    Where do I even begin…read more I'm not someone who typically writes reviews, but my recent experience absolutely warrants one due to the unethical and deceptive practices surrounding my purchase of a 2023 Chevrolet pickup truck. In December 2025, I was searching for a very specific vehicle. This dealership had exactly what I was looking for -- a truck that was reasonably priced, essentially brand new, with extremely low mileage (around 100 miles). I was told the vehicle had never been sold and had been sitting on the lot. The truck itself was in excellent condition. The only issue was that it was missing two basic items: an interior plastic dashboard side panel and floor mats. Our salesperson, Francisco, explicitly assured us that both items would be ordered and provided after the purchase. Based on that assurance, I moved forward with the transaction. I completed all paperwork, signed all documents, and before leaving the dealership, Francisco again reassured me that the missing parts would be ordered for pickup. Fast forward three weeks -- I receive a call from Francisco stating that because I did not use their in-house financing and instead used a pre-approved Bank of America loan (which is how I purchase my commercial vehicles), the dealership would no longer honor providing the missing parts. His justification was that the vehicle was already "discounted." Let that sink in. After directly asking if this was truly their final position -- refusing to honor a promise over parts worth no more than $150 -- the answer was yes. This is a textbook example of unfair and unethical business practices. Promises were made to close a deal, then conveniently walked back once the transaction was complete. That behavior speaks volumes about how this dealership operates and how little they value integrity or customer trust. As a result, this matter will be escalated and addressed formally. What could have been resolved easily is now something that will cost them far more due to their own actions. Buyers beware. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this dealership.

I visited CarMax probably at least 10 times to test drive cars, transferred cars in from other locations, etc. and Carl helped me through the whole process and ultimately helped me find my absolute perfect car. The "customer first" image is pushed hard, but as an employee, it often felt like numbers and quotas came first--by a mile. Cars were rushed through inspections to meet deadlines, and there was always pressure to move inventory, even when it clearly needed more attention. That famous "125-point inspection"? Let's just say it's more about checking boxes than actually checking the car. Management varied wildly--some tried their best, others were more interested in micromanaging or playing favorites. Advancement felt more political than performance-based, and good employees were often overlooked while others coasted by doing the bare minimum. If you're thinking of buying a car here, double-check everything and don't rely too heavily on the CarMax "stamp of approval." If you're considering working here, just know that the culture isn't nearly as polished as the commercials make it seem. Disappointed to leave with such a bitter taste, but I can't say I'm surprised. May god look over this company and renew its workforce and maybe they can stay true to there words .

So I was just shopping around, checking, looking and all of the sudden, I open my email and literally 8 emails one after the other one. Not 5 minutes later I got a call from some lady, I explained to her that I was just looking and was checking the rates and I'll be checking periodically to see if anything pop ups. In the next 24 hours I received almost 15 calls. Brother.... 15 calls of people that looked DESPERATE to just make me swallow anything that they had. I was actually concerned about those people like, they were DESPERATE to sell not in a healthy way. 2nd and 3rd call I was educated and told them the same thing that I told to the first lady and asked politely to stop calling. The effect of asking to stop calling was like I told them to call me every 5 minutes. I got so overflooded that I had to literally turn my phone off while I was on meetings. I don't appreciate that "pressure", buying a car is something that takes time, comparing, searching to get the best deal for you! Don't try to make me swallow any overpriced car that give you more commission, this is not appreciated. This review comes from a dealership worker, mechanic and race driver. I understand the business, I never saw people so desperate. Be safe out there guys.
