3/7/18 To Martin's,…read moreMy name is Latonia Weathers and I am sending this letter of sincere gratitude on behalf of my family that rented the Martin's Westminster on January 13, 2018 for my mother's 80th birthday party. I would like to apologize for taking this long to send this letter. We have had a few deaths in our family to deal with and I am just now able to get my thoughts together. I would like to begin with thanking Ms. Kitty who I dealt with regarding the payments. This event was put on by 7 siblings, and 19 grandchildren, each paying a portion and living all over the United States. So the headache of that situation was handled with sincere grace and professionalism by Ms. Kitty. She never showed any frustration, even though I was ready to strangle my family. Secondly, and not in order of appreciation, we would like to thank Mr. Richard who was the EVERYTHING to the event. He was so accommodating to my craziness. I am a very very particular person whose OCD really gets out of control sometimes, and he never wavered in his professionalism. I kept changing things, and adding things, and requesting things, and needing things and on and on....and he always said, yes we can do that. Even up to the day of the event...he made so many accommodations for me and my family. He has the best temperament for a person in his position, because you never know when he is fed up with your request and changes. And now to the event!! When I chose the Westminster location it was because of the price, so I did not think we would get the same service that I was used to getting at the Security location which I have been in attendance dozens of times. WRONG!! I can't put into words how we were treated at this event by the staff of Martins Westminster. Every request, change and extras were done to perfection; and it was so beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and well-seasoned (which was one of my many requests). The interactions that my guest had with the staff were pleasant and professional. The event was a memorable one for my Mother (Ms Ella Byrd), that she calls me every day to reminisce about it. I will choose this location over All the Martin's locations. I have absolutely NO complaints (and that's big for me) with regards to my dealings with Martin's Westminster and would recommend it over and over. Bob was awesome, along with everyone helping this past Sunday night! Totally seamless, took care of us, high attention to detail and making us know we were in good hands! Let's also mention the AMAZINGly delicious food that we got many compliments on. I was hesitant about doing a buffet, but SO glad we did! And always get the crab cakes! We had a tuxedo cake with a caramel flavored filling and got many compliments. The DJ (DJDELIGHTS) was also awesome! They played all the songs we wanted and kept the dance floor busy! I really could go on. A wonderful deal for the money! I highly recommend Martin's. I live two hours away and it was worth all the hassle that went along with the traveling to and fro :)

We went to Laserdome for their "Deck The Holograms" augmented reality holiday experience, and…read morehonestly, it was such a delight! Picture this: you step inside a life-sized holographic North Pole, wearing lightweight AR glasses, tossing virtual snowballs, collecting ornaments, helping Santa save Christmas, and discovering festive surprises along the way. It's part game, part holiday movie, and all-around magical. From their website: "Deck the Holograms is a family-friendly augmented reality adventure that transports you inside a life-sized holographic North Pole...an unforgettable shared experience for families, friends, and believers of all ages." Yup, it's exactly that -- and it totally lives up to the hype. We did the experience as a pair, and it was so much fun together. Plus, we got 3 hours of free arcade play included with our tickets for $34.99 per person, which honestly feels like a steal. We even spent a little time in the arcade before jumping into the AR adventure, which was a nice warm-up. The story itself was surprisingly thoughtful -- it made us reflect on being present in the moment during the holidays instead of getting lost in our phones. It's playful, immersive, and yes, totally enjoyable for 40+ year olds too. Plenty of parking, plenty of space to move around, and the whole experience is cozy and warm inside -- perfect for a chilly December night. We booked our tickets from the parking lot on the last Friday before Christmas and had no trouble snagging the 8pm time slot we wanted. Overall, it's a low-impact, warm, immersive, and joyful way to celebrate the season. If you're looking for something different, memorable, and just plain fun, do yourself a favor and check out Deck The Holograms -- you won't regret it!
