You can bring food and drinks on the boat though they do have a bar full of options to choose from if you want a beer or cocktails. No food options to purchase on the boat. Everyone was nice and my son even was able to take the wheel for a while. A positive was that we were able to jump on the boat with no reservation. There are 4 large booth tables and plenty of other folding chairs and tables to relax by. They have a bathroom on board the ship with its very own window. I'm not sure if it's normal but there was no music playing which I liked since I was able to have conversations with my family. Tom & Steve are the owners and very nice and welcoming.

This location below the Holtwood dam is spectacular. We went around the upper and lower bear islands, which were breathtaking. It was an opportunity to get up close and personal with nature. Being on the river, the green jungle, and blue sky and nature allowed me to reconnect with myself. All the while, getting exercise. Life's been crazy lately and I was able to just relax again. It was a hot day, so we found a sandy cove and went for a swim. The water was refreshing, and I enjoyed great conversation with some new friends. Further, Mark gave instruction to the new paddlers in the group. New paddlers kept right up with the more experienced paddlers, so don't be afraid to go if you don't have kayaking experience. He also offers historic knowledge of the area (canals, cabins on the island, water flow, etc). He's a wealth of knowledge. It was an awesome experience. Looking forward to the next trip. Upstairs, they had tall tables with a few metallic stools. So happy the room was air-conditioned. Serve yourself was near immediate. Bar and drinks were upstairs on the observation deck. Soft drinks and tea were included. The accommodations up there were tall tables and a few metallic stools To the food: The assorted greens salad was fresh with your choice of salad dressings. Then rolls with real butter, followed with spaghetti with meatballs and a pasta with shrimp and parmesan, and chicken parm cutlets. Potato salad and a caprese salad of sliced mozzarella and tomatoes topped with a balsamic dressing. There was enough for seconds. Close to the end of the cruise, they brought out some desserts that looked like magazine quality. Cheesecake, chocolate layered cake, carrot cake, and lemon bars. All were very rich, and nothing was left. The staff could not have been nicer and very efficient. It's a really great crew. There is plenty of free parking. One note, this is not a wheelchair accessible due to a series of steps.

My husband and I had a lovely sunset cruise on M/V Summer Breeze on a Saturday evening. We actually…read moreoriginally wanted an afternoon cruise, but by the time I went to actually book it, the time was sold out. So book early, however, the sunset cruise is definitely the way to go! I thought about how the cruise would have been minus the sunset, and it would have been ok; however, the sunset was gorgeous, so I highly recommend that time slot. The cost, I believe was $16 per person, and drinks are available on board (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The cruise length is 2 hours and goes up the Susquehanna River and then back down to the Susquehanna Inlet where the river meets the Bay. The captain was friendly and eager to talk about the high points of the sights along the river. Most parties were able to go without sharing a table (they are long tables), but my husband and I offered to share with another couple so they could also have access to the water views rather than sit in the interior. The pick up and drop off point is a short walk from the town center, but there is also a parking lot you can park in. Bathrooms are available in the parking lot as well as on the boat. I'd definitely recommend booking a cruise, especially the sunset cruise, if you are in Havre de Grace!

I would be back all the time... except at $44 a family of 4, it's not exactly a cheap outing. But it is worth it. The first part of it is the facade rebuilt on the front of a warehouse to make the place look like a firehouse. They also parked a gigantic firefighting boat out front - so it's pretty easy to know you're in the right place. Entering in, you're greeted by a sea of old firetrucks. The classic 60s styles, to one built out of a converted Model T, to horse drawn pumps from the 1800s. This place is so much bigger than I expected. At the very back is a great display dedicated to fire alarms. You can even pull one (its well labeled) and it lights up a light on an antique board that used to tell firemen where the fire was. To the right is the kids room. One wall is just cubbies with kid sized fire coats, fire boots and fire fighter hats. Tons of emergency response related toys are all over the place and a wooden fire truck. Then you realize there is an actual firetruck taking up one entire wall. You can climb on it, front and back, ring the bell, and even turn the front wheels with the steering wheel. If you have a kid... or just are one at heart.. you really do need to check this place out. If I lived in the area, we would be annual members.
