One of my pair of sunglasses needed fixing, and I finally got around to coming here and getting repairs done. After inspecting my glasses, the customer service rep informed me that they needed to order the original part directly from Prada, and it would be about a 2 week wait. I was fine with that, so I had the order placed and paid right then and there. Two weeks later, I got a call, and came right back here. I dropped off my glasses for 15 minutes, and presto! My glasses were as good as new! In previous visits, I've mainly come here to get new glasses. They've always had exactly what I was looking for, and they've never disappointed me. This store refuses to honor its own warranty. I have an invoice from 6/15/19 that states: "If your sunglasses are defective within 24 months of purchase, we'll replace them." The other day the frame of the sunglasses spit apart while I was wearing them and one of the lenses dropped to the ground and shattered. Sunglass Hut Torrance insists this is "normal wear and tear" and also falsely claims that the "24 month" warranty stated clearly on my invoice is a 12 month warranty and that the words "we'll replace them" means "we will pay half the cost of a new pair." So never shop at this store if you have any expectation that they will honor their warranty. read more

I bought a 200$ sunglass and when I tried to return it unused within 2 weeks they found a very small scratch and refuse to give me a refund. When they sell the glass they just clean it and give it to you and don't check for scratches. When you return it they will put the glass under a microscope and will find something so they can refuse the refund.. So i bought a pair of Ray Bans , same as previous poster that i didnt clearly inspect for scratches or blemishes returned UNUSED after the weekend, Veronica comes to check and states its been scratched and sounded like a rehearsed line ( or they gave me a demo item in the first place ) , i said r u seriously giving me a hard time? .i took pictures of her inspecting the glasses claiming scratches were there but i couldnt see. offered 50 refund only(not even specified in receipt) i said NO WAY, unfotunately i left my glasses with her in my pure disgust and kept my receipt. i proceeded to contact my card issuer to dispute their business practice of defrauding genuine customers. sad to say i lost the dispute bec bank asked for proof of return(?? thats my point! i couldnt accept a 50% bec i NEVER used it and wasnt even dropped!! until that condescending and rude Veronica lady claimed its scratched. now bank took out my USD 272.74 and believed their lie. i'm furious that store blatantly lied to my face as well as to the bank claiming i NEVER returned it? the NERVE of this manager .! even though i had pic of that lying store mngr inspecting my glasses for return as evidence but bank said its not sufficient proof to get my full credit back . I believe it is just the Customer Service of Sunglass Hut that is poor. I'm sure their products are great for the price. We went into this Sunglass Hut to simply purchase a $50 gift card. We walked out with no gift card but the associate said that they "lost" the transaction and the $50 was never loaded onto a card. The bank did indeed charge the account for the $50.00 transaction but they were unable to give a gift card at the time. Something as simple as a gift card turned into this huge ordeal where we have to go in several times and talk to several different people, just to get the original $50 back. It is extremely ridiculous that their corporate office called to say "come in with your receipt at any time and we will gladly refund your money whenever." When in actuality there is a specific manager that needs to do it, at a certain time, on a certain day. I am struggling to understand why this gift card was purchased on the 19th and here we are in 2018, still with no credit back. Not to rub salt on any wound, but the 20% off coupon that expired on Christmas won't do me any good as I just really want my original $50 back. I believe there are other ways that this situation could have been handled, including the manager not running away to the back to avoid the problem, which is ultimately why I would never give my business here and why I feel as though they deserve a 0/5 stars but default to a 1. read more

Horrible inventory management, good customer service. Bought a 300+ Prada sunglass here, I asked the lady if I could get the one that is not open instead of the one in shelf display. Sales rep. Replied that they no longer have another one in stock. I said ok fine, left without a hassle. Couple of hours later, I noticed that the sunglasses has been badly scratched around the frame, the fit was loose and the signature mark was damaged. So I came back and told the rep if I could exchange the product or if I could go to a diff. location to switch a newer pair, which I did. I went to Southbay Galleria, and they have better choices. The lady that works there is very nice, she immediately exchange it for a better pair of sunglass bec. the one I got was defected. There is a huge difference between the quality of service and product. Lesson: If you want high end sunglasses do not come here! I had a very positive experience with this location, and would definitely return. The store is actually much bigger than it appears from the outside, and their selection is full of new models from their top brands. You'll likely see the newest frames from their website, which is great if you like to browse a bit online before going to the store to shop in person. The customer service is impeccable - courteous and helpful, without being clingy or fake. Ignacio was really knowledgeable about the items in stock, and I felt free to browse and try on as many pairs as I liked without feeling rushed. I noticed he was just as polite to people "just looking" as he was with customers buying multiple pairs of sunglasses. Also, I appreciated that he took the time to thoroughly polish my new sunglasses and let me choose my own case at checkout, even though it was late and near closing time. I went to this sun-glass hut and was having a hard time deciding on a pair, the worker was very patient and helpful. He said I should try a pair out for a few days and if I'm not satisfied I can exchange or return it, even in New York where I was headed so I tried it but didn't quite like it. When I got to New York I realized I had left my receipt in California so I held on to the glasses until I got back, about a week later.
