Within four days and 250 miles the brakes were violently shaking and the AC was failing. Two independent certified mechanics and Carvana's own warranty provider Silver Rock confirmed all four brake rotors were warped and dangerous and the AC system had an active refrigerant leak. Here is what makes this worse -- Carvana's own 150-point inspection conducted just 15 days before the sale certified eight safety-critical items as passing. Every single one was confirmed defective. Beware. My experience this year was disappointing. After Carvana canceled my first order, I was told I'd receive a $250 credit for the inconvenience. Weeks later--still nothing. I've messaged them through their chat and sent multiple emails. All I get are vague responses or complete silence. No follow-through. No resolution. Then the car I did end up with needed an oil change almost immediately, something they should've caught in the inspection. The tires were dangerously overinflated too. Just careless. My truck was not delivered on the day it was originally scheduled to. It also showed filthy with food in sludge in cup holders and trash in the back seat. Order my 1st new used truck - listing said it had been in a moderate damage accident; after arrival & driving 1 time it made a lot of metallic noises when opening & closing doors, upon further investigation underneath the vehicle had bent up scratch plates in front & rear, doors, did not line up with body, could see where the front tires had been jammed up against the wheel wells , the rear tailgate did not have sprayed liner on like the rest of the bed - traced that accident back across the country & was in a 4 vehicle crash hit on all sides and was totaled by insurance company and sold at auction, Carvana 150 pt inspection was worthless - Sent back for a 2nd truck no questions asked , 2nd truck arrives mud caked on engine , on front wheel wells , behind wheel wells , front control arms, scratched and rusted , chip in windshield , front bumper out of line with body panels , never mind both vehicles had less than 20,000 miles on them , never mind they jacked my interest rate when switching vehicle's without saying anything -Never mind their internal finance company cannot provide online statements , or accept additional principle payments without a monthly phone call ahead of time ( worthless) - never mind they refused to take care of the window chip or cleaning , Once again that 150 +- pt inspection is totally worthless along with Carvana --- Never Again -- Beware !!!!! read more

I wanted to give Carvana a shot to buy a car. Selling them a car was really easy and I had done that before. Buying the car was also easy. Unfortunately, seven days later the check engine light turned on for my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe which is absolutely unacceptable. It's very clear that they are completely lying about doing a 150 point inspection on a car. I told them my check engine light turned on, they told me to go through their SilverGate agent, but all repairs would require approval. Being that I don't have time for this nonsense, I took it to my trusted dealer of choice and they fixed everything. I spent $1,200 and got very lucky that two of the major items that were very obviously a problem were covered under warranty. The thermostat was bad, so the dealership couldn't allow me to drive the car away so I took a loaner for three days. The other problem is that the car was kicking like a mule whenever auto-off was enabled. Lastly (picture included) the A/C air cabin filter was completely clogged with garbage and made the car smell bad. I knew I wouldn't be reimbursed for any of this because I didn't "ask for permission", but that's not the point. They sold me the car in this condition which means this is fraud. My next favorite thing is that the driver's side door has a different VIN from the rest of the vehicle. I am not sure how they are allowed to get away with this, but I am going to hold their feet to the fire on this one. This needs to be rectified and they are going to pay for it. Again, what part of the 150 point inspection did they do? Seems like absolutely none of it. Lastly, car only came with one fob. Like yeah... you find that out up front, but realistically all cars should come with two. This is nonsense. I had to purchase a second one and they are very expensive. I have tried living with just one before and when you share a car with someone, this becomes a real pain in the behind. I specifically asked them to transfer my plate/registration to this car, they said they would. I then get a NEW plate in the mail... Thanks guys. Now I have to go to the DMV to surrender my old plate and I have to update everything to have the new plate. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I HATE IT when people MAKE work for me. This whole experience started off great, but it is turning into a steaming pile and I am pretty upset. I cannot get anyone on a phone either which is very irritating. If you choose the financing option, even if you have a 800+ credit score, you are looking at a 14% interest rate which is psychotically high. I have zero intentions of keeping the loan for long, so I don't care, my monthly payment is very low. I am still going through this crap right now, I have only had the car for three weeks and unless they make part of this right, I don't think I am buying from them ever again. read more

Carvana holds itself out to be "a better way to buy a car." This experience is unfortunately unorganized and chaotic. In the past decade alone, I've purchased five cars from major dealers. You know, the dealers where they run back and forth with a piece of paper saying they need to "speak to their boss" or "finance" before being forthcoming with the actual price? The "we waste your time" dealers? Yes, somehow Carvana managed to underperform even those. The online purchase was simple enough- exactly what you'd expect. Afterwards, you're given a checklist and only after all of the items are submitted (and reviewed) are you able to schedule pickup. After submitting all of my items, several of the uploads were incorrect/did not apply to me (a copy of a check from the bank for the amount of the purchase price?). I had to call numerous times to get these corrected. Calls were typical call centers, never less than one hour and transferring every few minutes to someone who had no notes/no idea what you were calling about. AFTER getting that squared away, I received two back-to-back calls from agents that congratulated me on the purchase. Both advised me the pickup process would take 15-30 mins. Having sold cars to Carvana before, I expected the same. On the date of delivery/pickup from the vending machine, what should have taken a max of 30 minutes took 2 hours. The in-person rep had no idea I traded in my vehicle (even though it is in all of the Carvana paperwork that was already executed). She advised she "could not reach a Carvana rep" (aren't you a rep?) and, after an hour of waiting, told me "maybe you can chat with someone online." I contacted support, who advised "wow, that's weird, why don't you show them the purchase order?" which I did several times. The in-person rep kept saying they don't concern themselves with the paperwork (what?) only what the system tells them to do. This was incredibly frustrating and I was given no explanation at all for the incessant confusion. As if subjecting my two children (under 5) and pregnant wife to this wasn't enough, minutes after finally driving away from the vending machine (literally 5 miles later), my rear passenger tire blew out. I had my car towed and the tire examined- the rep from Tire Kingdom told me he'd never seen anything like that. The tire failed from the inside- an interior gash that gave way the entire sidewall. If I could go back in time, I'd gladly go to any of the previous dealers I bought from over Carvana. Yes, they play games. But can you imagine the frustration of being told, for hours on end, "you should contact Carvana, because we can't get a hold of anyone" by someone who works FOR Carvana? read more

When I got home I put all my cars information and they told me how much they will pay for it, I booked the day for them to come and pick it up and after I was approved they confirmed that date. I had an appointment at 1300 for selling my car. I made a mistake when scheduling the appointment. I thought I chose 1000, but it was recorded as 1300. The day of the appointment, I went to the dealership at 0900, to explain and to see if I could be worked in that frame of time. When I arrived, there was a customer being served. At 0920, the customer left and I was told that I had to wait, and that they would not guarantee me that I will be attended. THERE WERE NO APPOINTMENTS AND NO PEOPLE AT THIS TIME. I agreed. This is 0920. The woman tending the desk, went in the back office and I WAITED UNTIL 1030, no customer came for an hour and ten minutes, and they, in the back office, probably thought that this was funny or just plain and simple, a DISRESPECTFUL act towards me. I left. I came back at 1300, and the SAME, disrespectful, customer service challenged, job hating individual, took 15 minutes and we closed the deal. Would I do business with Carvana again? Maybe. Would I want to exchange oxygen in the presence of such disrespectful and toxic individual again? Never again. read more

I'm convinced these local employees must've worked at car dealerships off of 27th Ave and brought their shady-used-car-salesman vibes to this Carvana vending location. Overall the company probably gets 2 stars with a possible extra half a star because the site is laid out well. This location tho gets a half a star if I could give it and thats just cause its close to the expressways and a bus depot (for those of us who have to commute via transit--which is still me cause they refused to vend the car on my scheduled appt.). They are all about the bait and switch!!! You think it's written in stone when they say your car will be ready on a certain date and time. IT'S NOT!! The 150 point inspection is also a JOKE! The car I ordered was loaded onto a transport vehicle--brought to Doral--taken off the transport vehicle and voìla CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!! WHAM!! 2 week estimated delay!! Ready for the TKO punch.....this car with surprise mysterious mechanical concerns was re-listed for sale again...KABOOM: a few hours later!! They lure you in and give you a reason to reject it!!
