Even had some axe throwing at the farm animal area, as well as gem mining and forging

Had an amazing experience for a spontaneous Birthday outing at sunburst, we chose the guided horseback tour with a stop and it was perfect. The guide was sweet and I formative. We got to forge some iron, did a lil axe throwing g and gem mining... but Dolly the Llama was a pure joy to meet

Sunburst provided such a fun and enjoyable day for our family of 5! It has a distinct family feel with a welcoming staff and well kept property. We did the 2-hour ATV tour and although none of us had driven ATVs before, we were well prepared and supported throughout the drive by Sean and Jordan. They were fantastic! Even though I was nervous, they cheered me on and helped me overcome my fear. The route itself may be a challenge for new drivers, but fairly easy for experienced drivers. There's a few stops along the way to check out mountain views and feed animals on the property, which we also very much enjoyed!

The ATV's are a good experience. You have book online prior to arrival and be sure to check and double check your availability as they don't provide cancellations after booking. Wade was out guide and he was very helpful and attentive to our needs. It was only myself and friend on this particular day so it provided for a more intimate experience. You'll watch an instruction video and also practice your turns prior to getting started on the trail. The trail itself is very scenic and rugged so you have to take your time navigating and getting comfortable. They also advise that it is not a fast paced trail but don't worry it's still challenging enough to provide some thrill. We got to learn a little history of the mountains and also stop to see some of the animals on the property that included horses , goats, donkey, lama and pigs. They also have axe throwing which was a fun game. It was a good experience and something for everyone to enjoy.

My friend after getting off the ride

We took the 2 hour afternoon (3:30) horse back riding tour. All the horses on the tour were well fit for each rider. We really enjoyed our personal small group tour. The guide was very self conscious about the rocks and tree limbs- she was constantly removing them from the trail. We had a couple trot opportunities on the horses.

This place has got what it takes! If your looking for a friendly relaxing atmosphere with a bit of adventure for the whole family, this is the place. Orr guides, Justin and Charles made us feel like welcomed guests and were very polite and accommodating. This place is exceptional clean and they have very nice new equipment.

It was my first time zip lining and it was a ton of fun! We did the 4 line since we didn't have time to do the 7 line, hopefully we'll be back for the 7 line course.

We had a blast riding the ATVs and petting the pets. I would definitely recommend Sunburst to everyone.

I rode Tripoli, he was super friendly and wanted scratches and snuggles after the ride. My mom rode Rocket, he was slow and stable (good for her). This is very informal, and you can tell that these horses do not have to do the same thing over and over. Very customizable, and you will be the only group riding. Very Nice!

But when they moved to Georgia, I was so elated that I had to go and do another trail ride with them. The drive to Clayton was quite scenic, with lush greens and beautiful mountains to look at. It is about a 2 hour drive from Atlanta, but definitely worth it! Their new barn is in a residential area, with some beautiful trails heading to the mountains. The ride to the mountains was so peaceful and relaxing, and ability to trot and canter the horses was amazing, giving some added thrill to the ride. I was so happy to ride Tripoli again, who is a very beautiful and sweet white Arabian gelding. He was responsive to my commands, and was quite forgiving when making a mistake. While Tripoli's trots are a little bouncy (though, can be posted pretty easily), his canters are as smooth as a rocking horse. Ken is such a friendly and amazing guide. He really helps you learn how to control the horses correctly and helps the timid riders gain their confidence on the horses. While he makes safety of the horses and riders his highest priority, as long as the horses are up for it, and he find it safe to do so, he lets you trot and canter almost anytime you want (the only time when he suggested against it was going downhill for obvious reasons ;) ). The horses here very sweet, friendly, and well taken care of. They get fed twice per day, and get plenty of breaks during and in between the rides. They all love having treats, so be sure to bring carrots and peppermints. They will treat you even extra nice if you bring those. :) The cost of the ride is $50 for a 1.5 hour ride if only a single person is riding, or $40 per person if 2 - 4 people are riding. The ride is indeed private, with no other strangers riding with you. It is worth every penny and I can't wait to go back to Georgia and ride with them again soon!

The trail ride was nice but there was room for improvement. They seem to be more in the horse…read morebusiness than the customer service business. After driving 4 miles on a windy/steep road you arrive at the barn. There is an intro with instructions before you get on the horse but it is very faced-paced and there is no chance to "meet" your horse or practice your skills before taking off. Our guide quickly introduced herself but we didn't get any interaction with her, it was all fast-paced. The guide did remind us throughout the ride of relevant instructions. I did the 2 hour trail ride, it was a good amount of time and very peaceful. My horse was Redjack and he was the last in line of a group of 7. He liked going at his own pace but would respond when I instructed him. Being last in the line made it difficult to hear everything the guide said. Before we attempted trotting she gave us quick instructions and I felt very insecure once the horses took off on a trot. Once we got back to the barn the next group was getting ready to go out, it seemed kind of like an assembly line. The check-out afterwards felt awkward where the guide took our payment, she did not act appreciative when I left a tip. They have a sign at the checkout where you can get a discount if you leave a review so I would suspect this has inflated their amount of 5-star reviews. Overall the ride was nice but I did not leave feeling like I had a good customer service experience or got any interaction/knowledge from the guide or interaction with the horse other than riding it.
