I tried calling them the next day but no answer after many, many tries. I drove down there and was told my car would be next in line the next day and they would call me mid day. No call. I called them at least 10 times during the day with no answer. I went there again and was made promises again and I took my vehicle and left. What a waste of my time. No respect for others. 2 days without my vehicle and my car was parked on the street the whole time and very vulnerable. Judging by the number of cars parked all over the place my story seems to be the norm. The place is dirty and unorganized. The woman I spoke with was very apoligetic and very nice but I would not recommend this place at all.

I want to warn others about my experience with the owner (Mel) of this body shop. I went in for a…read morequote to install a front lip and rear bumper. The price seemed high, but since I was still price shopping and didn't know what was reasonable, I thanked him and told him exactly that before leaving to check other places. Less than an hour later, I came back because I hadn't found another option and decided I was over the hassle of shopping around. When I returned, he raised the price (Proceeds to lie). That immediately felt wrong to me. When I questioned it, his tone gave me the impression that he was upset I had not accepted his original offer earlier, and that he increased the price because he assumed I did not find a better deal elsewhere. I was very bothered by that and decided not to give him my business. About a month later, I still had not gotten the work done, so I decided to try again and went back to the shop. This time, his attitude was even worse. He literally looked at me and said something along the lines of, "Oh, I thought you were going to take it somewhere cheaper," in a sarcastic tone. Of course, he has the right as a business owner to refuse service, but I think people should know the kind of experience I had here. What bothered me most was the lack of professionalism and the way the pricing was handled. I do not think it is good business practice to give someone a price and then change it shortly after for no legitimate reason. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. Keep in mind his daughter was working in the front desk and witnessed the second interaction.

Sunset Service Center's Miguel was honest and knowledgeable. Miguel kept coming into the convenience store/cafe to tell me each thing that was being done to learn what was wrong with my AC. Since the car had no freon Miguel figured that there was a leak. He showed me two small seals which had liquid around them and needed to be replaced. He replaced the seals, vacuumed the system, filled up the freon, added dye to locate any leak, and told me to return the next week so he could check the AC. When I returned the AC was working perfectly, so Miguel knew the problem had been caused by the two worn seals. Miguel was honest when other mechanics might have told me the problem was serious and charged me lots of money. I value honesty and excellent service and will now take my car to Sunset Service Center for all my car servicing. I'm a very satisfied and COOL customer.
