They still have the BOGO Pork Xiao Long Bao promotion as of March 2026. We had visitors over, and they also liked to try Xiao Long Bao, so we took them to our neighborhood XLB place. We ordered the following items: - Cucumber with Garlic as an appetizer -2 orders Pork Xiao Long Bao (9 pcs) BOGO (total 4 orders because 2 orders were free) - Chinese Braised Pork Belly -Pan Fried Chive & Pork Dumplings -Pan Fried Shrimp & Pork Dumplings (12 pcs) -Beef Roll Pancake -Beef Stew Noodle Soup -Chocolate Lava XLB Our party had 8 people. The servers were friendly, and the service was attentive. We were served the complimentary peanuts when we were seated, and then the orders came out quickly. Each order of Pork Xiao Long Bao had 9 pieces, so we had a total of 36 pieces. They were juicy and flavorful, but the skin was a bit thicker this time. Then we had the pan-fried chive & pork dumplings and shrimp & pork dumplings. We liked the chive & pork ones more than the shrimp & pork because they were more flavorful. The beef Roll pancakes were yummy, but I did not like cilantro. Beef Stew noodle soup was decent, but the beef could be thicker, though. The Chinese Braised Pork Belly was worth the wait; the flavor was on point. Lastly, we were satisfied with the interesting chocolate Lava XLB; it was not my favorite because I prefer savory XLB, but it was fun to try, and my daughters liked it. They automatically added a 18% service charge for parties of 6 or more, which is fair.

Pork xiao long bao

We dined in for lunch as they have an enticing buy-one-get-one free deal for xiao long bao per table. We ordered pork xiao long bao ($12.99 for nine pieces), dan dan noodles ($10.99), beef stew noodle soup ($12.99), and chicken fried rice ($12.99). Portions here are filling, and our server asked if we wanted extra bowls to share our soup and noodle dishes. Out of all our dishes, I enjoyed the soup dumplings and fried rice the most. The dumplings were in stacked steamers and nicely hot at first. They do cool down once you open the lid. The dumpling wrapping was sturdy, and the soup was deliciously savory. This paired well with the chicken fried rice. It had a nicely firm texture with a good amount of meat. The dan dan noodles had a thick and spicy peanut-based sauce. The beef stew noodle soup was my least favorite dish. It a little salty, and the noodles were too soft for my liking. Although these two dishes were spicy as confirmed by the server, they were just right for me. The restaurant has more options, so I might try something different for next time. Overall, the food was great here, and I'd like to come back if I'm ever craving dumplings. Paying basically $13 for 18 pieces of fresh xiao long bao was a great deal. The ambience is a nice balance between fancy and casual. I enjoyed the ambience as the restaurant was tidy with relaxing music playing in the background. By the entrance, staff prepared dumplings in an open part of the kitchen. It also looked like the restaurant was once a spot to eat hot pot as there were stovetops and range hoods at each table.

Great atmosphere and very clean. Staff was cheerful and courteous. They were very helpful and friendly. We ordered the Xiao Ling Bao (soup dumplings). They had a BOGO special if you buy any of the XLB's you get the pork XLB for free ($12.99 value). These were delicious. I also ordered the pork belly with garlic sauce appetizer. I didn't know it was served cold. Also very spicy and pork was dry. I was not impressed with this dish and will not order it in the future. Ordered the Wok fried Sweet & Sour chicken which was delicious and also ordered regular shrimp and pork dumplings. I think I would stick with the XLB choices. My nephew ordered some beef noodle soup and gave me a taste. Yeah, no, as in no flavor. Pass on the noodle soup for me. For dessert the cornbread bao was not sugary sweet but nice. I don't think it is much of a dessert though. Overall I had a good experience but not sure if I would go here again since it is out of my way. Lots of parking.

Sunny Dumpling House is a new restaurant located in Walnut and specializes as the name says dumplings. You can see the staff members making fresh dumplings on the left side and in the frozen freezers of the right you can actually buy them for take-out. Sadly though every dumpling was with pork and the vegetarian that I had tried was just filled with rice. Wish it were with some type of vegetables instead of rice for a shu mai or dumpling style. Many other places have options where they just do fish dumplings without pork or vegetarian dumplings that are filled with mushrooms and random vegetables. The scallion pancake though was pretty good and also the beef roll, but it was slightly smaller in size.

Chow mein with beef
Cecilia C.

Came here for a Sunday lunch. The place was pretty busy but we got seated right away, which was nice. We ordered the chow mein with beef, the beef rolls, and their juicy pork xiao long bao. The chow mein was alright, pretty standard, a little too salty for me. My kid wasn't complaining though, he polished off a big plate. I will say the portion felt a bit small for what it cost; only a few pieces of beef in there. The beef roll was much better. The sauce was slightly sweet and made the whole dish really flavorful and balanced. The xiao long bao were on a buy-one-get-one deal, which was awesome value. They took a bit to come out, but when they did, they were piping hot and tasted really fresh. They also brought out some complimentary cold dishes while we waited, which was a nice touch. Service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush so it was okay. Now, I have to mention an incident that happened. Right after we sat down, the waitress was very nice and brought a kids plate and utensil for our 3-year-old son. We thought that was great, until we realized the fork was way too sharp. Our son was just messing with it and before we knew it, he'd nicked himself and his chin and hands were bloody. It was a real shock how fast it happened. We let the waitress know and she was apologetic and took the fork and plate right away. Later, she brought us two steamed buns as an apology, which we appreciated. But honestly, that's the kind of accident that just shouldn't happen with kid-friendly utensils. Just a heads-up for other parents, maybe bring your own or check the fork first.

I absolutely loved this dumpling house compared to others I have tried in the area! Walking in you are greeted at the booth and walked to your table. They have an assortment of teas or sodas for drinks & the menu has many options for different types of tastes. They even had large fridges near the front with bags of pre-made dumplings in bulk for sale to make at home! With their current Xiao Long Bao sale going on, you order one and get the other order free; no indication on when that sale would be over. My mom and I were absolutely stuffed and very satisfied with our food and ate the leftovers the next day!

This is located in a large place off of Lemon Ave and there are a lot of parking spaces nearby. We were greeted by staff almost immediately upon entering and was guided to a table. You can see the workers making dumplings in the front and they have some fridge and freezers in the main room containing frozen dumplings for sale. The ambiance is casual and we've been here when it just opened so not very many people. The staff was very polite and kept refilling our water jug. The food comes out super hot and at this moment, they have an offer for one free XLB per table after ordering any other kind of XLB and its for dine in only. Their restroom was very clean and has two stalls. If i am in the area, I will come back!

Pork xiao long bao, buy one get one free

Authentic and delicious food! Tried the beef noodle soup and pork xiao long bao. The xiao long baos are packed with pork and juicy. They're also buy one, get one free when you dine in! Super good deal, overall majority of the food here is well priced for the area. Service is very attentive and the restaurant is clean & spacious. Lots of parking outside too. Lots of food we still want to try, will definitely be back!

Stopped by on Sunday, 09/14/25 for the first time with my parents during lunch time! Ordered the following: - 1 beef stew noodle soup = $12.99 - 1 vegetarian dan dan noodle = $9.99 - 2 pork xiao long bao (9 pieces) = 12.99 for 1 set (BOGO offer) - 1 assorted fried rice = $13.99 SUBTOTAL = $49.96 TAX = $4.72 TOTAL = $54.68 We waited for about 2 minutes as staff were cleaning up the tables before we were seated. Additionally, this place was quite noisy (very busy). We really enjoyed the BOGO offer for the xiao long bao, I highly recommend this - they also ask if you would like some ginger for the xiao long bao (say yes!). We also got some complimentary appetizers (3 total). PSA: If you have a nut allergy, then please do not get the vegetarian dan dan noodle as it contains peanuts. Also, 1/3 appetizers were peanuts. It took a while for the xiao long bao to arrive. Overall 4/5. Affordable Chinese restaurant with a strong authentic taste!

BOGO free xiao long bao is more than enough reason to come! It was pretty good and in this economy, it's suuuuuper convenient! I thought service was gonna be your typical Asian restaurant, but EVERYONE was so nice and friendly! It did take awhile for the food to come out, but they apologized saying they were backed up on orders and there seemed to be a family event or something, so the service was very hospitable! Will love to come back and hope this places stays!

XLB
Arnold T.

If you're local to east SGV (Walnut, Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights), this is a place to go. Currently, there is a BOGO XLB, so you're saving $$$ off the bat. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, shrimp fried rice, egg with tomato, beef with onion, wood ear, and of course the BOGO XLB. Price is on the affordable side and the interior is clean. Service is quick and when you buy an entree a la carte, you get a beer or lemon tea (we opted for the lemon tea x 2). The Dan Dan noodles and fried rice were comforting and deliciously filling. This restaurant has hot pot - hot plates on the table since it took over the the space of a hot pot restaurant that was here before. Interior is clean and staff is attentive. Hoping this restaurant is here to stay!

We were placed in the back room, which felt a little more calm compared to the main dining area. Service was good. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and really on top of things, which made a big difference since it was packed. Ordering is simple, they give you a paper menu where you mark what you want and hand it back. We ordered tea for two and picked a bunch of dim sum: jumbo shrimp har gow, shrimp fried wontons, steamed rice noodle roll with shrimp, baked abalone sauce BBQ pork bun, poached Chinese broccoli, and custard egg tarts. Everything came out fresh and hit the spot. The har gow were plump and juicy, the rice noodle rolls were soft and silky, and the BBQ pork buns had that perfect slightly sweet, fluffy texture. The egg tarts were a great finish--warm and flaky. We did end up only getting 5 out of the 6 items we ordered, but honestly we were already pretty full at that point so I didn't feel like making it a big deal. Also... we were so hungry we totally forgot to take pictures of the rest of the food Overall, a good dim sum spot, however I felt like the prices were a bit higher than the other dim some places I usually go to. During the wedding dinner, I was the only one out of about 60 people who was carded before getting alcohol poured out for me, and this was in front of everyone. It's not a big deal but it did feel a bit like discrimination for whatever unknown reason, because I was definitely not the youngest looking one by far. When we complained about this, the server stopped but never apologized to me. Not all servers have these kinds of issues, but just a heads up that these things can happen.

The food here is mediocre at best and the service is just awful. They make you feel like a burden and inconvenience right from the bat and refuse to acknowledge you. We were ordering with a waitress then she suddenly got frustrated when we tried to order the honey walnut shrimp and threw her hands in the air and called someone else over. The tall Asian guy who took our orders also made us seem like an inconvenience and even walked away in the middle of us ordering. He kept this same attitude throughout the whole time. My parents were excited for the 99 cent chicken deal they had and wanted to order more and the same guy refused to acknowledge their questions and ultimately told us it was 1 order per table. This is fine if that's their policy, but it was the way he was acting. He made us feel that we were cheap and stingy wanting to take advantage or get cheap eats. If you don't want people to order this cheap dish, don't have it on your menu or advertise it! Also, we ordered plenty of other foods. Beware because this place seems like they're scammy. I ordered a pot of rice and apparently they charge rice per person so regardless of how many people you have, you still get the same pot of rice but more expensive. This makes no sense even when I questioned them about it. When we tried to ask one of the cart ladies about ordering a football from the fried section, she gave us another item instead and when we opened it up, it wasn't what we wanted. They kept trying to push more items on our table to get our money even though we repeatedly said no. They also charge for sauce and didn't tell us. Another waitress (who we didn't even interact with throughout our time) chased me down trying to pressure me to tip more. I have no problem tipping, but when the service is like this, I am not going to leave a 20% tip like usual. I will say the kind busser here was exceptional and although he didnt speak English, he was so kind and honestly made my day. Everyone else here was rude and unwelcoming. The mediocre food here is not worth the outright disrespectful and terrible service.

Food is stellar and of value (6 XLB for $8!), portion sizes are good, and everything is piping hot! The soup dumplings have soo much soup IMO beating out Mama Lu's which is what I would consider to be their nearest competitor. The spicy shrimp wontons are also good, but I think the flavors don't quite hit as well - big pieces of shrimp are enclosed though! The Peppered Beef Udon was great the beef pieces were tender and juicy and great textured noodles.
