Excellent in store experience. When I entered the store, I was promptly greeted by a young woman (I cannot recall her name). I had already researched online and knew the name of the glasses frames I wanted to physically try on, since I already did the virtual try on. She provided me with the frames, then I realized that I had forgot to request the narrow width. She and Adam, the store leader, both assisted. Adam took over at this point. We chatted for a few minutes and he agreed these frames were probably the best ones for me. He gave me a quote of $95, plus $50 if I want blue-light filtering. They also sell contacts and I could get 20% off my contacts if I buy frames and contacts from them. He gave me the quote, but I found somewhere else that could beat the price he provided. I was not ready to purchase the new glasses right away. He told me I can return to the store or just place the order online. They do not work on commission, so it doesn't matter if I place the order directly with him. He was fantastic and I appreciated him and his help very much. I have frequented this location a couple of times before finally deciding on a pair of cool new frames. I am not new to WP and have been getting their glasses for many years. The process is easy, especially if you already have a prescription, they are happy to add it to any frame you'd like! I got two frames with an added 15% off, not bad at all. I want to especially shout out Daniel who had such great customer service every time I came in. He walked me through my options and even adjusted my old frames the first time I came in! I will not be using Warby Parker in the future after using them for 5 years. Their lenses never used to scratch so easily, and I had to replace my lens 5 months after getting a new pair of glasses. When I told one of the associates I wanted to get my lenses repaired per their guarantee if it's less than 6 months, she said I should just get a new frame too because their repairs are backed up. Excuse me? I am not going to pay more to fix something that shouldn't have had issues in the first place. It's been gone to be replaced for 4 weeks now, and I don't even know when I'm getting it back. This means I haven't had my glasses for 15% of the time I've owned them. I deserve to have paid less than what I paid if I wasn't going to be able to use my glasses for this amount of time. Their customer service and quality of product has gone down significantly. We ordered a pair of lenses and they were supposed to be transition. We didn't think they were when they arrived so we went into the store to exchange them. Jokingly while they were helping us I said we need some free ice cream as customer service. Well, 10 seconds later they actually ordered us a pint from the ice cream store across the park. My son and I looked at each other like we had stumbled into heaven. I felt guilty because it turned out the lenses were actually transitional and we just hadn't worn them in the sunlight enough. Came in on Saturday to pick out new glasses for my daughter before she leaves for college. No one offered to help but we roamed around the empty store. My daughter told one of the associates she liked her frames and was told that they were discontinued. She didn't recommend something similar or make other suggestions. We chose something and the associate scanned my daughter's prescription. 2 days later I get an email that says my order can't be processed because they don't have the prescription. My daughter emails it to the address stated. I call customer service to follow up and they tell me they haven't received it but will email the retail store. Next day no news. I call the number listed for the retail store and just get generic customer service. They told me they have no way to contact the retail store in El Segundo except by email. It's been 5 days of waiting and likely 90 minutes on hold. Awful customer service both at the store and from the call center. I'm done. read more

I picked out a nice $95 dollar frame, gave my prescription and they said that my new sunglasses would be $495. I need progressive lenses but this was more than I had expected regardless. I decided I wanted to treat myself on Father's Day so I placed my order and was told they would arrive in the mail after five days. Yay! Two days later I got a text message from WB saying they needed answers to questions about my lenses, I called and dealt with customer service twice and was told they would get back to me and they did not and they did not know what the questions were. Finally I went back to the store at The Point and after a while they said that I needed to pay another $160 more for high index plastic lenses. By now I had put in a lot of time and really, $655 for prescription sunglasses? I walked away very upset. I wrote to customer service from the WB website and they never responded. Never Again! Maybe. Well, I ended up leaving a lifelong customer for Warby Parker. Sadly, I can't remember the name of the associate who helped me. She was absolutely genuine and deserves all the recognition. Not a good experience. I ordered sunglasses and regular eyeglasses on April 27. I paid for expedited shipping. Both pairs were set to arrive on May 6. Today, May 6, I called the store to inquire where my glasses are. I learned that the glasses haven't been made. No one from the store reached out when I didn't respond to an email they sent to me at the incorrect email address. They typed in my email Address incorrectly. They were asking for my prescription - which they had from the day I was in the store. Retail training needs improvement. Please make sure they have your correct contact information before paying. I appreciate mistakes are made but the follow through was lacking. read more

I decided to try Warby Parker on the recommendation of my daughter and son-in-law. I typically buy my glasses through my optometrist, but the prices have been quite pricey and decided to try something more economical since I typically have to buy glasses on an annual basis. I purchased two pairs of glasses - one regular glasses with progressive lens and the other a sunglasses with progressive lens. The cost was more than typical because of the progressive lens component and the sunglasses was higher than the norm. They had a good selection of low bridge glasses, but I wished they had an even more larger selection. It took me a while to decide which style and after I ordered them, I ended up changing my mind and was able to contact them to cancel my original order. I returned to WP and selected a new lens. I was going away for the weekend in the coming weeks and wanted to ensure that I received my glasses in time before my trip. Fortunately, both the glasses and sunglasses were delivered quite quickly. The sunglasses mailed very quickly, probably because this order did not change. My regular glasses took a bit longer due to my order change. I like the case the glasses came in, but the case is large and difficult to fit into smaller bags. About a month or so later, the screw on my sunglasses came off and my earpiece fell off. I visited the WP store and they immediately replaced it on the spot. Overall, very happy with the service and the price point for the two types of glasses. read more

I've gotten two beautiful frames from there, even though I have a high prescription they made the lens look very flattering in my thin frames! So I don't look bug eyed! The guy who greeted me when I was here was awesome. I think he might have been the manager. He was manning the door. This review has nothing to do with him. He was the only thing good in my experience. I ordered sunglasses from here and the guy helping me must have been new. That is the benefit of the doubt I will give because it was such a terrible experience. He kept insisting the frame name I said was the one I was looking at instead of the one I knew it was (I researched online before I went). Then he argued that my pair I had was not polarized; another employee thankfully intervened and solved the problem simply by rotating them in front of a computer screen (they were polarized). When my sunglasses finally arrived in the mail, they were not polarized bc the employee forgot or didn't select polarized as an option. So I had to waste my time resolving that. Today, my husband had to go BACK in because they not only ordered the wrong frames, the lenses were not progressives, which he paid extra for. Instead of recognizing their error and wasting our time, making him wait twice as long for his new pair, and bringing our children out, they had the audacity to change us the $40 difference. I have this Spectera/UHC vision plan and I tried shopping at Costco twice and also Lens Crafters and could not find frames I liked. Well, I found one set of frames I liked in Lens Crafters but they were $450. So that wasn't bappening. I was beginning to think I just didn't like myself in glasses. My husband suggested Warby Parker so I drove from Torrance to check it out. The first pair I tried on was so much better than any of the 60 or so pairs I tried in Costco! As I narrowed it down, the sales person thought of one other I might like that was a hybrid of my three favorites, and they were perfect. They arrived by mail in about a week. They are my first work/computer/reading progressives, and I love them! They are stylish, cute, and I can see! The price was reasonable with my insurance plan, but honestly I love them so much I would pay full price here because it is something you wear daily so you should feel good and pretty in glasses, not old or nerdy! Received a much appreciated gift card for new sunglasses at Xmas. Came by here after getting back from vaca. I walked in, was greeted and I asked if the person could point me towards the guys' sunglasses. She said "there are no genders here, but the masculine glasses are over here." I felt like I had made a faux pas for a moment. Then I realized that when you go to their website it asks if you want men or women glasses... anyway, not the point. Eventually found a pair that I liked. Had to get the "wide" size, because their regular size glasses looked like I was wearing Mr. Potato Head's glasses... really small. I know I have a big head, but objectively, their regular glasses are quite small. Walked out with a pretty good pair of sunglasses. Would be nice if they had more variety in frames. A friend recommended Warby Parker and I'm so grateful she did. We not only loved going there - so many great options, but Chloe was so great with recommendations and making it a breeze. Walked out with an order for glasses for my 13 year old daughter who was dreading glasses but LOVED the ones she got, and I finally got nice looking aviators with fun Ray Ban type reflective lenses that I've never been able to get as needed the prescription which resulted in boring glasses/lenses. All around great experience and now I want to buy more! My eye insurance doesn't have out of network coverage, but still worked out cheaper than using insurance! I was so excited to visit this store. Unfortunately my first experienced as a potential customer for this newly open location, is such a disappointment. I was greeted properly and well assisted by the sales associate. She was great she did everything right. I was about to purchase a pair of reading glasses, the pair that I picked was advertised for only $95. I was ready to pay, suddenly there was a price change. As it turned out they made a big mistake by putting the wrong price tag as $95 but the correct price is $145. The sales associate apologized, she even asked if they can honor the price since it was their mistake. She talked to one guy who was at the other counter, they had a quiet conversation. Then she came back saying sorry we cannot honor the price. We made a mistake with the label, they are changing it now with correct price. I said ouch! That's a bummer. You should honor the price because it's your mistake by putting the wrong price as advertised. The sales associate said yes I know, but I'm so sorry I already asked and told them about that. I didn't feel like arguing, I just walk away. It's not like I really need it that bad. I was just happy I found the style and color that I really like. Apparently they fell short on their end. They failed big time by honoring their own mistake. It shows incompetence. Not a good way to make a first impression specially for a newly open store and for a customer like me who was about to spend some money. Such a snob. This store is amazing! The glasses are quality, but their customer service is killing the game! I went in to find glasses for my friend who couldn't be there, and the staff were great at being patient with me. I was helped by this adorable person, i think her name was Sharron, maybe? She was hilarious and had great energy. Why can't more places understand that you need QUALITY people in customer service?! Overall, a great experience. You can see my ordering experience below. I ordered on 4/17, received on 4/25, so the speed of delivery was awesome. However, now that I have them at home, I am able to wear the actual glasses and actual prescription, and I see that I ordered a frame that slides down my nose a bit too much. The progressives work but I find that I have to tilt my head up a bit more than with my current glasses, which might be because the glasses are sliding down my nose? But I knew when I was trying on frames that I should go for a frame with smaller proportions and had originally chosen one for "small" faces, but then I found a cuter frame that was more for medium/large and ordered that. So this particular pair is not to my liking, BUT the entire experience was pretty pleasant and fun and I would probably try again. The glasses have a 30 day return policy, so this particular pair is going back.. All in all, this is a great concept and I am very happy there are new companies out there saving us money on our glasses!!! This is a review of my ordering experience, I have not yet received my glasses so I'll review my glasses when they arrive. I had already gone online and requested 5 frames to be sent, and honestly, all 5 were pretty cool, one looked the best. You send the 5 back (for free) and order one if you wish to do so. Went to the eye dr., got my prescription updated, and took it to the El Segundo store. Looked at the glasses and found one that I liked even more. I wear progressives, so for me, there's a risk that I won't like their progressives, but my last glasses cost over $600! These are $345 with the frame, the progressive lenses, and the blue coating. So there's a significant savings, plus, they have a 30 day guarantee. The optician came out and measured a few things and they took a photo of my prescription and took the pupil distance for my progressives. I felt as if they were very helpful and it was not difficult or a hassle, it was actually fun. I ordered on 4/17, they say I should have them by 5/1 or earlier. Pretty standard lead times. So we'll see how they perform once I have the glasses, but so far, hooray! The background as to why I decided to try Warby Parker is that there is one company dominating the insurance carriers and all of the eye glasses brands and lenses except for a very few, and they're dictating the crazy prices we pay. I sort of hit the roof when my glasses cost $600-700, that's just insane. I LOVED warby parker. I have about 3 frames from them. I seldom write negative reviews about ANY company. I'm not one to really say anything much but good. But this one has really got to be said - especially when it has to do with money. I purchased a set of frames, decided that I wanted to return it, and asked for a refund. Simple Days go by, my $175 isn't in my account still. Spoke to WP, and said that they already initiated the refund days ago. My bank, however, said that it should only take 24-48 hrs for me to see the refund after it's been processed. (Mind you, 3-4 days have passed already). At this point, I spoke to about 5 representatives from WP, who all told me DIFFERENT things about their return policies. Spoke to them on the phone, text, and via chat. I'm still waiting for my money - a week or so after. Avoid this specific store, they were everything but welcoming. Failed to provide "insight" on what frames looked best on you, etc. Barely had any energy interacting with the customers. I think they were trying to give off a "cool", "hipster", "laid back vibe" lmao. But cmon, be hipster after work Save your $95-$200 and check out websites like firmoo, zennioptical, eyebuydirect, JINS (@ del amo mall, arcadia, and sherman oaks). read more

Sharon was so sweet helping me choose many options without rushing me. She was attentive and assertive on my style choices. We choose 8 glasses two sets of different colors. She even popped out the lenses of the sunglasses so I have an idea of what they will Look like for prescription eyeglasses. We stopped in here around 6.30pm on a Friday to check out some new frames for my fiance. No one greeted us when we came in which was kind of weird since both young ladies were just standing at the counter doing nothing. We wandered around trying to figure out which frames were the men's and which were the women's as they weren't marked. We looked around and tried frames on for about 15 mins hoping someone would approach us to ask if we needed any help but no dice. Both girls were checking their phones but couldn't be bothered to help potential customers? Yikes... I definitely would not recommend this store if you're in the market for new glasses.
