If you like being treated with disdain, this is the place for you! I was told repeatedly to go to Lens Crafters while waiting, so skip the trouble and just go there. I showed up over an hour early, with intake form already complete. I was told no one was available to see me earlier but I was fine with waiting because truly my appointment wasn't for an hour. Walked around the mall for a bit, and came back 16 minutes early only to be told the person doing the exam took a late lunch and my appointment wouldn't be until 2:30. Fine but I asked about my husband's appointment, which was supposed to be at 3, only to be told at that moment that his might have to be cancelled. WTF. No notifications, no apologies. Don't bother with this place. They don't respect you or your time. read more

Came about an hour and a half early for my appointment and let the staff know, they said I would have to wait until my appointment time, which wasn't an issue. They suggested I go to LensCrafters instead of waiting. I said it wouldn't be a problem for me to come back at the proper time. Then came back about 20 minutes early and was told that the would be running half an hour behind and wouldn't likely be able to fit me in for my appointment, again suggesting I go to LensCrafters and pay to have my exam there and then come back for glasses. So yeah, come here if you want to be repeatedly told to go somewhere else and have the staff waste your time. read more

It's my first time ordering prescription glasses at J!NS. I came on a Saturday afternoon and tried some of their sample displays, until I found my preferred Wellington frame. To order your glasses onsite, you're prompted to scan the product's QR code and I opted for consultation with the staff on duty. After submitting my pre-order, I was added on the queue. Anthony called my name in less than 2 minutes and he was extremely helpful, professional and transparent. I carefully showed my signed prescription from my optometrist and he accurately added them to my order. He assisted me in choosing the correct lenses, so I opted for the Made in Japan coated lenses for an additional charge. I kindly asked Anthony for the estimated pick up date and he said my glasses would be ready within 2 weeks. I paid for my glasses and thanked him for his assistance. Two weeks later, I received a call from Michelle. She informed me that my glasses are ready for pick up. at the store. When I arrived at the store, Michelle kindly assisted me in the swift pick up process. She made sure that my glasses fit me well and thoroughly explained the warranty policy. I was surprised by the robust selections of glasses to try on as well as arrays of other services offered within the store. You can easily get the eye exam done without an appointment inside the store. How convenient!! The glasses of your choice can be created to take home from right within the store under 30 minutes. Just scan the QR code on the glasses stem label to begin the process. If you already have a glasses script on hand, it's an even faster process. The prices and cleanliness of the store was noteworthy. I really liked the Snoopy glasses collection. I want them in every variety! Jins is by far the best place to get glasses in the Los Angeles area. I was being a big back with my husband at the restaurant near by and my glasses had broke at dinner. I walked by and asked them if they could help me, and they gladly did. Alec was exceptional in explaining everything to me and I ended up leaving with a fixed pair of glasses and a brand new one. Beware. I purchased a pair of expensive progressive lenses here. After a few months the frame broke. They said they do not replace broken frames. I said I would purchase a new frame. They said it was discontinued. I asked them to fit the progressive lenses in a different frame. They said there are no other frames they will fit in. They offered me NO compensation. I spent nearly $400 dollars on frames and progressive lenses that cannot be used . I found this to be unacceptable. I called the general customer service number and they said the same thing . Sorry we can't do anything. I would never recommend or use this company again. Poor quality products and terrible customer service. read more

I had a really frustrating experience at the JINS Eyewear store at Del Amo Fashion Center. Before even coming into the store, I tried calling multiple times for help with switching my frames, but the staff kept hanging up the phone instead of answering my questions. It felt very unprofessional and like they didn't want to deal with customers over the phone. When I finally came into the store in person, the experience didn't get any better. I explained that I just needed to switch my frames, which should have been a quick fix. Instead, they immediately told us we had to leave and come back in an hour. It was frustrating because this whole situation could have easily been avoided if they had simply answered the phone earlier instead of hanging up multiple times. The way it was handled made it seem like the staff didn't want to help or didn't want to work. Customer service should be about helping people solve simple issues, not making things more difficult than they need to be. I expected much better service, especially from a store that sells prescription glasses. read more

JINS is changing the way I want to get my glasses from now on. I walked in today thinking I'd order my glasses and would have them delivered to me in a week or so. However, I was able to try on a ton of frames and ultimately pick the one I liked best. From there, I walked up to the self-service kiosk to scan the QR code on the frames and answer some questions. My name was called shortly after and I discussed frame and lens options with a staff member. Since I have a pretty high prescription, I didn't think they'd have my prescription in store--but they did! So in a short 30 minutes, my frames would be ready to take home with me. After a quick walk around the mall, I came back to the store and headed for the lockers. I scanned the QR code from my receipt, and one of the little doors popped open revealing my glasses in their nifty JINS black case. Prices are affordable as their basic lenses are included in the price on the tag. The only thing I wish is that they had is a wider range of prescriptions for the 1.74 index lenses. I had to choose between the basic 1.67 or their ultra thin lenses (1.76) which cost an additional $350-$450 (eek!). Whereas, if they had my prescription, I could have gotten the 1.74 index lenses without an additional cost. Aside from this, JINS really hits this out of the park. I was very impressed by how quick and easy the whole process was from start to finish. Also, as a low bridge frame wearer who often wore frames that were ill-fitting, I especially appreciate the many options for low bridge frames! read more

I typically avoid visiting this particular Jins location because the staff hasn't been very thorough or kind in the past. However, I needed a new pair of glasses and decided to take advantage of their Labor Day sale. Alec assisted me during my visit, and I was thoroughly impressed! His calm and professional demeanor stood out, and he answered all my questions with ease, never making me feel like a bother. I mentioned my current glasses being painful to wear/impossible to adjust. He took my glasses to the back and came back with a clean pair, tightened screws, and replaced nose pads! I have asked to get my glasses adjusted here MULTIPLE times, and I've never had this kind of treatment. I noticed Alec had blue light lenses in his own glasses, and after discussing the benefits, I decided to add the blue light invisible coating to my purchase. Originally, I was just here for a simple, affordable pair, but Alec's excellent customer service and product knowledge made me feel confident in upgrading. After finally picking a frame I then checked into their new system by scanning their QR codes on the frame! Marcos had great knowledge on the lenses that they offered and what worked with my prescription. Great place with a variety of selections. Originally I chose to come here because it offered getting your glasses within an hour or so however, due to my prescription, I was not able to get them right away. I have an astigmatism. I also had my eyes checked, and I must say I was a little skeptical at first about a remote optometrist however, it's the best exam I have ever gotten and I've even gone to doheny Eye Institute. I love how quick, easy, and simple the whole process is! I came on a weekday morning, so I had the whole store to myself to just browse and try on all the frames that caught my eye. Once you select the frame(s) you want, you scan a QR code that takes you to the website to purchase the frames. The store associate that helped me out was Alec, and he was so courteous and knowledgeable. I really appreciated his thorough explanation of the different types of lenses/upgrades available. After paying, you get a receipt with a QR code that you scan at their locker area to pick up your finished glasses. Forty minutes later, I had my new pair of glasses! There's many different frames to choose from with varying price points, but with the frames and lenses I picked, my total was $140 (which is honestly pretty affordable!) If you're looking for new glasses (especially if you want them same day) I can't recommend JINS enough! read more

My first experience with Jins was in Japan and every since then I'd always wished Jins would come to the US. And thankfully, they have, but I would say the structure has changed a bit and they now charge for the eye exams, where as in Japan the eye exam is included within the price of the glasses. Other than this, my experience here was great. They even had a promotion where I was able to get both of my older Jins glasses lenses replaced for free since I purchase two glasses from them(this was a promotion they have going on but I'm not certain how much longer it'll go on for). Dany(pick me! Inside joke ^_^), helped us out and she was awesome. Super helpful, patient, and went the extra mile for us. I'd definitely recommend Jins to anyone looking to get new affordable glasses, especially sunglasses with a prescription. My glasses were prescription with added on sunglass attachment.
