I was in need of an oil change and windshield wipes so I decided to make an appointment at this Tire Plus. Now I recommend always making an appointment and to not walk in . Even though they do take walk ins , appointments are prioritized. My appointment was at 8:00 am but I got there at 7:00 am I know " an over achiever ". I was greeted and serviced right away which was great . I told them exactly what I needed done to my car . They didn't try to over sell me which was refreshing. Once they began working on my car I was informed of some other things that needed to be done . And since I was already aware of those things from past service appointments I agreed to have them be fixed . There is a spacious waiting area with a tv and vending machine if you decide to stay and wait for your car which is nice . Came to Tires Plus because of a nail puncture causing a slow leak in one of my tires. The nail was located on the top flat side of the tire, so I knew it could be repaired. The front desk associate came out to observe the tire and advised that Tesla tires cannot be patched due to the presence of foam inside of the tires. Therefore, I would have to replace the tire with a new one. I knew this wasn't reliable info, because Tesla tires can indeed be plugged/patched. All you need to do is search online to find that out. And it's not that the tire can't be repaired. It's that it takes a little more work to fix them. And maybe a bit more skill. Anyways, I asked how much it would cost to replace the tire and his answer was roughly $400 after installation and taxes. I politely declined. Just down the street about a mile away, I found another tire shop that was willing and able to patch/plug my tire for $60+ within a 40-minute timeframe. read more

The guy at the desk (when he finally acknowledged me) says that they can't fix my brand of tires. It's a company policy and no major company will fix it. The whole crew has great customer service and they will show you the discovered issues after a pre-inspection. The problem I had at this Tire Plus (in Doral), is with their tire rotation service - they never want to do it - specifically for those who paid for the unlimited tire rotation (which was around $90 dollars). Today, I went in and they tell me they cannot rotate my tires because I needed two new tires on the back. I said, what do you mean - I've been rotating these tires every 10,000 miles and the car only has 32k miles. How can that be? My take is that this location doesn't like to rotate tires unless you pay for rotation at that moment - so if you purchased the unlimited tire rotation, don't go there. read more

Wow.... Just WOW! I brought a tire in for a flat. They said it would be ready in 3-4 hours. 3 to 4 hours to patch a flat! Well... 3 to 4 hours came and went with no call. After I tried calling 8 times to try to speak to someone with no luck, I decided to drive there before they closed. I waited at the front desk with 4 other people for 20 minutes as the workers were standing around talking and looking in the window at us. Finally, someone comes out and says my tire is done. I pay $32 and they put it on the car. The very next morning, the same tire is flat again. I paid $38 to Uber to work and then called Tires Plus to complain. They asked me to bring the tire back in. After work I had to take it off and reinstall the spare. The next day my fiancé drove the tire in and that's when we had our first positive experience with this place. Diego appeared to remember the tire because the same nail was still in it. Apparently they never bothered to remove it. They just reinstalled it on my car. Let me repeat that..... THEY NEVER ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE TIRE! THEY CHARGED ME AND REINSTALLED THE TIRE WITH THE NAIL IN IT! Diego took the tire back and did not make us wait. We couldn't hear him but you could tell he was angry for us. He's the ONLY person that showed any concern for a customer in that whole business. If I could give Diego 5 stars I would. This Tires Plus location should get Zero. I'm strongly advising anyone who even contemplates coming here to seriously reconsider. This is a very large tire place and these guys know what they're doing. All the staff have been very friendly at serving us with any tire issues. We've driven right in and they have never said that you need an appointment, or made us wait very long. Lately whenever I come to Tires Plus (any location), there always seem to be some type of issue. Initially for the longest, I'd been trying to get my tires rotated but there was always some issue. They'd quote me a 2 and sometimes even 3 wait. But if I get an oil change it could be sooner. My rotation is free since they were brought from them. So in essence they wanted me to also get a paid service. Anywho, the oil change is what brings me to this review today and the service I received today. I presented the gentleman with the coupon that I wanted to use and he informed me that my car only takes synthetic. I further explain to him that I have never gotten a synthetic oil change and I know what type of oil my car takes. (Midas has tried this before). I mean even Nissan gives me a standard oil change and it's their car. I think they know best. But it was what he said next and how he said it, "if something happens to your engine you're going to come blame me and I'm not paying for no engine." First of all I've had my car for 5 years now and for 5 years I have been getting standard oil changes WITH NO PROBLEM. Secondly your tone of voice is unprofessional. As with most shops like this, the men usually assume the female knows nothing and think they will get over on them. Not me. Since I was there, I left my car for my FREE tire rotation that he said would take 2 hours and I will then go get my standard oil change from the manufacturer of my vehicle, Nissan. I asked them to check my wiper fluid pump because it wasn't spraying on to my windshield. They told me they had to replace the whole system which would have costed $600. My car was used by this store. My settings on my vehicle were changed, the MPG was completely different from when I tuned it in, and the invoices were falsified. I brought in my car to get a patch and they told me it would take 4 hours because they were busy. I turned in my car with 32.5 MPG and the setting were set to relaxed. When I received the car, literally 10 mins before they would close, I noticed the MPG was at 24.2 and the setting on my vehicle had been changed. The invoices shows my 2023 Acura Integra had 111,000 miles on it, when I received the invoice for the work completed it showed I had a 2009 Pontiac G6 base. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. I WILL NEVER USE THIS STORE AGAIN, who knows what they do to your car when you leave them with them. I've never heard of a patch taking 4 hours and why would my car have to be driven. You can't trust a brand that is willing to use your car without your authority or explaining why they would need to use it. Seems like sometimes they are good, other times they are not that good. A simple tire rotation and balanced became an overnight work!? Yeah... Called around 4pm, asking for the tire rotation/balance. They said, we are full but we can get it done by 7pm when we close. So I drove by, acknowledge I was the one who called, dropped the keys and left. 6:44pm I get missed a call them asking, where are the keys to my tires (since I don't own stock rims). I called back at 7:03pm they are ____. Replied, ok thank you but the technician left. So can we have it ready by tomorrow? After some worries, changes in my morning schedule, I agreed asking if they could have it ready before 10am, "sure no problem" . Good! 10:30am I arrive and my car is high on the lift, not ready. Not too shabby! I'm a regular customer of their Bird Road location but had to use this other location for convenience near my office and their Saturday hours. I took my "Eleanor" here to get her checked up after the accident. Fernando, the service manager, was able to get me an appointment and assigned to a mechanic fairly last minute. As with the other location, they pinpointed what was priority and what could wait, and quickly fixed the alignment of my car. The business model for Tires plus is a bad one. They pay their Mechanics per job. The more expensive the job, the more they make. Due to this incentive, they try to rip you off every time you bring your car in for service or tires. They never recommend the store brand and always find a issue when you have an oil change. Any electronic issue with your car? don't bother with these greese monkeys they don't have the know how. I base these statements not on one experience but many with different cars and issues. Absolutely fantastic service!! I came in to get a new set of tires for my wife's car. After discovering that her tires were really bad. First person I talked to was Alberto. I called on a Friday afternoon at 5pm when I called two Lexus dealerships here in south Florida and they would even return a call. Alberto was very informative and friendly. He said he would be in first thing on Saturday am. I went in on Saturday, got a great set of tires at a good price. Pedro (the store manager) helped me with the deal. I spoke to him about my other car needing a wheel bearing and he insisted on looking at it free of charge. After a quick diagnosis with his mechanic, he determined it was my Lexus dealership didn't tighten my rims after I just had my front tires replaced. I asked Pedro what I owed him and he didn't want to charge me !!! In summary, Pedro has my business and I'm taking my daughters car for an alignment tomorrow morning and I will suggest his store as long as he is there. I honestly don't quite understand the poor rating on this place. I have been here 3 times and every time I was treated extremely well. The first time I brought my Nissan Pathfinder for alignment and balancing. I bought new tires at Costco, balance them 4 times with them and once at Pepboys. No one could find a vibration problem on my vehicle. One trip here and all my problems went away. I have brought my Mini Cooper here twice and both times the job was phenomenal. The young guys at the counter are very respectful, treat customers well and know their business. I walked away very satisfied with every single job on my vehicles. Keep it up guys! Just went there because a clunk sound in my steering wheel. They told me there were damages in all the rubber components in my front end. So i decided to replace all parts in the front end including new front shocks, cost me around 1000 bucks. I really didnt pay attention, and went for a long vacation the next day. When i came back and drove my car, i noticed again the clunk noise, and took again the car to this place. They told me they will have to replace the whole rack and pinon and would cost me 700 bucks. I did not like their diagnosis, went to google it and learn that the noise can come from everything but the racnk and pinion. Took the car to another place, they jack it up and we discover a loose bolt in the steering wheel colunm, they charge me 15 bucks. I went yesterday to take off a flat tire .Was there waiting for almost a hour for them to take off a tire.I was told that it was too tight to remove using air tools or manual force .So little to no help at all .Didnt want to patch up my tire either which they had patched the pair tire to last time probably just wanted to make money on me and sell me a new tire .Today I removed the same lug nuts that were too tight with my manual force and the regular oem tool.If I could rate them less than a star I would .Dont go to this place rip off artist read more

Terrible place for the following reasons: 1. While waiting for my service, two customers came in and complained about their services recently received about the oil change to break replacement. 2. For my car, they installed a new headlight, then two days later, it was not working again. When I returned, I was told that they changed the wrong side of headlight, this is not a truth as when they completed the first service, I checked, the headlight was "ON". I think they used a used bulb which went out in a few days, then just made up false story about changing the wrong side. They must really think that I am stupid. 3. They quoted one price over the phone for headlight change and when service was completed, the price was doubled. Very disappointed and irate. Bottom Line: As a customer, my time was not honored respectfully and I will not return in the future. I took a chance despite their low ratings because they're a few miles from my house and had the earliest available time for me to be seen. Big mistake. I made an appointment over the phone for 9AM and arrived the day of a few minutes prior. There were already a few other customers standing outside who were walk-ins. Naturally, we were seen in the order of arrival. Unfortunately, the walk-ins were taken and serviced before me. To make matters worse, when I spoke to the gentleman at the front desk, he had trouble pulling my appointment up. He printed out my service request and wrote "10:15AM appointment" on it. YES, an hour and fifteen minutes after my actual appointment which I booked in advance but still somehow ended up being the last person to be seen. As far as service costs, overpriced. I came in for a patch but couldn't do it myself as the diameter of the hole was large. $1.99 patch with $21 for labor and $7 for labor balancing. With taxes, it came out to $32 for a tire patch. Although I do understand most shops charge for a labor minimum, I know other places further out do it for much less. If it was any other day, I'd be fine waiting but I had made two additional appointments for other errands afterwards which allowed for wiggle room but not an extra hour and fifteen minutes added on for no reason at all. Needless to say, I was late to both and ended up being considered a walk-in because of it. Ironic, right? Additional Notes: Staff was friendly.
