I love this place. The best time to go is when it's extremely hot. It's so relaxing, kid-friendly…read moreand safe. You can take your time and enjoy nature. We typically canoe over rafting. This will not disappoint.

First of all this place offers tubing, kayaking and Canoe (probably would not suggest it, unless it…read moreis big wide open lake like Marsh Creek). Normally we would go to Marsh Creek Watersports, since they have great staff and wide areas for most water sports. We came here on a Saturday for Kayaking, which was probably a mistake. Should have came here on a weekday, when it is less crowded. The staffs here are friendly, there's just not enough of them (Will explain later). When you first walk towards the check in desk, you will have to wait in line to sign in even if you already purchased the ticket online (The wait for us was approximately 20 minutes outside). After you checked in you go get your life jacket, there is another wait for the bus that will take you to your destination, depending if you picked Kayak/Canoe or Tubing, and if you picked 1 or 2 hours. Our wait for the bus was approximately 30-40 minutes, which is fine we expected it from reading some of the reviews. They will give you a number card to tell you which bus you will be boarding via the intercom. The buses have seen better days, but it gets the jobs done that's all it matters. The bus ride for us was 10-15 minutes tops. After you arrive at your destination, you pretty much on your own, apart from the quick safety tip briefing at the beginning. We carried our kayaks to the dock and just went on our way. Beware, depending date/time at times some parts of the river will have very shallow water, I saw a few people getting stuck, we had little to no trouble getting out. But we saw some people struggling to get their kayak out of the water, because it is way too heavy from all the water that got into the kayak. This is where the experience can be sour for some people. There's almost no staff stationed at certain part of the river to assist the customers, apart from one where they tell you to GO RIGHT at the flag (where most people tipped over). There is also way too much tubing traffic for anyone with Kayak or canoe to enjoy the water, as some people will bunch up in groups and you had to maneuver around them on high flowing water so you don't run into them. For inexperience kayakers it might be a little tricky, as there's very little room at certain parts. When you finished your journey there is a little tiny dock that some people have apparently missed and gone all the way down Delaware river and staff members needed to pick them up, as there's no flags or sign to tell you this is the end. At the same time, the water in front of the dock is so deep, you are almost guaranteed to get wet. I was lucky enough to get a staff member to help carry me up so I don't get my phone wet. In conclusion, If you go on a weekday or days when it is less crowded, you will have a much better experience. Also if you don't want to get your phone wet or submerged in water, do not bring your phone at all or bring a waterproof casing if you want some pictures, as the scenery is quite nice. Overall it was pretty good experience for me, but there's better options elsewhere if you want just enjoy kayaking experience for the price you pay.

We were told about a $19 parking fee at check-in but it was waived, possibly in response to all the comments here about parking. Wouldn't have known about it otherwise but paying $19 for a spot in a parking lot would be insane. How else am I supposed to get here? The food was mediocre and overpriced: but no surprises there. It's an amusement park. We made sure to eat off-site at the end of the day and would do so again. Lunch is unavoidable though. Wasn't overly crowded (during spring break) but still busy and loud. The temperature was a little cold inside and at one point or another both of the kids were literally shivering from being wet. Definitely some colder and warmer pockets of air. The water itself was pretty warm overall. No problems with finding a set of chairs for the day. The locker rental is expensive but very easy to use and probably worthwhile. Bathrooms were really clean. Overall had a great time, the kids loved it, and were thoroughly exhausted by the end of the day. We look forward to coming back soon.

The Bad: Bring your earplugs and your patience. We expected noise and kids running around hallways,…read moreetc. -- it's a big, overstimulating water park that caters to families -- but we might as well be sharing a room with the people next door. For what this hotel costs you would think they could have invested in some insulation between the rooms to keep the noise down. Quiet hours don't start and are not enforced until 11pm, so if you plan on turning in earlier than that you'll need a plan, especially if you're a light sleeper. The bed was the worst I've ever slept on at a hotel. The Meh - There are some free activities and some definitely not-free ones. It's a good idea to try to figure out what you think you might want to do (and how often - you pay for each round of mini-golf, etc) and then decide if you want to buy an unlimited package. We opted to just do the things we wanted once, and it worked fine. We didn't eat on-site besides Dunkin (ordered takeout from a local restaurant) but the food looked like standard amusement park fare and was priced that way too. The showers and bathrooms in the water park were relatively clean. It was busy and hard to find a seat at the pool. We never got to do the lazy river. While the line was only 10-12 people deep, the attraction was full, and you had to wait until someone gave up a tube to get a turn, and there was no attendant to assist. Check-in was at 4pm, and we got the text that our room was ready at 3:54. Free WiFi but pay to park. The Good: The staff were kind and helpful, and my son had a blast! He loved the wave pool and playing water basketball with other kids. We liked the wristbands that operated the room doors and could be used at the shops. Make sure you get your free wolf ears! We didn't know about this until I asked a staff member where to buy a set for my son and they told me everyone in the party gets them. Overall a solid 7/10. Glad we came and my son definitely enjoyed it, but one night was enough for my husband and I.
