I have been meaning to check out Island Green for a show and I am pleasantly surprised by how…read morecharming the venue is! Even during the "off season" there were plenty of people on the range and a few people taking advantage of the mini golf which featured a fun mix of Halloween and Christmas themed decorations. The location is right next to a pumpkin farm and really puts you in the Fall mood, which I especially am fond of. Once we pulled up we entered the restaurant and were greeted immediately and able to sit at an ideal table to watch the Christmas Surf Rock show hosted in the heated tent attached to the building. The Oklahoma burger was great and big enough to split, fries didn't feel like an after thought and in general the meal was surprisingly good, I would try more of the menu based on my experience. The drink specials were varied but seasonally appropriate. The beer selections are limited to cans and bottles but I felt like it was just enough craft beer for me to find new things to try but also have some classic options available. Overall a venue I look forward to checking out again and I would definitely consider this for an afternoon of delicious food/drink and mini golf/driving balls!

I've visited Stoneleigh Lanes a couple of times for birthday parties…read more Stoneleigh Lanes is a smallish, duckpin bowling establishment. Both birthday parties we attended came with shoe rentals, two hour bowling, a table setup and pizza. What's good? The bowling. My kids enjoyed their time learning how to bowl. The lanes held up well, no issues with ball returns or pin setup while they bowled. Bumpers were setup and taken down quickly if needed. The workers. They were attentive to the parties and very helpful. The fries. During the second party visit my kids were hungry before the pizza was served. We got a large fry. I thought the fries were pretty good. What's meh? The pizza crust. I'm a total crust guy and the crust they use isn't great. Mad props that they make their own pizzas (or at least put the cheese and pepperoni on themselves. The fry cooking time. They took a while from when they were ordered to when they were done. They were served hot but the wait seemed longer than it should. Can't imagine what it is like if a bunch of people are ordering food.

The…read moreatmosphere was fun and family-friendly and we saw people of all ages skating, learning to skate, and having fun. The parking lot is huge and offered plenty of parking and was easy to get in and out. The food is a little over priced but that would be expected at a sporting venue. They had arcade games, food bar, and plenty of seating. Our only complaint, and it's a very minor one that we hope they fix, is the air hockey table was broken. This is a very cool place and we definitely plan on coming back!

What a fun throwback experience to go roller skating at Coppermine Sportsman's Hall! The parking…read morelot is huge, so it's very easy to park, and it's free parking. The place is pretty easy to find though it is unlikely you'd just happen to drive by it, as it is kind of not on the beaten path. You can purchase everything ahead of time in terms of skate rentals and entry. It's pretty reasonable for one session mid-afternoon until close in the evening, you just need one entrance ticket/fee paid. You get your money's worth for sure if you are there for hours! You can bring your own skates or rent skates here- they have regular roller skates and roller blades. Both of these are in whole sizes, no half sizes, and both of them would be best on your feet with high socks that go to your lower calves, at least. Tying them tightly gives you the best skating, but that also pinches into skin if you don't have the right socks. They have an area for parties that includes a few arcade games, but mostly, you're there to skate. There are people there who are serious skaters going wicked fast and throwing some cool tricks, but we never felt bad in any way for not being one of the super talented skaters. There's a snack bar, too, with your classic fare like burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fries and funnel cake fries. Yummy snack junk food that makes the experience all the more reminiscent of young carefree days! They have lockers for your stuff, some don't even lock, but no one seemed concerned. There are benches for sitting and changing out your shoes to skates and vice versa, and people tend to just stash their shoes under the benches rather than get a locker. A good time all around and pretty affordable if you're there for a while!

I've been bowling here dozens of times in my life. It's always been a mediocre experience. But it…read morejust seems to get worse and worse every time I come here. This last time was on Sunday, Father's Day. My daughter and I just wanted something to do together to have a fun time. 1 hour of bowling cost over $42 dollars for just the 2 of us. Next the lane we were on would randomly knock over pins during set up or just all together not put some pins on the lane. Next the scoring kept getting messed up, several times we would knock down 9 pins but the score would say 7 or 8. One frame my daughter rolled a gutter and it randomly gave 3 pins. Next we wanted a couple of slush puppy drinks. It's says at the register that you have to spend $10 to use credit so ok I asked what the price difference was between a small and large. The guy behind the counter couldn't answer the simple question. So I finally just said give me 2 larges and a popcorn thinking that would get us to $10. I was wrong it came out to $9.95. 5 cents short and he wouldn't ring it up because it wasn't $10. So I finally just said fine give me 2 popcorns to go over the mark. He only fills the drinks and popcorns a third of the way. I didn't feel like dealing with him anymore because it was eating into our overpriced 1 hour of bowling. I ask for a receipt and of course it jammed and no receipt pops out. I tell him I need one. 10 minutes I'm waiting for him to figure it out and unjam the machine. My daughter and I are taking turns bowling and walking back and forth waiting for him to give us the receipt. He never did figure it out by the way. After seeing how frustrated I was a young woman who also works there comes over and gets it printed out in 2 seconds. This whole experience was a joke.
