My family and I were in the Philly area and decided to check out Dutch Wonderland. PRO TIP: buy your tickets online! Kids 2 and under are free, but everyone older needs a ticket. I believe it's $39 during peek season, and $29 starting the middle of September because they shut down the water rides. If you were to buy tickets at Dutch Wonderland they charge $75! They do tack on a $3/ticket processing fee for online tickets but it's better than paying full price. You also have to pay $20-25 for parking.". We came here on a Sunday in the middle of September and we didn't have to wait in any lines, which was amazing! We really liked the Kingdom coaster, which is the biggest coaster there. Not too many drops but very bumpy (in a fun way). There was also a great selection for younger kids, which was great! The staff were friendly and nice and the whole place had an overall wholesome feel.

This is a great all-ages park and perfect for kids under 10. I took my 3 year old and he had a blast! Almost all of their rides are for all-ages and have minimal height requirements, so no one in your party has to be left out. Their food offerings are obviously theme park style overpriced, but what can you expect? We went for their "Happy Hauntings" event and felt like they decorated the park quite nicely. However, it was incredibly crowded so the wait times for most rides were very long. I get the feeling that Halloween is one of their busiest times, so i would suggest trying another time of year if crowds concern you. Their website says parking costs extra, but for some reason we were able to park for free. Change in policy? Luck? Miscommunication? I'm not sure. Take my experience with a grain of salt. This is a once or twice a year theme park excursion but I did enjoy it. It's great if you've got littles.

I took my nephew here for the day. It was so cute and everything was perfect for him to enjoy independently! He is 2 and half for reference. It really feels magical for the kids, he had such a great time. He enjoyed the rides and had so many to pick from, unlike other parks that have a small children section. It felt like a wonderland for him. He hasn't stopped asking to watch and rewatch all the videos of him riding the rides.

This is a cute amusement park. Coming here felt super low key after coming off a Disney trip, and this was a great thing. There are plenty of fun rides for kids of different ages. My 3 year old is a bit scared of rides, but still had enjoyed some of the more low key attractions like the spinning tea cups and the train ride. We visited on a super hot day, and the highlight of the trip was Duke's Lagoon. This is a huge outdoor water play / splash pad area. It was way bigger than I expected, and my daughters had a blast splashing around and cooling off. Food options are meh, but as expected at an amusement park. Of course ice cream and all of the sweet treats are abundant, but for savory I'd say to pack a sandwich or something. Parking and check-in is easy and you can be in and out in a few hours no problem. Definitely a worthwhile thing to do if you are visiting Lancaster with littles.

What a wonderful amusement park! I have known about the park for many years but never visited. We decided to take our granddaughters (ages 4 & 2) to the park this past Sunday and we had a great time. We bought the tickets online along with parking pass. Go to the park right before opening (10am). no lines and walked right in. The rights were perfect for them. No lines on any rides. We did 95% of the rides that were fitting for them by 1:30. then went over to the waterpark. unfortunately it started to rain and they were getting cold and tired so we left just after 2. again we did just about everything they wanted to go on and saw a couple of shows high recommend the park to families with young kids

We had a great time in the park Labor Day weekend on Sunday. We got in 30 minutes early since we stayed at the CN hotel which was a great perk. Protip we paid for Groupon addmission and still got in early and saved some money as long as you have the CN hotel band. The park was clean and friendly staff. Easy 30ish dollar parking. Ride selection was good but wish they had more for smaller toddlers. Our 2yo couldn't ride much because she's so tiny. Our 6 year old had a blast. Loved that she could ride the bigger coasters with her dad. Wasn't too busy and lines weren't terrible. Wish we had seen Duke or characters walking around. Merchandise gift shop and bathrooms all clean and well kept. Would love to return again.

This place feels like stepping back into the renaissance era plus it reminds me of dorney! Rides were fun and the kids had a blast. The pineapple dole whipped was delicious and refreshing with it being so hot! Highly recommend this place!

I was pleasantly surprised by the number of family rides are available. It definitely should be considered a family park rather than a kids park. The Monorail provides great views of the park and parking lot and the Sky Ride goes through the center of the park. Kingdom Coaster is more intense than it looks. Gondola Cruise takes you on a relaxing ride through Exhibition Island while Dragon's Lair takes you around the lake and the lair. The Wonder House gives the illusion you're going upside down, definitely a unique experience. Prehistoric Path is definitely for kids.

Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park 2249 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster, PA 17602 So I'm not gonna lie I wasn't sure what to think when my wife said let's go to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA. Doesn't really seem like there's anything there as a quick roadtrip destination, but the fact that this amusement park is geared towards 12 and under and we needed some long overdue family fun we decided to hit the road. Once we arrived, the checking process was super easy because we bought our tickets online. People that were purchasing tickets on site were waiting forever in line . Shout out to my wife for making the arrangements online. We got in and began riding all the kid friendly rides we could fit. First we went on a boat ride and had to identify different characters along the way. We rode the skylift across the park which was relaxing. Once we got off the skylift we went to a BBQ stand to eat and unfortunately that was the only bad part about the park. The burgers weren't real ground beef, they didn't have any of their sides like, and the smoked sausage wasn't very good either. They also ran out of drinks so we had to get kiddie cups of water. After the dissster that was lunch we allowed the girls to ride a bunch of rides that parents couldn't ride with them on. We watched a water show with an evil sorcerer, a king who's princess daughter needed to be saved by the prince that was turned into a frog by the sorcerer because he wanted to marry the princess himself. We were able to finish off the park with a couple of family rides and rollercoasters as well as taking the girls to the gift shop and grabbing some souvenirs. If we ever go again we'll stick to your traditional amusement park food like chicken tenders, pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, etc, but all in all it was a great experience and most importantly the girls had lots of fun! #fyp #fypシ #foryoupage #foryourpage #amusementpark @DutchWonderland

We had such a great time here, I can't wait to go back. The prices were reasonable for entry and the gift shop items. I love that this park has plenty of rides for smaller children. The water park was fantastic very clean and the The food was very good. Our favorite part was the dive show, that was the most incredible diving show I've ever seen. I thought it was wonderful they interacted with the crowd very well and splashed the people in the slash zone. Fun and hilarious what a great time

My special needs families, line up! They have an amazing DAS program and you can bring your wagons! We actually rode a few rides together as a family! There's a restaurant called the, "spud" with chicken fingers and French fries sooo... that checked out picky eaters box! I enjoyed myself on the log flume and the historic Dutch Wonderland house. My only critique would be, skip the iced coffee at the Turkey Hill booth by the entrance. It was the worst I've had. Otherwise, load up the kids and get ready for a fun day! We didn't go to the water side but it looked like a blast! Next time for sure!

I have been coming to Knoebel's almost every summer since 1979. I have watched it change and grow,…read morebut what's remarkable is how much it has stayed true to itself. It is still family owned. It still feels personal. It still feels like the kind of place built for joy rather than spreadsheets. Knoebel's has one of the most unique setups of any amusement park in the country. There is no admission fee. None. You pay only for what you want to ride, or you can get an all-day wristband on weekdays. Parking is free too. You can bring in your own food and non-alcoholic drinks without any hassle. The food they sell is good and affordable, and the variety is incredible. This is not frozen burger-and-fries territory. Knoebel's regularly wins the Golden Ticket Award for Best Food, beating out giant, big-budget parks from across the nation. And it is not just the food that gets recognition. The Phoenix, a masterpiece of a wooden roller coaster rebuilt from the bones of a coaster in Texas, has been named the Best Wooden Coaster in the world more than once. The Haunted Mansion is consistently ranked among the best dark rides anywhere. These rides are not nostalgia pieces coasting on reputation. They are legitimately great. Add in the one-of-a-kind Flying Turns, the steel thrill of Impulse, the twisting chaos of Twister, and the wonderfully unpredictable Flyer, and you have a lineup that would stand out even in parks five times the size. The park's setting is part of its magic. It is nestled in the mountains, shaded by towering trees. On hot days, the shade makes all the difference. The paths wind like a midway at a state fair, and in fact, that is what Knoebel's most closely resembles: a permanent state fair where you are not constantly being wrung for every dollar. It is relaxed, welcoming, and wonderfully unpolished in the right ways. It is dog friendly, which means you can bring the whole family, four-legged members included. For those who want to stay overnight, there is an on-site campground with everything from tent sites to cabins, as well as the Crystal Pool for swimming on hot summer afternoons. Knoebel's has been part of my life for over four decades, and it remains my favorite amusement park in the world. I love being able to watch my sons create memories on some of the same rides I loved at their age while exploring new additions together. It is proof that you can grow and improve without losing your heart. Every year I leave with the same thought: I cannot wait to come back.

We went there for the first of their Halloween nights and it was decorated really nice. I was impressed and we had our granddaughter with us so we spent a lot of time in the children's area for the rides and we were able to get her in on a few big people rides, which was very nice. We did want to go on the haunted train, but it was closed, which was kind of strange They do have plenty of food selections and it seems their prices are just a little bit on high side for what they offer and what portion you get so I would walk around and take a look and see what you really really want and the pricing but the food that we had was freshly prepared. It was good worth the money no The lines were not that long at times we were able to go on the rides pretty much when we walked up to them until it started to get more in the evening and the rides got a little bit longer lines, but it move very fast. The rides are in great shape. They're very well lit very very nice looking Parking on the other hand, we forgot where we parked and it took us a lot to find our vehicle so make sure when you park you look at the road number for which we failed to do It's a really nice ride at this time of year out of Harrisburg to go up there. Plenty of open highway traffic moved well getting off the highway and going down the back roads to the park. We had no problems whatsoever. Note there is a Starbucks there that it's not an actual true Starbucks you need to put your own cream and sugar and other items in your drink so just be aware of that We highly recommend us amusement park and we look forward to many more visits over the next coming years

Hours change, but not too often. Weather affects hours sometimes, and can definitely affect what rides will be open. Not everything is going to be open all of the time. Check what rides will be open in the season you're coming to avoid disappointment. (And again, this is for literally any theme park/amusement park.) Also, for anything like this, the website is your friend... Read the FAQs. Buy your tickets as soon as you've decided that you will be going this year, they will be cheaper the earlier you get them. Check the season passes, figure out how many days you'd need to go to make it worth it. Maybe just one person in the group should get it, remember *MOST* passes come with parking, so that's a big value right there, not to mention discounts on food and merch. There are also "bring a friend" days, which if that happens to fall on your visit, even better! HersheypPark has some amazing rides. Amazing coasters. Great flat rides. Most important tips: 1. DO NOT just show up and buy tickets the day of, this is always going to be the most expensive way. Buy as far in advance as you can, and look into passes. 2. Check the weather. A. If it's high winds Candy doesn't run. Some things close in the rain, most things close if there is thunder anywhere close. If it's below 40 f the coasters aren't going to run. If it's below 32 f the drop towers don't run. Anything else you'll have to check, I know these from experience. B. Dress appropriately. Bring extra socks if there's a chance of rain, bring a poncho, bring layers if you're coming in cooler months. 3. Drink a lot of water. Any place that has a soda fountain will give you a cup of ice water if you ask. 4. Wear comfortable, worn in shoes. 5. Have fun! Stuff happens sometimes. Try to go with the flow and enjoy yourself even when things aren't perfect. 6. Be nice to the staff. When things go wrong, it's not their fault, they just work there. Treat others how you want to be treated, or even better, treat employees as you would want your child/spouse/loved ones to be treated. 7. Leave the back row open for me and my husband 8. Almost forgot...there's a waterpark within the park. It doesn't cost anything extra, so when the weather is hot hot hot, you can go cool off! (Bring a change of clothes, bathing suit, water shoes, towel) 9. Sunblock. Do it. Reapply often.

We went straight to the water park, and there was nobody around as it was a little cold. We did the lazy river, which was a lot of fun. There are lots of spray areas where you can get wet as you travel along the river. Pirates cove is really cute with the pirate ship and all the smaller slides for the smaller kiddos that go into the shallow water. I took my kids on the bigger water slides and we had a blast. All the slides were thrilling and we went on them multiple times. The staff at the water slides were so nice, very helpful, and patient as we learned how to sit in the tubes. It was a great way to start off LOMB. After we got our waterpark fix, we changed and went on all the rides. They are small amusement park rides, but both of my kids enjoyed them. They went on every ride (many of them twice). After awhile, my daughter was starting to feel a bit nauseous as they have a lot of spinning rides so she had to tap out. We rode the train around the park and the conductor gave us a little tour of the area. We also visited the Halloween house and Santa's barn. Let me tell you - the Santa barn surprised me as I didn't expect a real Santa to be inside. My kids loved visiting him multiple times. He gave them cookie cutters and he was very kind. (At first I thought he was an animatronic, haha). As stated by many previous posts, it is nice that you can bring your own food. We purchased food from one of the stands, and it actually wasn't that bad at all. And the price is right! We ended the day with some ice cream of course. We spent most of the day there. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be back next summer.
