I wasn't able to wear them as they were, but I wanted to keep the frames. Most of the optometrists in my area were unwilling to just do the lenses. This is when I discovered Eye Glasses Direct. They were a referral from Walmart optical of all places. The owner is very thorough and made some recommendations I'd never thought of before. I won't lie...the prices seemed high, and I'm not sure he bills insurance, but for the first time in a long time I actually have glasses that work! I paid about $450 a pair for just the lenses. These were progressives that included a lightweight lens, with blue light protection, and non-glare and scratch resistant coating. Turnaround time was exceptional and my glasses were done in less than two weeks. This will be my new go to for filling prescriptions. Highly recommend.

My prior provider was transparent with my prescription and I could have a copy, if desired. Frame options were limited to the more stylish and costly version. Lastly, limited hours of availability could make it difficult for some to schedule an appt. outside the hours of 8am to 5pm. They are open some Saturdays so you have to inquire with the office.
