First let me say I am not a professional bowler and I come here for a good time. With that being said, I love this bowling ally. It is not the closest one to me, but I am always excited when someone recommends this place. Needless to say, I am also surprised I have not done a review of this spot yet. This place does get packed so reserving lanes in advance is advised. I have never had to wait too long. I have come here during the week, the weekend, and everything in between (well there's nothing between the week and the weekend but we should change that). I really love the ball, food, and drink options here. They have a full bar, a lounge like area for eating, and kiosks to order food. Last time I was here I ordered a pepperoni pizza and some jack and ginger ale. I came here with a large group and we had a good time. This will always be my personal first choice. read more

Went here on a late Saturday afternoon and it was a bit crowded, but what I expected for a gorgeous Saturday right after the new year. The bathrooms were clean (so shocked) and I got a line as soon as I paid. Fun place to bowl. Excellent BLT's and Grilled Cheese sandwiches. They have a lot of leagues and also a dining room with bar that is used by various card players and local group meetings. Doesn't have the frills like Bowlero but also doesn't have that exorbitant price tag . Pretty well kept. Although the concessions are a bit overpriced, the cheese pizza is pretty darn good. Don't get the shrimp basket! But that's probably a given I failed to adhere to but, I reiterate for anyone else that may have the same temporary lapse in judgment...do not order the shrimp basket from concessions. Crofton Bowling Centre is a clean, 48 lane bowling alley, that hosts bowling leagues and various weekday and weekend deals for bowlers. Every Friday and Saturday night is Millennium Bowl. That's when the bowling alley turns off the lights and the lasers and flashing lights come out, a dj starts spinning on the 1's and 2's, and you have unlimited bowling! Please be advised that if you plan to attend either of these nights that space is limited and they usually sell out. Your best bet is to reserve a lane. Check with the bowling alley for more details. You can host your birthday party here, they have an on-site bar, concession stand, and of course bowling. A great time for the entire family, and it doesn't cost an arm and leg, like some of the other newer bowling alleys in the area. This is my third time coming here and each time we've been discriminated against and received horrible customer service. I come here with individuals with disabilities and each time they failed to accommodate us with our ADA needs. Today I came and wanted to order food and was given several excuses and was told that either he wasn't going to do it or the item was out which I don't believe. I know we were treated unfairly because of our race. The same things I asked for was offered to Caucasian customers. I like this spot for regular bowling before 9pm. There has never been any riffraff and there's an overall sense of safety and respect from all bowlers. The ladies at the bar always give good vibes and the food is actually decent. Well, I've only had the chicken wings and fries. Anything outside of that, I can't vouch for. The past two times I've gone, the lane had technical problems. They resolved it by giving us a different lane and we continued bowling. So overall a good experience from past visits. This time I tried the Light Night Bowl. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED. The lights were the most disappointing part. THERE IS NO LIGHT SHOW. The picture on the website that they're advertising is not accurate. Not even close. To them turning the lights down over the lanes is what they consider "the light show". It's regular bowling hour bright in there. I talked to the employees and was told management doesn't want it any darker. They further explained that two row of lights over where you wait to bowl and where you sit and eat is on the same track. HEY MANAGEMENT: IT'S TIME TO CALL THE ELECTRICIAN TO SEPERATE THE ROWS AND PUT DIMMERS ON IT. Yes, it'll cost a little money but it's worth it. One of our lanes (47) was down for long periods. We were only able to play 1.5 games due to the lane continuously going down. The DJ was okay. A couple of times he played the right songs that made folks dance a little. They could turn the music up a little more, not a lot but a little more. It would help the atmosphere since they don't turn the lights down. OVERALL: This place isn't bad. I would come back for regular bowling. But unless I'm just trying to stay in the Crofton area, I would take the drive somewhere else that can do Night bowl right. read more

Bowling for about 3 years one bowling alley that had always been off my radar was crofton just when I lived in this area I didn't bowl, and when I moved I bowled on the Virginia side or Marlow and Waldorf After Covid 19 crofton I'm pretty sure crofton opened first, besides Quantico this was the first that opened, I just wanted to take the time to give mark the assistant shift, zack and the rest of the staff there so much credit on how they are running this place, customer service at its finest and keeping things as safe as can be 1. Great staff 2. Place is spotless, as clean an environment as I've seen in any capacity 3. The price is right, I wanna say on weds nite it's $12 for all you can bowl, and $20 on the other nights, or at least on Tuesday's and Thursday's Other houses trying to hammer bowlers $6 a game and other nonsense, not here, they are doing all the right things for the bowlers, and I promise you it's working as I've seen some of the big boys rolling through there practicing, and it was a packed house tonight!!!!! Please know many of us appreciate the job you guys are doing during this challenging time, we will continue to show our support!!!!!! First time here watching my new Knights of Columbus husband bowl with a fun bunch of brother knights from Bowie council #2577! This is a fun place, clean with beautiful bowling lanes. While watching the guys bowl I tried the french fries with my Bud Light Lime. The fries were crisp and hot! The pizza looked really good too, reminded me of the thin & cheesy pizzas of 'Orange Julius' days at the mall - and that is a complement! Went here for my cousin's bday party. It was clean and seemed to be family owned. They had a separate bar/restaurant area and an arcade room. The band bathrooms were clean and the food was pretty good. It was cooked to order and fresh. It wasn't busy at about 7pm on a Saturday night. The only thing I didn't like was on Saturday's if you stay past 9pm, you have to leave out of the bowling alley and then pay a $15 cover charge per person to re-enter. In the words of the late comedian Bernie Mac, "Nice, reaaaal nice!" :) Based on the reviews from Yelp, I came here last night with some ladies from one of my Meetup groups, and we had a really good time! I personally had not bowled since age 18, and didn't do so well, but I had fun nevertheless. Our group ordered some pizza (it was okay; a bit pricy for what looked to be a small or medium pizza - $12.95), and I ordered some fries, but didn't eat them until it was time to go and I had to wait on my ride. When my group got there, we did have to wait for about a half-hour or so for a couple of lanes to open up, as it's usually very busy on Saturday nights. The last reservation is for 5:00 p.m. and it costs $60 per lane, so unless you're hosting a birthday party or with a league, better to come between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. for open bowling (Though with the $60 lane reservation includes shoe rental and unlimited bowling). Aside from that, there are 48 lanes, lots of space, friendly staff, decent food, clean, well-lit, no problems at all. They do offer a good variety of food on their menu, including salads. They also offer free pitchers and cups of water if you don't want to get soda or alcoholic beverages. There is an ATM machine on site, and a small game room. I agree that the music is also pretty good. They announce that all lanes needed to be freed up by 9 p.m. in order to prepare for Millennium Bowling between 10 a.m. and midnight, so everyone started to clear out before then. I definitely plan on going there again, and I would recommend it to others. read more

I was at this alley today and left 30 minutes early due to a guy next to us that started to harass me and started to threaten me, calling me names and screaming at me. He said if his girl was there she would beat my a** and to stand next to him so he could show me what standing next to someone while bowling would do. Before he even got on the lane next to us I could hear him saying he wanted our lane but he was told he couldn't have it since we were already on the lane. He started saying "you want to be a fu**ing a**hole, then I'll start being arrogant b*tch" He was completely out of line and when I told the front desk what just happened (which they could see what was happening and hear it because we were on the lanes right in front of them) they did nothing, didn't kick him out, didn't give us our money back, nothing. A good date day that turned into a nightmare and me getting completely disrespected and threatened for no reason. Mind you, this started because he said "I won't bowl next to you at the same time because I'll hit you." So I said "ok" and turned around, and he just started to freak out. In perspective I should've called the cops and or he should've been kicked out. Very disappointed since my husband and I loved coming here every few weeks for beers, bowling and fries as a nice date day with great prices. Won't be back after this truly terrible experience. No women should have to be talked to and threatened like that by a man, mostly if no one did anything to him. I've been here on two occasions, most recently for my daughter's birthday party on March 4th. The facility was clean and they greeted us warmly. We ordered pizza and it was ok. Nothing spectacular, but not horrible. The only downside is that exactly at 4:30p, the guy started cleaning off the table. This would have been fine, but he started pulling the tablecloth off the table while I was trying to get the cake. Luckily it didn't fall. Overall, the place is fine. I would definitely go back. However, if you plan to have a party, make sure you leave exactly when it ends or your stuff could end up on the floor. read more

OK here we go, I booked a bowling party for my nephew who is autistic. This facility made it so very easy. They have one person assigned to our group to help set up and bring out more food and drinks if we needed it. We needed the bumpers to be fixed she did it we needed a whole Lotta stuff and she did it. I rented the tube lanes and they gave me the last two lanes so they could turn the music down for my nephew and his other artistic friends. It was a great time. And the women that books the bowling alley they were fantastic! I could not be more pleased. I have to mention the manager that helped us. What a hidden treasure. I usually try to find an AMF to bowl but my cousin recommended Crofton Bowling which is less than 5 miles down the street from us. Cheapest bowling I have seen for a Saturday night 3.25 shoe rental and $4.50 a game or you can wait till 9:30pm for Millenium Bowl which is $25 per person all night and includes the dj. Since we were new to this we did not know how much of a big deal Millenium Bowl really is until we were leaving and they had set up a VIP red velvet rope and had a line out the door. That's right club status all the way. The food was priced reasonable and plentiful too. My husband had a beer and I had a soda and we ordered wings and fries to share which came to $15 not bad at all. We will def be back. It was clean, fun, and reasonable. read more

I definitely enjoyed bowling here. My boyfriend reserved 5 lanes for millennium bowling for his birthday Friday night. The staff is very friendly. The place was clean. They even had clean bathrooms (I'm happy about this because I've been to many bowling alley with nasty bathrooms). From making reservations to the bowling experience, it was a very great time. This place is fun! Pros: clean, efficient, AMAZING DJ (sleeper hit... don't judge a book by its cover, he is an older gentleman so we expected older music... his mix was on fire! First of all, I had never heard of this place before my friend planned an evening of bowling for a large group of my friends. But I wasn't too worried because I am usually game for new places. Because I am in DC, I found this to be kinda of far away, and I thought it was a little crazy for my friends and I to be driving so far just to go bowling, but everyone told me that this was THE PLACE to go bowling. What is great, is that this place is HUGE, They have lots of lanes, but make sure to reserve your lanes in ADVANCE, we got there around 10pm and it was already packed. There is a bar/lounge inside and an old man playing music (supposidly called a DJ). They also have a snack bar with food (pizza, burgers, fries and things of that nature). There are tons of neon lights and it was a great atmosphere if you have a big group of people (I think we had 10 people). Pitchers of beer were $10, so when I was not bowling, I was happy. The music is iffy, they played top 40 dance music (ek!), I wouldn't exactly think that the clientle was happy with the music selection (personally I think the music could have been better). But I did get to request a song and the DJ did play it for me about 15 mins later. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO USE THE BATHROOM IN THE BAR/LOUNGE, it is much better than the regular bathroom. This is a really nice bowling alley. Went here on a Living Social special and will definitely be back. The interior is clean and the staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. I was informed of the bowling rates for the different days/times and these rates seemed reasonable. Also, the Millennium Bowl on Friday and Saturday nights which is $24.00 per person for 10pm till 2am. The bar area was like a small lounge with varied seating. This is good for those of us who like to drink while others bowl.
