After several instances of bullying that went unaddressed…read moreby the college-aged camp counselors, we have come to the conclusion that the camp is unsafe. I pulled my child out of camp before the summer end. The camp has a "strict" conduct policy on paper that is clearly not enforced by the camp counselors or the camp director. Several calls to the camp owner went unreturned. We also experienced theft of a few nominal items, after which we learned take nothing of value to camp with you. One kid was even caught red-handed with my child's toy (taken from his backpack), but not disciplined for the theft. There are lots of other options in Carroll county, I suggest finding an alternative to this place if you care about the safety of your child.

It's a great camp to get your kids outdoors, running around, swimming and playing with other children their age. Hundreds of kids from the area attend the camp and my kids always find friends from school and make many new friends while there. I'm glad for the good value, the staff is cheerful and welcoming and they are all over 18 years of age. The kids come home happy and exhaused from all the fun.

She goes above and beyond tending to each child and even provides me with pictures when the kids go on field trips as I requested. :) She has a sweet and nurturing personality and wonderful spirit.
