My car needed a few parts replaced and a friend recommended I go check this place out. I was hesitant due to a negative review I read but still went to see them to shop around. Not only were they very friendly and knowledgeable on all aspects of their business, but their prices were also very competitive. WARNING BEWARE!! (AS IS = SCREW U) Before going into this establishment I was pretty certain I made the right decision per talking to someone on the phone. But needless to say that was not the case. June 26, 2017 i should of went with my gut when I got there and witness a customer being treated poorly and with no regard for customer service even right in front of the so called "management" But I like to give the benefit of the doubt. Every situation is different I came there knowing what I wanted And ended up buying a rear right door, a rocker mounding and a quarter panel. Everything totaling upwards of a thousand dollars. I literally took 30 mins asking question and getting advise from a staff member even showing pictures of my damaged vehicle, Attempting some sort of due diligence before purchasing the "quarter panel. WARNING do not ask question for they are not mechanics. And if they were I wouldn't trust them. Very apprehensive in purchasing the quarter panael "AS IS" with C-pillar included . Per the advise of a Minton staff member (Henry as written on my receipt). Outside of there "no refund" policy clearly not stated on my invoice for that specific part, it only states AS IS nothing printed specifically stating No refund. Smfh i was told it was new and undamaged which it was not. I trusted Henry the front desk clerk and payed him in full for a part sight unseen. I would not of been able to inspect, double check and triple check a part that u did not have the vehicle in your possession to cut from told to me by your staff member. Unless It was paid for in full I couldn't see it to make a determination. Your staff member could of simply just gave me the directions on where that part was located but no you wanted to make the money. (SHADY) AS IS means in the condition it presently exist in or found upon inspection immediately PRIOR to purchase and not there after" But I was made to pay in full prior to knowing it's condition or inspection because they did not have the part or vehicle there for me to inspect upon my purchase. AS IS is a term Minton parts uses to uphold there criminality. And they proudly do there business this way. To the point another customer expressed there feelings and disgust with the whole staff upon the witnessing of my poor treatment as a paying customer by the "manager" Mr Daniel Landman. now I am out of pocket $525 dollars for a part that is still in there possession damaged. And I was willing to walk away knowing I was out of 525 dollars. Because I was told By the son of the owner DANIEL LANDMAN that I could probably post it on offerup (an APP) or craigslist to recoup some money. And only then after him being so "kind" enough to give me that bit of advice after not caring to assist me in any other way. I than decided to at least inspect and take pictures of the part I've never seen prior to paying in full and only then is when I witnessed the damage to the quarter panel/ c- pillar that came attached to the quarter panel which I made sure of upon purchasing the quarter panel. It's not about the money it's the total lack of regard, disrespect, inconsideration and lack of professionalism from not just management but from the whole front staff. After giving u a receipt they can care less. There quick to take your money but don't you dare try to ask for it back. Based on the huge flags prominently and proudly displayed in Minton parts establishment I expected so much more but than again the majority of ppl I spoke to after the incident were not at all surprised of the way Minton Parts business is misconducted, poor reputation and lack of proper ethics. ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE EVER DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I spoke to their sales rep regarding a part that was posted online for $50 he confirmed the part was valued at $50 i asked if he could verify that the part was functional and when he contacted me back he wanted to charge me $250 plus i had to arrange shipping. Beware, yet the story ends well. Bear with me, you (and they) can learn from me. I ordered a driver's seat and module in a specific color, paid by credit card with the form they sent. I was more worried about it being excessively worn or torn or not working (electro-mechanically) than anything else. What I got was a passenger's seat in the wrong color, yet it was indeed in good condition. I'd been back and forth during ordering with Javier on the phone, who seemed earnest and was courteous and respectful, but got it wrong in the end. Then when I called to report the issue, I knew that since this seat was the wrong color, the scrap car he had would't have the right color driver's seat in it and, therefore he would't be able to make it right by sending me the driver's seat from the same car. So I needed my money back, despite their threatening sounding "no returns" policy. Well, we went back and forth by phone on that end of the transaction, and Javier was less earnest and less eager to answer my calls, and more eager to get his seat back from me than to refund my money. Finally, I called my bank and put in a claim on the credit card transaction, not for fraud, yet for my money back, and was able to do so, yet I haven't heard the results of the claim. Given I basically got ripped off, you'd think I'd rate them worse, yet in the end I think it was an honest mistake and it was probably more cost-effective - for them - for me to just go through my bank to get the money back. Poor customer service, and Javier didn't follow my instructions for checking the trim code to verify the color. Yet for a salvage yard, my expectations are set pretty low and the story ended well, so they get a 2...if they'd have got me the right part they'd have gotten a 4 or 5 from me, and at least I had an out.
