We took my family visiting from out of town on the harbor tour. My family members visiting have mobility issues after recent surgeries, so this was a low impact option for them. The tour we took was $25 per person. Picking up the tickets I preordered was easy. With boarding, no one told us when it was time to board though we were sitting at the dock, but we saw a group going and went along with them. Seating on the boat included an upper deck to enjoy the air; my family preferred the lower deck which was booth style. We found a booth together easily. There were large windows to look outside, but the narration was prerecorded and kind of quiet. Occasionally a crew member would chime in. The narration was always pointing out things on the starboard side, so keep that in mind. The interior seemed kind of outdated overall and most of the other people on the tour were on the elderly side, so it might cater more towards that audience. Overall, this was an okay tour of the harbor. The price was fine for what it was, but I wouldn't personally choose to do this tour again. I know there are other options that might be better through the company, so only speaking from my experience with what I described. read more

This was supposed to be a sunset cruise, and it barely was. The boat should have left an hour earlier. There really weren't any open areas to see the sunset, and the sun was already below the skyline when we were out on the water....The crew was great , but you get only 2 stars because, the sunset which was supposed to be the star of the show was really just a no show, and this was not because of the weather, it was because of the scheduling and the simple fact that where the boat traveled, there really was not an acceptable place to even view the sunset...... read more

Took the 4th of July Fireworks viewing tour on the Raven, which is supposed to be their more upscale boat. The boat did look nicer than the other option, but the on-board desserts felt like they were made by your Aunt Ruth, who really shouldn't be baking until she gets control of her alcoholism. And half of the clientele were loud and looked like they were going to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. No offense to Lynyrd Skynyrd - there's a time and place for everything, but this wasn't the time nor the place. And they continued to blast on loop their 80s hits soundtrack even during the fireworks - which was neither patriotic nor enjoyable. The captain and staff were all very kind and helpful, but the loud music and loud passengers really killed it for me. I wouldn't do this again. read more

My boyfriend and I took the City Lights cruise out of Baltimore one Saturday evening. Unlike many harbor cruises, this dispensed with narration about what we were viewing or any history, and the captain just played music. We chose seat upstairs, at the front of the boat to get the best view. Now, at 8:00, the scheduled time of the cruise, the sun had not yet set (that was closer to 8:30), but we still had a nice view of the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, and other landmarks. One of the crew members came around and took pictures of people's groups with their cameras, avoiding the whole, "we'll take a picture and you can buy an overpriced print" racket. The boat went down almost to the Baltimore Beltway bridge before turning around and heading back, so there was a great deal to see. It's nothing spectacular, but it is a nice way to spend a weekend evening. Just be careful getting on and off the boat and, if you go to the upper level, climbing and descending the stairs. (I went down facing the stairway, as it was more like a ladder.) read more

Underwhelming experience. Many cruise choices on the brochure were unavailable. When asked why, the sales girl (who was a high school student) said, "I couldn't even tell you." This was on a Saturday in September. So we took one of the only two available tours: 45 minute narrated tour along the inner harbor for $20 per person. It runs every hour. There was quite a lot of people boarding the small ship every hour. This is a popular pastime. Tip: sit outdoors, at the front & center of the seating area on the second floor of the ship. That way you'll get unobstructed views of the harbor. Now, to the disappointing part. The narrated part was pre-audio recorded and played to the ship guests. The sound was awful. We could barely hear what was said. Definitely not what I thought I'd be paying for. The staff members were talking really loudly right behind us (inside the ship), so their conversation was what we had to listen to during our time aboard. The facts about the harbor were not that interesting as well. Another bummer. Did I learn anything interesting? Maybe if a person was speaking to me life, I would've retained (or heard) some information. The next day, on Sunday, we return to see if we can get another tour (out of the two tours that was told was available, the 90 minute $30 per person tour of night skyline of the city). And guess what. Sunday is a rest day, so no such tours are offered! What a great tour company. read more

I surprised my wife with tickets on a special "Blue Angels" cruise, during Fleet Week here in Bmore. There are numerous Navy and military celebrations all week on the Inner Harbor, but the highlight is certainly airshows (on Saturday and Sunday) by the Navy precision team "The Blue Angels". We walked to the Inner Harbor on this gorgeous sunny day....temperature was a perfect 65 degrees. It is a short 10 minute walk from our place, taking us by Camden Yards (where the Orioles play) and several other Baltimore fun places to check out if in town. We checked in with the cruise line, and waited in line because we wanted to be on the upper deck for best visibility. It was a 3 hour cruise, that was worth every penny of the $57 dollars a ticket. To have the best seats in the house, on a ship...in the water watching an air show for three hours...I mean seriously! The departure time was 1305, and we were underway at that time. There is a snack bar, and of course a bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. There is a climate controlled seating area on the first level, as well as two bathrooms. (That is also where the bar is). Robin and I stayed mostly on the upper level.....as it was a gorgeous sunny day. It took about 20 minutes to get out to the perfect observation place on the water , and on the way we got to see the Navy's BRAND new destroyer, that was commissioned this afternoon. The U.S.S Zumwalt. It does not look like a typical Navy destroyer (see pictures). We got to see the Air Force , the Canadian Air Force, some older vintage propeller aircraft, and of course....The Blue Angels. The Captain (Joe) was funny and still gave interesting history on the area. This our first cruise with Watermark, but they are certainly worth the money for special events...... read more

We took a City Lights cruise this past weekend and were assured that all CDC and State of Maryland protocols in relation to COVID-19 would be adhered to. We watched while a crewmember sprayed the boat with a solution that was not wiped down or dried. Temperatures were taken before boarding, however, the rest of the cruise was in violation of established protocols. We were the third group to board and sat near the back, where we had to use napkins we had with us to dry the seats before sitting down. The seats were not marked to ensure social distancing as they are in many other places around the Inner Harbor. More than half the boat did not wear their masks during the cruise and the Watermark staff did not make a reminder announcement nor did crewmembers address the issue with guests that were in violation of the protocols. As a result, we were unable to enjoy the cruise because we were worried we would get sick the whole time. I completed the survey I received in the email and received the responses which I have uploaded below. The company seems to think that the customer is responsible for enforcing mask-wearing on THEIR cruises as opposed to their employees. We would not have taken the cruise had we known the company did not enforce the CDC and State of Maryland mask-wearing standards. I'll be reporting the violation and providing the emails from their employee to the Better Business Bureau as well as the local health agencies. Simply put, if you care about your health, try another company that does too. read more

We had an absolutely wonderful cruise aboard the Cabaret II. The staff were friendly and professional and everything was on time. My guests had a great evening on the Chesapeake Bay and Severn River. I would definitely recommend Watermark to anyone and will go with them again. read more

The cruise leaves Inner Harbor near the Science Center and the Visitor Center, goes straight out until you can see Dundalk, then turns around and comes back in. We came on this cruise/yacht as part of a Yelp Elite event. Once we were checked-in, we boarded the boat. The staff was very friendly and we were all welcomed onboard with a drink ticket. There's 2 bars on the boat - one on the main floor and one on the top floor. The food was provided by Water for Chocolate. The boat was very spacious and clean. One of the Captains came around to chat with the guests and even cleared the tables! The ride was smooth as it was not a very windy night. 2 hours went by quickly. I would definitely consider riding with Waterford Cruises again - especially on warm summer night! read more

I enjoy taking in a new city from its waterways and Baltimore is no exception. Watermark's 45-minute Inner Harbor cruise was just what I needed on a Saturday afternoon. What a delightful way to see Fort McHenry, Fells Point (where we later got drinks), the Domino Sugar refinery and the city skyline. The boat itself had an upstairs outside deck as well as seating downstairs/inside along with a snack bar. We were able to move around freely in order to change our view and take pictures. There was no personal tour guide, though, which is the main reason I deducted a star. The cruise was fun, but the prerecorded historical information was difficult to hear and was more of a distraction. If you go on the weekend, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking. We lucked out at a nearby lot but this was after driving around for awhile. There are also other attractions at the Finger Piers where we boarded our cruise and an easy way to spend an afternoon. read more

Crowds of people filed to board with no social distancing at all. We were originally told that each "family" or party would have certain areas in which to sit and would be socially distanced from all others. That was absolutely not the case. We were on the upper deck and had to tell several others who sat right next to us (family of 3) to move 6 ft away. There was NO monitoring and NO staff person advising guests to remain 6 ft apart. When there was no canned commentary, loud music was blaring. We were on the Thomas Lighthouse cruise - after leaving the harbor, not much to see until the lighthouse which was interesting and lovely. We took the 40 minute tour of the harbor and the naval academy. 15 minutes in a huge thunderstorm came and we had to return to the dock. The crew was great - they had us stay on the boat until it was safe to leave (it was down pouring). I was upset that our boat tour was about to be cut short, especially since we only spent 1 night in Annapolis. But, the crew offered to bring us back out on the full tour when the storm passed, and to those who didn't want to or couldn't stay were refunded. There was also a bar and bathrooms on board. For the price I thought that this was a wonderful harbor cruise. At $18 a person with no hidden fees it was almost one third the cost of the sea dog which we were first looking into. The watermark had a nice crew and there was a bar that offered a couple local craft beers and snacks. They offer cruises on the hour and TGIF Friday cruise that is $25 for 90 minutes - quite a steal. You can choose to sit outside or inside depending on your preference. It is located right next to the Baltimore Information Center which was a convenient place to wait for the cruise and think about other things that you want to do when you are in town. We booked tickets for the 3 p.m. but arrived around 3:05. We spoke to a nice lad who said we could take any tour that day. So, we caught the 4 p.m. tour. The price was very reasonable and the sightseeing part was great. The prices for food and drinks onboard was not unreasonable (shocking)! A member of the crew came by and touch pictures of us with our camera. I had looked at a competitors boat and they charged to take a picture for you. The views were great! I was visiting my brother in Baltimore for the weekend while he was doing intensive treatment at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. My brother is a quadriplegic and uses a motorized wheelchair. I had made a reservation online for 45 minutes and we went to the dock the day before to make sure he would be able to get on the boat and were greeted by Gene. Not only was he extremely friendly but also helpful; he let us go down to the dock to look at the boat and helped us determine that the 45 min cruise boat was not going to work. He let us get on the 90 min cruise boat to make sure my brother would be able to get on. When we arrived the next day, Gene was there to greet us and didn't charge us for the more expensive ride since we weren't able to get onto the other boat. If we're every back in Baltimore again, I would definitely take this cruise a 2nd time! read more

Absolutely horrifying experience, we arrived to check in at 9:45 and we were informed that the winds were too high to depart the ships so bus transportation would be provided to St. Michaels. Continental breakfast and bar was open so everyone was in high spirits and made their way to bus pick up. That was until yellow school busses arrived to transport us the 1 hour and 15 minute trip. In my opinion, I'd take a boat on choppy waters in high winds over a bus on the bay bridge, but that's just me. Nevertheless we were still going and the boats will take us home. An inconvenience? Yes, but not the end of the world. Arrived at the wine fest (which was an awesome experience) we were informed on arrival procedure and time for boarding the boat on the way home. We arrived at 4:30 to board boats and met by a fleet of busses. At this point we inquired to one of the bus company worker about what was happening. The man from the bus company said that they had been called FRIDAY night by watermark, knowing that the winds were too high and the boats would never depart, and were asked to arrange transport to St Michaels and to be on standby for the trip back. No watermark employee was to be found!! WE WERE NEVER INFORMED OF A CHANCE THERE WAS NO BOAT TRIP BACK, if we had been we surely would've just driven to SM on our own and forgone the watermark experience. When we boarded the bus at our posted time we were then held hostage on our bus (as the transportation company contracted out could not let us leave for safety reasons) until 5:07 and promised sandwiches and water which were never distributed because everyone was so furious we begged our bus driver to just get us home as we drove past the watermark employee, who had promised us a smooth trip back that morning, standing dejected next to a truck of sandwich boxes and water. As we sat there waiting to depart, radio calls came through the bus of passengers sick on other buses unable to leave and it was evident the pure disorganization of the company and the situation. There was no bar, as promised, no bathroom, as promised, no light snack and non alcoholic beverage, as promised. Watermark should be ashamed of their handling of a this weather event, their website policy states that cruises will be canceled in the event of a weather emergency. No option for cancellation and refund was ever offered. It is my opinion that when the winds were forecasted as high as they were, guests should've been informed Friday night (when busses were dispatched) and given the option for a bus trip or a full or partial refund. Instead, they trapped us and gave us no choice. They put the bus company in a terrible position as the bearers of bad news and their hands tied, trying to do what's best for the passengers while also complying with watermarks requests. As of now, no news has been given regarding refunds, except for the $40 a ticket promised for the botched morning trip. Full refunds should be awarded to all Saturday passengers as this nightmare could've easily been avoided if not for Watermarks total lack of professionalism and transparency during this situation. As of now, they are still selling tickets for Sunday trips!!! DO NOT BUY unless you like yellow school buses and unprofessional companies. For the same money you can buy a two day ticket and get a moderate airbnb in St. Michaels. I will never be using anything watermark again and I will warn all my family and friends about their unprofessional practices. read more

We took the hour-long sunset cruise that departed at 7pm on Saturday night. As Baltimore residents this is something we might not do unless we had visitors in town, but it was so fun! They do play music and it might not be for everyone, but we enjoyed it. I'm not sure how many people they allow on board, but it was not too crowded and there was a seat for everyone. It was a great to see the city at night from that vantage point and a fun thing to do on a nice summer evening. We bought tickets ahead of time but you could just as easily walk up and buy tickets at the same price. They had a lovely woman named Aimee providing customer service- they are smart to have someone with such a sparkly personality in that role. It was all part of the fun experience. read more

Though I'm a lifelong resident of the area, I'd never taken a cruise on any of the boats that tour Annapolis or the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. It seemed like such a touristy thing to do and I wasn't very interested. It had been a long time since I'd even been on a boat in the harbor and had forgotten how cool it is to see a city from the water. We took a Watermark cruise this weekend as part of the Star Spangled celebrations and got to see the Blue Angels show over the city. The crew were really helpful and knowledgeable about the areas and buildings we passed along the way and when the start of the Blue Angels show was delayed for rain and low cloud cover, the captain kept us up to date on revised start times. Even though the cruise was sold out, there was plenty of room aboard the boat with tables and chairs for everyone to have a seat. Bathrooms were very clean and warm on a chilly, rainy day. My only suggestion would have been for emails to have been more clear about what food was going to be available on the ride. For a 4+ hour cruise, it would have been nice to have something more substantial than pretzels and cookies for sale (which they eventually sold out of) for those who were rushing to get on board the boat on a very busy weekend in the city. Overall, though - it was a great experience and prompted me to ask about other cruises out of Annapolis - which I absolutely plan to do! read more
