I used to come here consistently many years ago, but stopped after they moved from their original location. I recently decided to come back and give them another try. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. It's not like it used to be. I did notice a few staff members from years ago, but the new employees were very rude and extremely sales-focused. I came in with my daughter for eye exams and checked in at the front desk. Instead of checking both of us in, the associate checked me in first and then left to attend to the sales floor. We were told to go sit and wait, which we did. A very rude woman then came up to us and asked, "Are you waiting for an appointment? This area is reserved for transactions only. You can find yourself a seat somewhere else." That was shocking. Is this really an eye clinic or just a lens sales floor? It felt like they were selling glasses the way some places sell phones or cars. At that point I went back to the front desk, asked them to cancel our appointments, and we left. Ian was a HUGE help when I needed contact lenses for my daughter. Thankfully, we are customers of Lens Crafters so they had our prescription on file. We were in Hawaii, and my daughter used up her last contact lenses the day before. She can't surf in glasses, so I needed her to have her contacts asap! He was able to send me the prescription, and Lens Crafters HI was able to fill them with a purchase of only one box (I had to get 2 because her eyes are different prescriptions). Lens Crafters has the best style and variety of reading glasses and sunglasses, however, what keeps me going back on an annual basis is the quality and craft and the care each of the team members have consistently provided for me. I use progressive lens and they always do a great job. If I ever have issues or any kind of any problem, they don't give up until I am 100% satisfied. read more

I had an eye exam where it is noted I have age related cataracts and congenital cataracts. It is difficult seeing at night. I asked for a note stating my work hours are during the day instead of driving at night and the dr refused to do this. I even got in a car accident about a month ago because I could not see well at night. It is known with cataracts that Cataracts significantly impair night driving by causing increased glare, severe halos around headlights, reduced contrast. My eyes are not blurry yet. All he wanted to do was refer me to another doctor for carat surgery that I do not want or need at this time! read more

I really wish I would've come to this website before booking my appointment. What a nightmare. STAY AWAY! From the moment I walked in, the service was a mess. I was told to have a seat in the back check-in area, which I did but no one ever came to help me. The same guy who told me to wait completely ignored me and instead helped others who came in after me. Eventually, the optometrist himself had to come out and ask if I'd been helped (spoiler: I hadn't). He flagged down someone to finally check me in and hand me the iPad. Once I finished the check-in, I came back to the desk as instructed surprise! No one was there again. I waited. And waited. I finally asked another employee for help, and she said, "Give me one second." She did come back, but when she looked me up in their system... they had NOTHING. No insurance info. No personal info. Nothing. Just blank. Then, they had the audacity to ask: "Can we just do your exams and treatment now, and figure out your insurance later?" Um, absolutely NOT. I'm not about to let you do an exam and then hit me with a surprise bill because you suddenly don't take my insurance. Are you kidding me?? This place is a joke. I honestly don't know how this LensCrafters location is still in business. But after reading the other reviews yeah, it all makes sense now. For one hire staff that have manners! I had a scheduled appointment today at 11:40am upon arrival I was rushed to the back by the gentleman at the front for check in with a woman named Kate who was beyond rude. I wasn't even given a chance to finish giving her my name before I was cut off and told I was late and that my appointment was at 11:20am. I tried explaining that was wrong amd before I could show her my confirmation email she again insisted I was late and that I couldn't be seen until later this afternoon. The way she interrupted me amd her tone was beyond welcoming! What happen to the customer is always right attitude? Compared to my previous optometrist office this one is professional and clean, both me and my family member had back to back appointments for our first visit here and unfortunately we did come on a busy day. We were there for a very long time, over two hours in between both waiting and then being seen and afterwards looking at lenses took even more time (but that was our choice at that point.) Veronica was so sweet helping us pick out our lenses and being patient with us, she was wonderful. The front desk women (I didn't get their names) were also wonderful, and I appreciate they felt bad how long we waited to be seen lol. We will be coming back when we need to! read more

I had an old pair of designer sunglasses that were bent and beat up. I walked into Lens Crafters to see if they could reset or fix my sunglasses and Cookie was quick to help! She was able to straighten out and readjust my frames, cleaned my lenses in under 5 minutes. I received it before New Years and was able to use my glasses on my trip to Japan. My appointment was for 4:40pm and I arrived 20 minutes early, but still waited 40 minutes for my pre-exam. Then I waited another hour to see the optometrist and eventually, another one who had noticed me wait in for so long was kind enough to take me. It was insanely slow paced. The good news though was that Joseph was an excellent help on the sales floor and was incredibly kind and supportive about picking the right frames for me. He was apologetic about the systems glitching and held great conversation. If it wasn't for him and another person who I can't remember her name unfortunately (and woman with glasses isn't exactly a helpful description in a LensCrafters) then I would have lowered my review to one star. This place is awful. I did not like my doctor at all, he put drops in my eye for no reason and did tests that I don't think I really needed. They couldn't get the machine to work, so they kept on using a laser in my left eye, which was my good eye. My vision is significantly worse after that visit. I will neverrrr go back to a Lens Crafters again. Very unprofessional/rude staff as well. read more

I made an appointment a week in advance. At a previous appointment, the LensCrafters' optometrist recommended a dilation procedure and so I arranged a ride home. I waited an hour past my appointment to be seen. I felt rushed through the various vision tests and the optometrist pressured me into signing a form which stated that I refused the recommended dilation procedure. I should have stood my ground, but at this point I did not trust the employees and felt that I would be better off going elsewhere. Also, when I made the appointment, I was never told that my insurance was no longer accepted at LensCrafters. read more

I really liked the frames I chose, and the employees were helpful during the purchase process. However, I've worn glasses for decades, and this is the only place I've encountered that offers no warranty--not even for a month--unless you pay an additional insurance fee. The bigger issue is that my prescription is incorrect. I have to rely on my old glasses to see clearly when driving. Since I didn't pay the extra $35 for insurance, I'm left wondering what the point was of getting new glasses in the first place. I will not be returning. read more

WORST SERVICE AND HORRIBLY INCOMPETENT!!! I brought my one year-old Ray-Ban glasses here to get the lenses replaced because they were scratch scratched I come to pick my glasses up one week later and the arm has been broken on my basically brand new glasses. Niko, who is a manager at the Valencia LensCrafters tells me that this is the chance that I take when you bring your glasses in to get a replacement frame and that if I wanted a new frame he would have to charge me. I basically had to threaten to sue him for destruction of property before he ordered another piece for my frame online. He then proceeds to order another piece online and tells me I can pick it up in one to two weeks. I called two weeks after the part was supposedly ordered and the manager Tony did give me a free set of glasses. However, the new glasses were not progressive like the glasses that were damaged so I'm still a bit disappointed about that . It has been over a month and I still have not received a call from Niko or anyone else at this branch in regard to repairing my glasses that was destroyed by one of their employees (Nico). I've called on three different occasions and each time they tell me that the part is on its way. The workers seem to lack accountability, professionalism and are horribly incompetent. My advice, go anywhere but here!! Zero stars!!!! read more

I had to get eye exams for my wife and I and LensCrafters was on the list of insured locations. We scheduled our appointments a week in advance for Saturday, one at 4:00 PM and the other at 4:20 PM. The staff was very nice and they made sure they were practicing safe distancing protocols and cleaning. The optometrist that we saw was also a nice guy who seemed to know his job. None of the above equates to the one star. As noted we had scheduled appointments, mine at 4:20 I actually saw the optometrist at almost 6:00 PM. He quickly did the eye exam and determined I had almost 20/20 vision and didn't need glasses, I have recently been using over the counter blue-light reading glasses for long days on the computer. My wife has had vision issues for years and needed glasses. He gave her an updated prescription and then after...at 6:30 now we sat down with the assistant manager who took her through the options based on our insurance. The frames were covered 100% under the insurance but the lenses were going to total $570....?!? My wife and I both decided we needed to see if another provider on the list had a better price and so she choose a different local optometrist on the insured list. I will post a separate review sometime later. With the same prescription she got at LensCrafters the other optometrist not only was able to provide the glasses plus all of the items LensCrafters quoted, PLUS, six months worth of disposable contacts for my wife for $257 total. Glasses and contacts...why is your price so much different LensCrafters??? So with the extremely long wait time and the EXTREMELY overpriced glasses only option I am saying try someplace else and I won't recommend or be back to LensCrafters. read more

First the tech Mia took her sweet time looking for the insurance info. She blew me off for about 15 minutes. Apparently she couldn't pull it up. I found it interesting that it didn't seem she was pulling up anything at all. It takes seconds to confirm the insurance not 15 min. She kept me waiting while she did other things around the store. She then proceeded with another look up attempt and she was able to pull up the info with no problem. She took another 15 min. Now the kicker....she gives a quote for new lenses single vision reading for $230. And that's 20% off. I will never return to this place. Spend your money at Costco for $80 lenses. We visited this store LensCrafters yesterday and had very bad experience. When we arrived at the front desk, the lady told us they can do everything based on our requests after we gave her all information regarding the eyeglass requirments and the insurance, and then she asked us to select eyeglass frams. She was not any help during our frame selection and did not want to answer any question. Even though she did not want service us after we are done the fram selection and she asked the other store person talked to us and this person finally told us our requests can not be met since its eyelab is not be able to work on the things we need for the eyeglass. We ended up nothing but have to left the store after spent about an hour. Please do not go to this store for the service like such a unprofessional way to a customer. read more

Purchased 2 pairs of glasses about 3 months ago, prescription readers and prescription sunglasses, both with progressive lenses. I purchased all of the upgrades to the lenses totaling about $1500 for both with insurance. About a week ago I noticed that on the right eye of my sunglasses there is a weird scuff and it's directly in my field of vision. I went into the store to see what I can do to potentially fix the scratch and was told that since I didn't purchase the warranty my only option is to buy a new pair. Ummm wow, it's only on 1 lens, you can't replace 1 lens? Apparently not. I also thought that by purchasing all of the lens upgrades there was some sort of standard warranty and apparently I was wrong about that as well. What a complete rip off!! The person working at the counter that day was incredibly dismissive as well. You live and learn I guess and I learned an expensive lesson. I bring them in so they can warranty them and they cant fix them. They told me that I must of put them in the sun . Really! ... Brand new 600.00 sun glasses Really ! There sun glasses ! There for the sun! So then she said you must of sat on them and bent the frame. I said show me where I damage them. They couldn't show me any damage. So they have to charge me for an other pair . I was so disappointed in the service that I got at the LensCrafters in Valencia at the mall. We went in for an appointment, that was scheduled for 4:40. We get there early to be prompt, and conscious of people's time. Well, that was not taken into consideration at all. When we got there, we were told to walk to the back and check in. I waited for about 10 minutes before the male doctor came out and checked my son in. The girl who was supposed to check in was nowhere to be found. Then we WAITED! We waited and waited, he was called in for the pre exams. Then we waited and waited yet again. So, I go up and ask "how much longer?" The girl working in the back dressed in scrubs, says your next. Mind you this is now an hour of waiting. Still nothing. No one is telling me anything. So I walk out to take a call. My husband who has been waiting with us comes storming out. I ask what happened? He told me, he went yet again now an hour and 45 mins. of waiting. When he asked how much longer? He was told he had the option to leave, he didn't have to wait. I was upset! I went back in and asked what happened, I was told that the doctor was busy with someone else and they didn't know how much long. Then a big guy dressed in all black tells me, The doctors take the time needed with everyone, they don't know how much time each doctor will take. So, I don't have to wait. I preceded to tell them I understand that. But they could have told me that, after almost 2 hours of waiting. They looked at me like I was the problem. I have cancelled all my appointments with LensCrafters and will be taking my business somewhere else. I know nothing will be done, but I just needed to let some one know. The changes made at the Valencia location, is not a good place anymore., the new people added may not be a good fit. The big guy, used to be so nice and today he was so rude. We wasted our time there, with no notifications of what was going on. In the 2 hours there. I didn't see the doctor we were scheduled come out once. So you're telling me the doctor took 2 hours with one person?? We have been going for a few years to this location, the 2 male doctors are great and the girl named Passion is also wonderful, but this was my last time at this location. I'm done. The change from inside the mall to outside and the addition of the girl wearing scrubs to do paperwork is pointless. She looks lost and confused, very overwhelmed. read more

We took an appointment 5 days in advance and just 1.5 hr prior the appointment time we recieved a call from the lence craft notifying us that due to an emergency event the Dr is asking to reschedule the appointment, we asked what type of emergency is it , but the caller said it is a family emergency and we can not share it with you. First we hope that the Dr. and the family are doing well. Second we hoped that the management team did their quality control ( ex. Find a substitute dr. Prior the call ) , we believe they should have a contingency plan and to make sure to communicate it with the client. We were not happy by the call since the caller did not share if they tried or no to solve the conflict , all she did is asking the client to solve the problem. read more

Appointment set for 12:20: walked out by 2:10. Not sure what's the point of even having an appointment here. Had to check with them if my appointment with the doctor after the initial screening is still existent. Contact lens fitting is apparently different then just the regular eye exam, was told at the very end while other opto's I've gone to before always included both or would at least check at the start before making client wait 2 hours. Staff are super short; complaining about multiple phone calls and wanting to take a nap or lunch break. Understand appointments are limited to the doctors capacities but check in staff can at least help with experience and update us on the wait. Even when I piqued interest at some frames at the end asking if they can do transition lens she says she would need to check with someone then proceeds to not check with anyone and just looks at me like okay I guess my question request isn't worth your time. If appointments and doctors are slammed and the front office is complaining about the phone and naps, either change the appointment system and space out the appointments instead of making multiple people (not just me) wait long after the appointments. read more
