My appointment at the Vision Center was fabulous. My eye exam was done with a great care by Dr. James Pittman. He was professional, took his time explaining every test and procedure he performed and left me with a very positive feeling. From the exam I moved into the frame center where I was greeted with a warm welcome and plenty of helpful advise. My glasses came about a week later and once again I was treated with enthusiasm and professionalism. It was a great experience. Wow I read Andreas review and it was right on, I went here to get some contacts I paid for my visit which was high. Then when my contacts came in and I wanted to ask them if they could tell me if one of my contacts was right now cause I didn't want to accidentally put 2 in them they were unfriendly and rude like I was asking for something big. Anyway they said they could do some customer care but it would be an extra office visit for $75 all they care about is taking your money. I suggest you try another business. read more

The unfortunate thing about your prescription for glasses not changing much over the years is that you have to have a prescription within a year to get a replacement pair of glasses. I was not sure what to expect when I made my appointment to get my eyes examined, I just needed glasses. The optometrist, Austin Ofteneo, was very thorough, and very pleasant to work with. Additionally, his assistant, Jocelyn, was extremely knowledgeable and the two of them work very well together. After a horrible experience at Castaic Optometry, over the last 4 years, we tried Walmart and what a wonderful experience! I started bringing my elementary age son here first about 4 months ago. I did not want to subject him to what my daughter and husband went through over at that place. From the start to his first pair of glasses it was great! I have since brought my high school age daughter over to get her glasses and contacts. Of course we found out when the Walmart doctor did her exam that the new Rx she had been given just 4 months prior was wrong. Could explain her headaches and oddness with her vision previously. Now she a better type of contact lenses that she absolutely loves and her glasses Rx is right. My husband got his CORRECT Rx and size of frames that was incorrect from Castaic Optometry. Everyone can actually see and no one has reported any headaches! Easy to book appointments. Turn around time was quicker than original ETA. The staff friendly. Excellent customer service! The optometrist was very informative. He was willing to listen and answer questions! He was very thorough and careful during my exam. Given COVID the situation, I experienced such a pleasant team! Upon my arrival, I was greeted, temperature checked prior to entering, and immediately saw the optometrist thereafter. I didn't have to wait at all, everything looked very clean, areas were sanitized after use, and staff was wearing masks. I felt completely at ease! I was fitted for both contacts and glasses, both I picked up at about a week. My contacts feel completely as if I had 20/20 Vision as do the glasses! I am coming back as the staff and optometrist were willing to help and were super diligent in delivering quality care!! Highly recommend for optometry! read more

You get what you pay for.....Don't know where to start with these people, about 3 weeks ago i dropped off my glasses that I thought were not insured anymore. When I got there, i asked if she can see if they were still under warranty and she said "YES". Here I am nearly 4 weeks later, blind as a bat and still no glasses. I decided to call and see what is the hold up, to find out my glasses were lost. Due to the lockdown in California I am now going without glasses despite the fact that twice they guaranteed me that I would be receiving them. I then asked for a number to the lab so that I could contact them directly and they gave me a disconnected number when I called back they said that was the only number they had. They are unprepared to help their customers and are disorganized to the point of not even knowing how to contact their lab. They are unprofessional and unable to help their patients. read more

Not impressed with the selection of glasses, they use old technology progressive lenses and that's why it's cheaper than many places with superior products. They don't ship contacts so I would recommend finding a private office to go to if you want quality service. It's so true you get what you pay for. read more

Everyone there is great!! Office was very busy, one person working, however, I was greeted by that one person, Carla. I was told another salesperson was coming. My husband cannot stop saying how wonderful Dr. Ofreneo is. He said "As long as he is there I'm going to keep going back to him every year ". If I can give the Walmart Stevenson Ranch more stars I would. I recently had an appointment with them and I couldn't be anymore happy with their wonderful service even, with COVID. The staff all wore mask, kept 6ft distancing and made sure things where being cleaned. Debbie, Joselene and Karla were all so helpful with any questions I had. Their positive and welcoming attitudes made it such a wonderful experience. I was able to try frames on (they do have a protocol for keep them clean) and able to also, order my contacts. Dr. Ofreneo was so professional and a pleasure to have as an ophthalmologist/optometrist. He ask if I had any questions also, provided me educational information in regards to my eye exam. I couldn't be any happier with them. I would highly recommend this Vision Center for you eye needs lol. As a customer, keep in mind they are working their hardest with COVID and doing their very best to give you the best service. After two separate vision exams, I paid for two boxes of contacts that were both incorrect prescriptions. I have been wearing contacts for 35 years and have never had such a frustrating waste of time and money trying to get the right prescription. I ended up having to schedule another appointment with established experienced optometrist not one in training working out of a Walmart. read more

I walked in without an appointment. They were able to see me right away. (11:15 am on a Thursday) Dr.Daniel was great at giving me choices and recommendations. I received an exam for contacts. He was able to give me sample contacts to try before I ordered. I have never had prescription glasses and have never worn contacts. I have been depending on readers for years. Distance was finally becoming a problem. Brianna, I think was her name, was so helpful at teaching me how to put in and take out my new contacts. I then went to pick out glasses and was helped by another helpful girl. I wish I had noticed the name of the other young lady that helped me. She gave me useful information about types of contacts and the specials the office was offering. Needless to say I gave hugs to the 3 girls when I left. What a great experience.
