Been going here since I was a kid and it has always been a great time. People on the river do get loud at times. The river is very shallow at points and you do tend to get stuck on the rocks. No outside food is permitted on the property so its either buy food at their bar or leave. read more

The river ride was relaxing but super fast and way overpriced. The tubes are so far from the river. With multiple young kids it was difficult to carry it all. I wished they had the tubes right by the staircase so you could just grab and go. read more

Absolutely amazing! First off wanna say thank you to the employees! Family of 5 came and one of us is handicap. They were so accommodating. My son is 14 and uses a walker for his Cp. they let me drive closer for drop off and they didn't make him feel left out. Can't wait to come bk. The wait was worth it. read more

I had wonderful time at Sickman's Mill. They were open on Memorial Day! A bunch of friends & I went there to grab drinks & food. They 100% didn't know I was a food critic! It was a holiday they probably didn't expect me though I'd take the day off lol. I got the pizza & wings. The pizza was very tasty! $5 for a slice is pretty bonkers though. The wings were the biggest let down ever! I totally regret spending my money on them almost asked for a refund lol. They're menu consisted of pizza & wings... I'd go here for the drinks! CASH ONLY !!!!!! Jimmys juice is delicious, the food is just ok though. The tubes are nice and full (plus size friendly).There's a large tent with tables and chairs, bar area, and u can chill in the water with a chair. It took us about 1.5 hours to get down the water. There is steps to get in and out and a bus back to take you and ur tubes. It costs $25 per trip down the water. It does get very busy. Go early. read more

I've traveled the East Coast and Canada this summer from the Route de Vin, to Outer Banks to Gaitlinburg TN. It was a wonderful summer and people were met along the way we're awesome. We headed up to Sickmans Mill for a last summer adventure and encountered multiple rude staff as we tried to negotiate parking to finding the ATM. These staff are the face of the business and they were just rude. Also just cash for all purchases from near to food to tubes. Staff says this was on the website but I didn't see it. We'll head to the pool but Sickmans Mill needs to work on their customer service! read more

IN SHORT: I brought my family of seven (kids ages 4-15) AND my extended family (their children ages 2 and 5) tubing at Sickman's and let me tell you what, this was the best thing we could've done for our children coming out of a year of COVID drama. For those wanting a quick review on if this is a great place to bring your kids: YES! In our family we are ages 2-15 and the grownups are whatever... Do understand this is not a lazy river but tubing in a creek with the most amazing nature display as you go. If you aren't cozy with your children experiencing travel through natural waterways, this won't be for you. However, for us, it was perfect. We felt this was exciting and lively as well as peaceful to the benefit from the oldest in our family to the youngest. For those wanting an overall review on if this was a good use of money: YES! We spent 5 hours of our day there today after planning to only spend 2. We couldn't leave the exciting, laid back, back-yard-hangs element that came to us after the float. Drinks at Jimmy's, really nice yard games and delicious food AND THEN friends we haven't seen in a year just peppered in unexpectedly. This experience was a heart-filler! For those wanting a poetic review, because why not: After a year of loss, ups and downs and living solely in our own sphere, we treaded quite lightly toward our first summer activity as a family today. We weren't unwise to choose Sickman's Mill as our first outing! All seven of us in our tubes floated under a tree canopy, feet in the cool water, hands touching rocks and branches while we were forced to take in the benefits of nature as a family with no phones and sat in silence that was only interrupted by the sounds of birds and the occasional laughter of neighboring tubers. The children, like the adults in our family, have been starved of the elements and filled with screen activity and separation for over a year. To share the rush of water over rocks, the blue dragonflies on logs in the creek and the feeling of current under all of us in our own tubes was a gift not just to the children but to the parents too. I've rather powerlessly seen my children move through dashed expectations for a year. I know what that's like to experience myself and how it leaves me. I also know how the natural elements can restore a weary heart AND... like water in the desert... Today my husband and I sat in tubes on the river and watched our children's tanks fill up to the top as they took in each exciting rush through rapids, push off of muddy banks when they got stuck and then the peace in their face when the current kept us close and the creek was still with us. UGH! The contrast!! I saw them frustrated with screens with no relief until last month. Today, I saw them respond to what the creek gave them and the joy we came out of it with, I swear is enough tank-filler for another year of unknowns. read more

A big group of friends and I went to Lancaster just to check this place out. Worth every minute of the trip! It's got everything you could ask for. All 4 elements are present, a kitchen, a bar, games, live entertainment, games for the kids, space to run the dogs, and of course TUBING!! Seriously felt like we were in our own little world. Will absolutely be visiting the area more often thanks to this place. read more

we called before going and we're told tubing was appropriate for 5 a year old. Drove 90 mins to be told the 5 yr old couldn't go because the water level had risen during our 90 minute drive. Staff said we could "hang out" and see if the water level lowered. I wont be going back there, wasted half a day traveling for no reason and met by rude staff upon arrival. read more

This is the second time that we (The Maven Club) have had an event at Sickman's Mill. Not only did we jump in the creek and tube down the creek (a little over an hour), but then we were able to use some of their creek-side tables to have a picnic. What can I say, the concept is simple, they hand over a tube and you get in the creek and enjoy it. At the end, they pick you up and run you back to the beginning. If you decide that you want to go a second time, they usually will offer you a deal. This event is good for adults and kids (although make sure they can hold their own in a tube). It is good clean wholesome fun. If you sink down deep in your tube, remember to lift yourself up a little bit here and there because some of the creek is a little low in some spots.. or the rocks are a little high. If you take a group, make sure you ask about group rates. This is a great event for friends and family, clubs, church groups etc. It is really safe and very refreshing. Great place river tubing with family; 40 minute drive from Gap, PA. My husband and I took our grandkids there, they are 13,10 and 5 yo.Our 5 yo grandson cried going through the mild water ripples. He was kneeling down inside the tube and holding onto the handles, while his tube was tethered to mine. He said he was afraid and his knees were hitting the rocks in the water. My granddaughters loved it and so did we. Would recommend for anyone wanting a true lazy river. Wear water shoes. Lunch can be bought there which is okay, pizza or grinder choice. Chicken & fries food truck - delicious, $10 meal Bathrooms - no lines Friendly staff Planning bring group of our friends back in August FYI - no reservations, 1st come 1st serve Check people vin up till 5. We had late start. Didn't get there till 4. Tubes heavy duty well made - tubes hit rocks, got stuck on rocks, lift my butt & shook myself free. Some people drinking. No one drink. Kids. Route in water was lovely, manicured, no lots broken branches, gunk floating in water, sticks, etc. Private properties asking banks lovely. I wasn't scared go down backwards not see what's coming when tube spun around. Other rafters friendly, hang with other groups if got separated. Next time will definitely tie tubes together with rope or bungee cords so don't have work about getting separated & catching up. Have to say better than our cedar water in pine barons & pa/de water gap places I've gone to in past. Can't wait bring NJ friends back in August. read more

A summer doesn't feel right until I've floated at Sickman's Mill. $10 gives you a large, sturdy tube that you launch into the water and meander down the river for about an hour. The conditions depend greatly on rain fall, but at its lowest the river still produces a few areas of mild rapids. The staff is friendly and I've never waited long to sign the waiver or receive a tube. The price is well worth the bus ride provided by a staff member back to the launching area; however, my wait for the bus has varied depending on the crowdedness of the day. We had a fantastic wedding a few weeks ago at Sickman's Mill. Absolutely fantastic. The property is in pristine condition. The owners are actually on the property ensuring the success of your function. The husband and wife team treat you like family. The creek that runs through the property is really pretty and cool to watch. I was talking to the wife that owns Sickman's and she was telling me that they even have corporate events there. Hands down, my group's favorite part of Pennsylvania! For only $10 they supply you with a tube. From there, you hop in the tube and begin your float down the river. Truly a relaxing and unique experience. They pick you up at the end of the creek and bring you back to the entrance where you can grab lunch (or eat your own; they have picnic tables). pros: daily river info on the web, safe for all ages, fun cons: you do not want to go at low water i went with my two sisters, over sixty and overweight and inactive. all you have to do is sit in the tube and float. water level is crucial. if too low you get stuck. lots of people at times but you only have to be two minutes away from people to enjoy the solitude. not a single house along the river. we had no bugs and the water was very clean. takes about an hour, with good flow this inexpensive and fun for all ages the couple who run the mill are friendly and competent. a marvelous service. read more

We've been living 15 minutes from here for 10 years and today was our first visit! We kept asking ourselves why???? From other posts there seems to be a new owner. If so they are doing a great job. Everyone it helpful. Site is great for a picnic before or after. The rafting is just plain fun!! 60-90 minutes of floating, laughing and talking. We were all adults but I would be comfortable bringing kids as young as 8. We will be back again this summer. Also - since today was Fathers Day - dads did not pay. read more

Tubing down the creek is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. This is a pretty straightforward operation - pay your money, they give you a tube and pick you up an hour or so later. The water has been low both times we've been there so be prepared to scoot yourself off the rocks. A great multi-generation activity. read more

I sadly didn't get to tube but my friend just got married here and it was AMAZING!! The place is GORGEOUS and the staff is FANTASTIC!! We got to stay in the cabin for a few nights which is breathtaking and sleeps a lot very comfortably. I only hope I can come back and spend some time here! read more
