Not a good place to go to. I came her to get my brakes bled and brake line replaced. Then they told me I needed all the brake lines replaced. (keep in mind no written quotes, especially of the new total but i did know about this one) Then they replaced my fuel hose.... no call! nothing. I did not consent to this repair and was told i can get refunded and then can put the old one back on. I do not trust this whatsoever. I am extremely unhappy. Oh, and my brakes are spongy, there is definitely still air in the brake lines. The main thing I came to this shop for. Wont be coming back. Edit: when we tried to get our money back, he almost tried to fight my boyfriend and he verbally harassed him as we were leaving his shop in a quiet manner. read more

These guys were incredible to fix a major failure and bad repair of a recent complete front end replacement from a different mechanic of suspension shocks tie rods etc. I felt stranded 2 hours from home. they quickly identified the major problem with the tie rod, received a part in an hour and completed the repair in 2 hours start to finish while waiting for the part. Jamal cannot take honest criticism. His mechanic, Ivan, did a piss poor job installing EGR valve and now they refused acknowledge that. I confronted him days later about this after taking the job to a real professional, a muffler shop, to find out what was going on what is strange and new tapping noise. It was determined that the EGR valve was an improper install that champion had done a few days earlier. Rather than give me my money back Jamal offered to have Ivan do the job over. Why in the world would I have a mechanic that can't do it right the first time have a stab on it a second time? I don't think it's unreasonable for me to ask for my money back and have the jobs done elsewhere Jamal unwilling to refund my cash payment so he gets a one star. I will never ever go there again and if I do someone needs to shoot me. Update April 2020 Jamal sold me an alternator a little over a year ago and already it is not working. I am not going to waste my time going back to his crappy shop with his crappy service and crappy attitude. I don't know how this place is for other auto repairs but do not take you car here for convertible top repairs. They have a very rusty knowledge of tops. I was going to bring my car here to have them take it apart and look at it. They were going to have to take my backseat out inorder to see what was wrong with my convertible top not functioning right. I was told it would take 1/2 a day and labor costs estimated at $250. Fast forward a day. I took my car to the convertible expert. I have panels that pop and off without needing to take the backseat out. The expert was able to tell me within 5 minutes what was going on. My car was fixed in 15 minutes and he didn't charge me a thing. My top is working perfectly now. Now that's the difference between someone who knows their convertibles vs someone who does. Are you going to pay someone who knows what exactly is wrong or pay someone for their time to explore to figure out what is wrong? read more

Price was the best compared to 6 other shops, unbelievable. The area is very cool, artsy and welcoming. When I called the owner, he told me about the area and that was a great find. Gamal was very patient when I had questions. He explained things clearly for me to understand. He didn't speak mechanic jargon, he made sure I understood. Now, I have the bigger picture of my car's health and worth. Gamal told me what was more important to address and why they were more important than others. Money wasn't his sole motive. He told me a time and my car was ready a bit early. He cared about his words. After shopping around, I was very happy with my decision. It was the best price I got and the shop is located in a very artsy area. The inside of the shop is small, but there's a fair size bench inside to seat and wait. The area is very cool, I'd recommend to go walk around. If you are not familiar with the area, you should definitely explore it. You can bring your tablet/PC/book to enjoy one of the quaint and eccentric coffeeshops. You can just eat or walk around to explore if that's what your prefer. I would have never known about this area if I didn't go to the shop. I'm happy to have found it. I'm all about customer service. There, I received great customer service, fast and reliable service. This business is conveniently located in the little Havana area of Miami-Dade county. They specialize in auto mechanics. My mother took in my car today because it had a flat tire. They did not do a great job providing a patch for my flat.They recommended a new tire because apparently the tire was unrepairable, This is fine, I suppose a new one is the best alternative, I won't judge them for that. The service time was acceptable. However, when they were done they gave my mom an invoice for $20.00 to repair a flat tire with a patch and it was done poorly. Most shops charge $5-$10 in the area for a plug. After I posted the review, the business called me to explain they do not specialize in plugs/ patches, the tire was unrepairable and they only did the best they were able to do. They offered to return my money if I was not happy and explained the situation of the tire to me. I really appreciate the outcome of the situation and would recommend the shop. read more

New to the area with no time to spare, our son's car broke down. We stepped in from miles away to help him. We relied on Yelp to find a repair facility. After doing our research, we chose Champion. Without stepping foot into their facility, I know, very risky, we communicated with Jamal, he was very professional and communicated with us through the entire process. The price of the repair was fair and reasonable. The car was towed to the shop and the repair was completed within a couple of days. The car was picked up and is running good. But then I called these guys and after asking several questions they determined that nothing that drastic was necessary. Instead flushed the fluid and some other minor fixes and it's good as new. Garbage. If you're looking to get swindled, by all means come to this shop. Had hub bolt not properly tightened and fell off while driving damaging brake disc and hub assembly. Disc had to be repaired and hub assembly replaced. BUT of course , my ball joint was still not tightened properly but I had corrected by an actual reputable shop instead of this godforsaken hell hole. If you like getting shafted, this is the place! And it seems as though the owner has responded to my review, and quite eloquently if I may say so. And yea, they left the "CV Shaft Bolt" loose TWICE. First time after coming loose a day after I picked up my car and was on the highway where my wheel could've fallen off and the SECOND time JUST after having come back to the shop to fix that issue after having had my brake rotor destroyed thanks to their incompetence(Oh and this is NOT an accusation more so an observation). And YEA, you guys SHOULD'VE inspected that bolt the TWO times you messed up and I had to come back and have the problem remedied. So thanks for taking my money but hopefully this is here to help anyone wondering whether or not they want to waste money on your place. Oh and BY THE WAY, it is ALSO called a Hub Bolt , if you need any confirmation I can call up my buddy again so he can teach you another couple lessons on how to run a shop. Cheers read more

I've driven past this place countless times, and I've been ripped off by my dealership too often, so I decided to take my business here. My alternator and battery died out on me and I needed to have them replaced stat. Had my Jeep towed here when they were closed for the weekend and had no issues keeping it there in the lot even though they had not yet accepted the vehicle for service. Spoke with the owner first thing this morning when they opened and he reassured me they would make its repair a priority. To start with it is not a negative review but neutral. My car starter died so it was not starting and due to emergency purposes I got my car towed to champion auto for $40 (I live 2 mile away and they provided me contact info. for towing guy they are associated with which kinda helps). I pre-ordered the starter from autozone a day before as none of the stores had it which helped me a lot. I gave them the new starter and all that was required was to replace bad starter with new one. They first said it will take 3 hours but they finished it in 1 hour which is good for me. My starter fuse was blown as well and I had some spare fuse so once they were done I replaced the fuse and the car started. Overall quick service if you know what you need but the only reason for 3 stars is it is very expensive. They charged me for 3 hrs no matter if they did it in 1 hour. And the total labor (as I already got the material) came out to be $204 which is kind of high. Gamal who is the owner was polite but he knows it's close to brickell area so as per him his charges are good based on brickell area. Long story short if you are in hurry like me you can surely give them a try else there are shops much cheaper than champion auto so depends on time you need it! read more
