I hate wearing glasses. Truly. I just get them oily and have never had a comfortable pair. They…read morealways slip down my nose. So I primarily wear contacts. But, I truly needed a functional backup pair and started hunting around. I knew I'd be paying more for this pair since I've graduated now to progressive lenses. I didn't want to go back to Walmart or Costco or Target, because those glasses still cost a pretty penny and have never been a great fit. The last pair I got from Walmart a couple of years ago, no change in prescription, makes me woozy. Eyemagination had such great reviews here, I decided to check it out. And the instant I walked through the door, I was filled with confidence that this was the place. I was welcomed by Maureen and Stephen right away. After introductions and a nice chat, Eyemagination started to feel like an old-fashioned salon or barbershop, where you've been coming for years and it feels like family. I didn't realize what goes into a proper glasses fitting because, I guess I've never had one! You get your face measured. You get your dominant eye checked, spacing, all angles and nose bridge noted. They have gadgets. It's the closest thing you'll find to choosing the right wand from Ollivanders. I'm pretty sure my glasses chose me. The technicians are part artist, part clinician, part engineer and part designer. I was helped by Maureen, the lovely, twinkly-eyed, warm shop owner. Stephen also joined in, and was sharp, attentive, caring and impressive. The two make an excellent team and they found me a frame I would actually enjoy wearing. When I returned a week or so later to pick up the glasses and get a final fitting, both Maureen and another lovely lady whose name I am forgetting helped adjust things perfectly. Maureen really wants the glasses to fit and feel comfortable and watches you like a hawk to make sure you are truly happy with your selection. My prescription was challenging but she nailed it. My mom's sunglasses look fantastic and I'm sure her regular glasses will too when they're ready. The frame selection was super, even for the lower-priced options. Skip the zoo at Costco, Walmart or Target and swing over to this local business that has been knocking it out of the park for several decades. They are so warm and welcoming, you'll walk away wishing you needed a pair every year just to visit for the company and lovely conversation. Thank you fellow Yelpers! #ShopLocal There's plenty of room for power chairs / wheelchairs.

She kept me informed while she gathered information to exchange the broken glasses for an identical pair. She was also flexible with her schedule to facilitate the exchange. Came here last Thursday for a work event that I needed to pass out gift cards for. I walked in…read morethere with 20 $200 gift cards ($4,000) and passed them out to customers that attended the quick presentation in store and then could shop. I had clients and work partners present, and everything was great until after I passed out the gift cards. I was trying on glasses with my work partners, who had asked me if the gift cards expired. Jelena took it upon herself to interject into my conversation and let them know it doesn't expire, and that I was in the wrong for telling my customers that we did not have to use the gift cards that day. To be clear- I understand there is a commission aspect to the job, however we purchased a total of 30 $200 gift cards from the store leading up to the event, and I came with 20 so that I could disperse out the other 10 as incentives for my work partners. Jelena was extremely hostile and rude to me in front of my partners, asking me "how I would feel if someone said that to me." She continued on and was being extremely rude and unprofessional to me in a public setting. She ensured that everyone that overheard her would not be returning to that location, let alone buying glasses from her. Most people DID use the gift cards that day, and there is absolutely no reason why she should have berated me in the store when I am not the event organizer or said anything that should upset her. I'm not going to lie to my clients and partners and tell them that they have to use it that day, because they don't. They received the gift cards as an incentive for coming and as a thank you. She was extremely rude and I know for a fact I will never be returning to that location or purchasing a pair of sunglasses from her.
