I'm now looking at having to buy a new car due to the damage done to mine, as the whole electrical system is failing. To add insult to injury, they just charged me $800 a couple of months ago after quoting me $400 and change to supposedly fix the issues with my car by replacing an alternator that didn't need replacing. Since the purchase, we have replaced the battery 4 times. Every other month the battery dies. In May 2024, the one year warranty expired and they sold him the same battery. The battery lasted less than 1 month and it died once again. My son is now in college and needs a car since he is living off campus. I went in to exchange the battery for a better once since I cannot be there to help him if the battery dies. As a side note, I had the car towed to my mechanic and he showed me it was a bad battery. Upon showing that to the staff at AAP, they proceeded to tell me it was my fault for buying a cheap battery. My response was that my son would not have bought a battery they didn't recommend that particular battery. No accountability from the manager and it was by far one of my worst experiences as a customer. I had the truck towed in to my mechanic to confirm it was the battery and NOT my alternator. Update: I called the corporate office and the customer service agent mentioned someone would reach out to me in 24 hours. I received a call the following day from the store manager and he resolved the issue by giving me credit towards the new battery. Well done!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I mean, I love the proximity to my house, the cheap prices,…read morethe good variety of products, but they have a mess outside that just turns the whole area into a dump. Without a doubt, this place competes when it comes to prices. I have been to other auto part shops, and for sure, AAP is bottom dollar. If you have ever shopped in the automotive aisles of Walmart or Target or any other discounted retailer, you will see that the prices here match those of the cheap retailers. Not only that, there is a good variety of products. Air filters, light bulbs, fluids, wax, washing liquids, stuff for your car that you probably don't need, but with the disposable income, why not spend it to improve your car (something that won't happen, by the way). But it is very upsetting to come here and to find rubbish all over the place. Empty bottles of oil, some car parts, oil spilled all over, it's so annoying and turns this otherwise nice shopping strip into a hellish junk yard. I know they have taken measures to somewhat control the issue by putting signs, and it has helped, but the place is still worse than a pig sty. They need to do a better job at improving the surrounding area. Other than that, this place is great. It is so easy to replace an air filter, for instance. AAP has a lot of them, even some performance ones. And by doing it yourself, you basically cut your cost by half. True and tried myself. I'm not joking. Same for light bulbs, windshield wipers, extra fluid, I don't know, I like to give my car maintenance because I hate getting stranded and being at the mercy of a car mechanic. So, next time your car doesn't start, take out the battery and bring it here, or to a location closest to you. At this particular shop, the staff is very helpful, they will check the life of your car battery and sell you a replacement if needed. Lastly, if you don't find something at the store, ask one of the employees. Lots of items are kept behind the counter, under Federal Law. Apparently, some people like to smoke car fluid. Enjoy.

When they opened I was told they could not test the battery because the testing machine was broken and one they had ordered had not arrived. I then asked the gentleman if I could buy a new battery and have it installed. He told me that I would need to wait until later cause there was nobody there that could do that. This is ridiculous. If you are open you should have all services available for the clients, no matter the time. I am of course taking my business elsewhere.
