Two of the teens had never kayaked before, one is a regular, and the adults had only done it a handful of times. From the very beginning, the service was outstanding. Terilyn and her daughter were already at the site when we arrived -- everything was ready, organized, and set to go. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. Just as we were getting directions and going over what to expect, the sky started to look more and more threatening. Terilyn didn't want us to get caught in anything dangerous, so she gave us the option to wait or reschedule. We ended up waiting out the storm -- for about 90 minutes past our scheduled time -- going back and forth a bit to monitor the weather. Through it all, Terilyn and her daughter were incredibly patient, kind, flexible, and honestly, just fun to be around. They made the wait fly by and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Once we were finally able to launch, it was SO worth the wait. The river was beautiful, and the whole experience was peaceful and fun. Even the beginners in our group felt totally confident thanks to the instructions and guidance we received. We spent half the trip talking about which tour we wanted to book next! This experience made all of us want to become regular kayakers. I can't recommend Kayak LanCo enough. If you're thinking about trying it -- do it. You won't find better service, kinder people, or a more personalized experience anywhere else.

One lane road with pull off's to allow traffic to pass. All the way to the end is a turn around. Parking is just before this turn around. A small dock allows for kayaks and paddle boards to be put in the water, but the stairs down to the dock are not in good condition, so use caution There are several bike and hiking paths, but recent floods have closed some of the paths, so again, use care. It is interesting to see these canal Locks. So much commerce went up and down PA using canal's w/locks. To see one up close and personal, this is the spot to do it.

The owner was nice and provided great service by helping us onto the board and providing water and hand sanitizer before and after our activity. I chose the red trail as it was the longest at 4.1 miles and most difficult, but still a moderate hike. It had some rolling hills and one sharp incline, but not too bad. Keep in mind not all of it is tree covered, so about 1.25 miles of the 4 was very sunny, so it was getting a little hot. However it's beautiful and when i was there on a Friday morning it was relatively quiet.
