I found the Moon Shadow website and decided to book a trip. We brought mother couple, so there were four of us, along with Captain Glen and his wife Seray for our 2.5 hour cruise. The Moon Shadow is a beautiful, well-maintained sailboat. Our hosts made us feel very welcome. Glen helped us carry the food and beverages we brought along from the gate of the marina to the dock and let us use the small refrigerator in the galley. I was invited to connect my phone to Moon Shadow's sound system by Bluetooth, so was able to play my own music for the whole cruise. We lucked out and had perfect weather- clear skies, sunshine, and a nice breeze to keep us moving. We got going pretty good for a while. Glen and Seray were nice people, friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting to talk to. Bottom line is all four of us had a great time and plan to make this an annual event!

A 3 hour tour was just right. Our son was excited to learn some sailing. The rest of us just relaxed to the sound of the wind and waves! To add to the great day, the sail starts and ends at the Deep Creek Restaurant on the Magothy River. To judge by the crowd, their Sunday Brunch is popular. We opted to take snacks on the sail and eat afterward on the patio. Everything was very good! Calamari was especially good. If you travel to Annapolis from west of DC through town, you will be happy to know the route is now fixed! The southwest freeway to 695 then to 295 north is open and marked! This is a really big deal! I'm a native, and this route has been broken all my life. In summary, a great day on the water! And an adventure to remember with cool pictures, no bruises, and good food!

The coordination was seamless, and everything ran smoothly all week long. They thoughtfully planned a fantastic itinerary that perfectly balanced time on the water with well-timed shore excursions, keeping the teens engaged, active, and excited each day. What truly stood out was how all of the captains approached the experience as educators as well as leaders. They didn't just sail the boats -- they invited the teens to become part of the crew. The students were actively involved in steering, navigating, understanding how the boat moves through the water, tying up at the dock, refueling, handling lines, and learning the mechanics behind it all. It was hands-on, immersive, and incredibly empowering for them. Watching the teens grow in confidence and capability over the course of the week was amazing. The captains were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about teaching.
