You can bring food and drinks on the boat though they do have a bar full of options to choose from if you want a beer or cocktails. No food options to purchase on the boat. Everyone was nice and my son even was able to take the wheel for a while. A positive was that we were able to jump on the boat with no reservation. There are 4 large booth tables and plenty of other folding chairs and tables to relax by. They have a bathroom on board the ship with its very own window. I'm not sure if it's normal but there was no music playing which I liked since I was able to have conversations with my family. Tom & Steve are the owners and very nice and welcoming.

Upstairs, they had tall tables with a few metallic stools. So happy the room was air-conditioned. Serve yourself was near immediate. Bar and drinks were upstairs on the observation deck. Soft drinks and tea were included. The accommodations up there were tall tables and a few metallic stools To the food: The assorted greens salad was fresh with your choice of salad dressings. Then rolls with real butter, followed with spaghetti with meatballs and a pasta with shrimp and parmesan, and chicken parm cutlets. Potato salad and a caprese salad of sliced mozzarella and tomatoes topped with a balsamic dressing. There was enough for seconds. Close to the end of the cruise, they brought out some desserts that looked like magazine quality. Cheesecake, chocolate layered cake, carrot cake, and lemon bars. All were very rich, and nothing was left. The staff could not have been nicer and very efficient. It's a really great crew. There is plenty of free parking. One note, this is not a wheelchair accessible due to a series of steps.

Problem is: unless you've devoted serious cash to owning and maintaining a boat, or you "have connections," your fantasies will remain as such. That's when American Sailing Tours comes in - from the price to the convenience to the experience - AST offers exactly what you're looking for. I found the company through Yelp (I mean...hello!), and based on the description, I figured an experience with American Sailing Tours was beyond my price point. Well, I was wrong. For around $40/person, AST provides a semi-private (up to 6 guests) sailing excursion around Baltimore's scenic Harbor. Depending on the time of day, they offer different sailing experiences (i.e. a Sunset Sail, a Wine & Cheese Sail, an Moonlight Sail, etc.) - and each tour lasts around 90 minutes, unless otherwise specified. I recently enjoyed the Baltimore Harbor Sail on a Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend. Captain Tom greeted us at the gate (as the confirmation email had detailed) - and after meeting the four other people whom were also scheduled to sail at that time, we walked to board the sailboat. Captain Tom and the other staff member (I'm terrible - I forgot his name!) were both welcoming and kind - and we felt safe and comfortable, immediately. As we began to sail around, they played relaxing music, and needless to say, the experience couldn't have been better. 90 minutes flew by while sailing in Baltimore, yet I'm so glad I had the chance to do so! Thanks to the affordable price, and the memorable experience - not only did I have a lovely time, but I will most certainly be back to sail again. If you want to unwind, and sailing appeals to you - I couldn't recommend American Sailing Tours more! P.S. Regardless of the "type" of Sail Tour, they always provide non-alcoholic beverages. Prices for things are average, considering its a cruise. My wife and I had been out and about earlier in the day, so I had brought plenty of water and Gatorade. The tour we took was $25 per person. Picking up the tickets I preordered was easy. With boarding, no one told us when it was time to board though we were sitting at the dock, but we saw a group going and went along with them. Seating on the boat included an upper deck to enjoy the air; my family preferred the lower deck which was booth style. We found a booth together easily. There were large windows to look outside, but the narration was prerecorded and kind of quiet. Occasionally a crew member would chime in. The narration was always pointing out things on the starboard side, so keep that in mind. The interior seemed kind of outdated overall and most of the other people on the tour were on the elderly side, so it might cater more towards that audience. Overall, this was an okay tour of the harbor. The price was fine for what it was, but I wouldn't personally choose to do this tour again. I know there are other options that might be better through the company, so only speaking from my experience with what I described.
