Absolutely amazing! First off wanna say thank you to the employees! Family of 5 came and one of us is handicap. They were so accommodating. My son is 14 and uses a walker for his Cp. they let me drive closer for drop off and they didn't make him feel left out. Can't wait to come bk. The wait was worth it.

I had wonderful time at Sickman's Mill. They were open on Memorial Day! A bunch of friends & I went there to grab drinks & food. They 100% didn't know I was a food critic! It was a holiday they probably didn't expect me though I'd take the day off lol. I got the pizza & wings. The pizza was very tasty! $5 for a slice is pretty bonkers though. The wings were the biggest let down ever! I totally regret spending my money on them almost asked for a refund lol. They're menu consisted of pizza & wings... I'd go here for the drinks! Sadly didn't tube here :\

CASH ONLY !!!!!! Jimmys juice is delicious, the food is just ok though. The tubes are nice and full (plus size friendly). There's a large tent with tables and chairs, bar area, and u can chill in the water with a chair. It took us about 1.5 hours to get down the water. There is steps to get in and out and a bus back to take you and ur tubes. It costs $25 per trip down the water. It does get very busy. Go early.

The best vibes. Very dog friendly and casual. Excellent local beer selection and of course Jimmy juice. Excited to see what food they add.

    Yes that's a baby deer

Absolutely love this place Tubes are enclosed; drifting was good, a few areas were "wavy" but definitely not scary. Jimmy's juice was great to enjoy while floating along

At the start: "we have wet butts!!!"

Had a fantastic lazy river run with the family, so much fun. The pizza hit the spot at the end with a nice cold beer.

This house was supper clean and neat. The entire house is upgrade. The decor bright yet warn country home. Internet system is solid and fast. All smart flat TV interconnected with five zone stereo systems throughout the house. We were impressed with how clean everything was, the diligence, and attention to detail of workmanship. The house has been totally upgraded with quality products and quality work, ceiling to floors. Lighting in this house state of the art both inside and outside. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances. It had everything we could think of including two refrigerators, gas top cooking and every item a top chef could thing of needing. Windows that looked directly out on to the Susquehanna River House with its private dock. Two of the four bedrooms has their own ensuites. The Master Bedroom on the main floor really big with a river view which is magnificent, plus a large three head shower big for two people at a time. All linens towels etc are highest quality plush and provided. a view of the water which was magnificent. The air-conditioning is zones in the different rooms give the ability for all the have comfort to their choosing. Absolutely no negatives in this house. I did not expect the internet to be good in such a remote area; but, to my surprise it worked fine throughout the whole property. Lighting in this house is beyond expectation. You have to see it. The porch on the house is outstanding with tables chairs, rockers, a complete wet bar and the perfect view of the river The attention to detain in this house say Quality Quality, and Quality! John King the manager (maybe the owner) brought firewood for the fire pit and had candy in the table setting for us when we arrived (John King at john.creeksidestructures@gmail.com). If you trailer a boat in, the community boat ramp is just two blocks away and then you can keep it at the dock at the house. Walt Okon, Springfield, Virginia.

Fabulous hosts, warm inviting property, tons of history, plenty of space! Massage chairs downstairs Coal stove worked well, house was cozy. Linens in the house were very nice, water was nice and hot for the shower. The seasons at this place probably provide a variety of different experiences, we visited in December and the house was appropriately decorated for Christmas, adorable. There were fresh eggs, coffee, shoo-fly pie, and local bread on the table for our arrival. There is a very large table downstairs that would be perfect for a large family/friend dinner. You must check this place out!!! So great...

It has everything you…read moreneed, 2 bedrooms (give or take), a nice sized kitchen, a living room and a beautiful bathroom on the second floor. It's tough to find, as the roads don't really take you where the gps is directing. The only way I found it, and I knew the surrounding areas halfway decently, was by going to the owner's home and asking for a precise location. But once you're there, it's breathtaking. The area is a dead zone for cellphone coverage, so put your mind toward the vacation and jettison that phone/internet addiction for awhile. In fact, the place further helps you with that by not providing a television. But they do have a CD player, but if you want good music, you'll have to bring your own. The music provided absolutely sucks. BTW, it's all the way Amish, run by the Amish, so if you have to work on their time. For instance, while trying to book the place, I had to wait a day or so for the curator to check the messages and get back to me because they keep the phone in the barn - not allowed to have technology in the homes. Also, if you're just trying to bring your gal/guy on a trip, you might not wanna mention that you're not married because they like things as quoted from their website: "Our dream for The Garden Time Cottage is more then a vacation rental. We dream of it being a couples getaway where married couples can spend time together strengthening their marriage and nurturing their relationship." Again, it's Amish country. You're gonna run into that. Nearby to this residence lives the dual management team, so if you ever need anything, just pop over to their house. They're very nice, but strict about NO FEEDING THE ANIMALS that live onsite. There are horses, dogs and cats - if I remember correctly. Don't feed them! All in all, it's a fantastic place and beautiful country. You just have to respect and tolerate the ways of the Amish while you're there. But more importantly, celebrate their cultural differences and learn a few things!
