Since the purchase, we have replaced the battery 4 times. Every other month the battery dies. In May 2024, the one year warranty expired and they sold him the same battery. The battery lasted less than 1 month and it died once again. My son is now in college and needs a car since he is living off campus. I went in to exchange the battery for a better once since I cannot be there to help him if the battery dies. As a side note, I had the car towed to my mechanic and he showed me it was a bad battery. Upon showing that to the staff at AAP, they proceeded to tell me it was my fault for buying a cheap battery. My response was that my son would not have bought a battery they didn't recommend that particular battery. No accountability from the manager and it was by far one of my worst experiences as a customer. I had the truck towed in to my mechanic to confirm it was the battery and NOT my alternator. Update: I called the corporate office and the customer service agent mentioned someone would reach out to me in 24 hours. I received a call the following day from the store manager and he resolved the issue by giving me credit towards the new battery. Well done!

The problem was diagnosed, a part was ordered, and I popped by again when I was back in town to get the service done. It turned out the code the reader gave them was not the right one, and despite the fact that the new part had already been installed, Mike and his team did more diagnostics, ran tests on the old part, reinstalled it, and didn't charge me a cent for the service. I expected to at least pay for the 6-8 hours of labor the mechanics did in trying to figure out what was going on, but Mike wouldn't let me pay or even let me tip! His reasoning? "You're paying me to fix your car, and we didn't fix your car." If you're looking for a reliable mechanic who will charge fair prices, get work done in a reasonable amount of time, won't try to upsell you on parts and services you don't need, and will be honest when he doesn't think he can help you, come to Pinecrest Automotive Center! I will certainly be back.

I was helped by a very nice young man named Matias Zambrano. I explained to him that I had gone to the store on old Cutler, where an intellectually challenged young man told me that my battery was fine. Matias checked the battery. Confirm the battery was for all intents and purposes no good. He then honored my warranty. I had three months left on this battery and very quickly installed the new battery. He went above and beyond by suggesting that I buy covers for the terminals to protect against the heat and the corrosion that we all see I was so impressed by him I complimented him to his manager. This is store number 9940. I will return especially if this wonderful young man there.
