We have a 60′ x 240′ indoor arena, allowing us to offer horseback riding lessons year-round. In addition, we have two outdoor arenas– a 80′ x 160′ lighted ring and a 240′ x 400′ show/schooling ring. We have two cross country courses– a Starter course and a larger course featuring a water complex, bank complex, ditches, trakheners, and obstacles from Intro through Training level.
Our lesson program focuses on providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere in which everyone can learn English riding skills and horsemanship. We have the instructors, horses, and facilities to accommodate all levels– from beginners to international competitors. We are home to a wide variety of riders– from those that ride once a week to those that ride every day and compete across the country.

History
Established in 1994.
Full Moon Farm (FMF) in Finksburg, MD was established in 1994 as it was becoming clear the Fultons were quickly outgrowing their Howard County location.
Now approximately 80 acres Full Moon Farm has evolved into an all inclusive equine facility that not only offers lessons taught by well respected professionals in the industry, but a wide range of other horse activities for all levels of folks.
Horse shows, equitation teams, summer camps, birthday parties, and horse trials both USEA recognized and starter. We have a strong base of volunteers, and are always looking for more (you don't even have to ride)! Part of our mission is to educate children and adults about our equine friends. We do this by holding educational community outreach programs in libraries and schools alike.
FMF is one of 35 out of approx. 800 licensed stables in the State of Maryland to earn a Horse Discovery Center designation. We are a great place to introduce you to our four-legged friends!
Meet the Business Owner: Karen and Stephen F.
Karen and Stephen Fulton started Full Moon Farm because of their love of horses and the desire to raise their daughters to be confident, successful individuals. And it worked! Their eldest daughter, Savannah "Woodge" is an accomplished eventer at the top level of the sport. She has competed internationally on a variety of horses, and has brought many young horses along to the upper levels. Their younger daughter, Grace, is also an accomplished rider, but has focused her efforts into her education, recently completing her Master's.
