    Bamboo Maize...really relaxing
    John A.

I travelled all the way to Maize Quest from Upper Marlboro, Maryland and it was 100% worth it. I think I can make this a new family tradition for as long as I can. Customer service was excellent from start to finish. We used Groupon to purchase our tickets but you can save almost the same from their website. Unlimited passes with Apple cider donuts and fresh apples as treats. There's plenty of things at Maize quest to keep everyone entertained. My six year old guided us through the maize with the aid of an iPhone. Although challenging, the maize is pretty fun for all ages. After the maize we tried the train and the peddle carts. There is a snack stand but I also think you can bring your own snacks. Maize Quest has covered all their bases...if you get lost you just hold your flag in the air and one of the attendants will come to your aid. There are plenty of rest room stations throughout the farm that were also decently clean. Everyone's so friendly and happy to assist. I had a great experience and I'm sure you will too...just pack your patience

If you're looking for a Corn Maze than you really can't go wrong with Maize Quest. Not only that, but pretty much any fall activity. The main maze is large and very well designed; you get a booklet and find activity stations at various points. Overall a really good maze and we spent a pretty long time inside (1-1.5hrs). In addition to the main maze they have a Bamboo Maze which is short but incredible, and various other smaller mazes with their own themes/activities. They also have a bunch of other activities like pedal bikes, a bounce house thing, and so forth. If you have kids there are tons of things for them to do here. In addition to the activity area, they've got a pumpkin patch you take a hayride to. They've also got a market and winery on site. The winery was closed by the time we got there (closes at 6pm I believe), but the market was solid. The cider and doughnuts are really good. Overall this place had more to offer than any other farm / fall festival type place we've been to. We will definitely come back to check out future mazes. My only regret is that we just found out about this place and missed all the awesome past corn maze themes. One thing to mention if you're concerned about covid- The staff all wear masks and registers are behind plexiglass, but a significant amount of patrons here don't wear masks and while there are signs to wear them, there doesn't seem to be any enforcement of mask wearing.

This place is wonderful. An awesome family weekend activity. You have the orchard, the store, the games, actives for the kids, and the corn maze. You can spend a Saturday here and spend under $75 for a family of 4 for a full day of entertainment and a meal. We really enjoy it.

Amazing, family friendly fun....not only a maze..pick your own assorted apple..gives an opportunity to teach the kids about different varieties..a corn maze, but a bamboo maze as well...pick your own pumpkin for .75 a lb...bounce pad, Meditation spiral and more...a great day of fun for the whole family...make sure you meet the marvelous Farmer Hugh to complete your day...

Really impressed with the entire team. They were entirely busy all day but seemed to be enjoying themselves. Checked in using yelp and received a $0.50 off a drink coupon. Wasn't in their system but the manager made it work. Didn't want to fuss over $0.50, but they insisted on using the coupon. There are multiple admission options. Don't need access to the big "maize" with little ones. We have enjoyed the rest of our experiences at Maple Lawn Farms and are glad we were able to enjoy the day with our little ones. You receive a complimentary apple with admission to the park, which is a great way to get you into the market. Be sure to enjoy a treat while your there. They also have a wine cellar at the market as well as pick your own options seasonally in the orchards.

We didn't get any food because everything was high priced. I stopped at a dunkin & a medium refresher was almost $7. We did enjoy the water park & the lines were short today probably due to the heat but the ride attendants were nice & did their jobs well. We went to the boardwalk & a large locker was $25, which seemed insanely pricy to put personal items away. Also parking is so expensive. $30 with tax to park the car on their lot I did notice the water at tidal force was brown & murky. I know we had that thunderstorm semi recently but the water color was a turn off to ride. I do appreciate how well kept the park is, the rides are very safe & the employees seem well trained. The waterpark was also a huge relief with the heat today! Overall, I do suggest trying HP if you're looking to have a fun day.

They have a larger water park section with a splash pad, some larger slides and other water areas. My kids stuck to the main, non water park. This is a throwback to another era with a monorail, running through the parking lot and some older vintage rides. You can tell some of the parts could use some TLC. The bumper cars broke multiple times during our visit, ever time we were in line. They also had a recent incident with their sky ride getting stuck and guests had to be rescued. My kids loved the animatronic dinosaurs at the back of the park, but some of dinosaurs definitely have seen better days and some were not operating at all. All in all, the kids will love it. And as adults, it's entertaining enough with manageable lines.

We are season pass holders and with every one good visit there are about three not fun visits here. Why? During peak season this place is severely understaffed. There is a double water slide and I've only known one side to be open, cause there is not enough staff on peak days. Rides here are frequently breaking down, but you'll still have to wait in line for hours because they don't let people know. We've waited up to an hour for food because teenage staff was too busy talking in the kitchen and had no food up in the line at the cafeteria during lunch. There were also no stocked utensils and it took forever to get them. The dole whip stand doesn't open on its scheduled hours because they're running behind and when they make cones they are runny messes. It's literally like everybody's first day all the time. The park tends to close a lot without notice in any season. Nothing on Facebook, no signs at the park. We have driven here twice in winter for holiday events that were cancelled but no notice was given. Just a line of confused ticket holders outside. And getting tickets, reimbursed, or tickets for another day was nearly impossible that we should've been my first tip off, but we still went ahead with getting season passes. There is also a safety issue here with the broken board at the waterpark and the Stafford just put up a chair to block the entrance however, there is no signs that was closed so of course kids pushed it out of the way and kept going into the unsafe area. So in my few visits here this summer I have managed to get on only a few rides due to confusion and closures. I would never do a season pass here, it's almost worth it to get individual tickets because obviously something will go wrong and at least you'll get a refund or a ticket for another day. Season pass holders get screwed.

It's probably been well over a decade since I was last here with family and my kids were small. Now…read morethey are big and we still had just as much fun! Knoebels does so many things right. On weekdays you can purchase (online for better discounts) a "ride all day" pass or buy the ticket books ($170 online for a $200 book or $400 for a $500 book I believe). Weekends it's only the ticket books. Parking is free! Kiosk foods are reasonably priced. Most "adult" rides are priced at $5 and they have some great ones like the two wooden coasters, the Phoenix and the Twister (I preferred the Phoenix with its up and down butt lifting airtime). My kids with their all day passes went on a lot of sick-makers, and we parents and grandparents held down the fort on most of the other rides but did ride a Log flume, bumper cars, and a toboggan ride which they say is not a coaster but it rides like one. The longest time we spent in line was about a half-hour if that. We ate lunch at the Alamo which was average but nice to have table service and air conditioning. Got in about 9000 steps and were there from 12:15 to a bit after 8pm and they were open today on a Thursday from 12pm to 9pm. We purchased online three all day ride passes for $54 each and $100 in ride tickets for the additional four adults. When you get in the park and head to the ticketing building, save some time and go to the smaller building with two lines on the left side. Have your phones ready with the QR codes and usually, you'll get your ticket books and passes much quicker than having to wait in the long lines at the main building. We rode everything we wanted to and only had to spend another $5 in tickets. Food came to $150 including tax and tip for lunch at the Alamo for seven adults, and an additional $50 for a pick-me-up snack in the evening which included five orders of pierogies and onions, a BBQ sandwich, and a chicken fries. This got us more than ready for the trip back to the rental. If you purchase a souvenir cup, you can get free water refills anywhere or $1soda refills. We went through a lot of water refills throughout the day but used the free ones to fill our own brought-in water bottles and then went back for more refills. They also have a nice looking water park which is an extra cost and we did not do. The log flume took care of that for a bit. My dad lost his baseball cap on the first drop but two logs behind us a family saved the day and was able to fish it out of the water while they were riding so we got it back at the end of the ride! My wife said she had a wet butt a good rest of the day. Almost every ride line had name graffiti on any open spot. Something should be done about this daily because if it's not removed immediately (after hours job) then the problem will compound itself with others just doing the same. Brought the experience down for me a little bit. So, about $460 for the day for seven adults. Everyone had a blast and thankfully, no one felt ill after the long day. Dogs are welcome here and we got to pet a lot of them. Ask first! All staff interactions were pleasant but you could tell that some of the teenaged staff were wishing they had their cell phones...especially the ones who were not on busy rides or kiosks. Everyone was very friendly. Very happy with our experience today at Knoebels Amusement Park.

We typically would do their Christmas Train, and rarely got back to Lancaster in the warmer months. As soon as I planned my latest summer trip, I knew it had to be on the itinerary. It was really impressive. From here, you can make your way up the hill where there is a restaurant, a coffee kiosk with a delicious coconut water cold brew (wild!), and plenty of shaded sections with swinging chairs. You'll find paintball, basketball, skee ball, a pedal cart for the family, launching devices. I mean, there is a lot! The place is large so it never felt overly crowded. Come with water bottles.
