pork and shrimp wontons could have been more spicy as well. But the quality was great and the taste was great. We will be back. read more
