There are a lot of options in the area and I left wondering if I should have picked another. Keep in mind they are all volunteers that work here so I won't complain too much. However, we got a late start to our private ride but I was in no rush and figured we would still get our whole time frame in. Our ride ended up being 40 minutes max and we didn't even realize our ride was ending until they asked us to get off the horse. All the staff was very nice and friendly. Overall, I just felt like for what we paid ($80) a person plus tip on top of that that the ride ended abruptly and wasn't the full time. It is a pretty area and maybe I came on an off day. I still encourage others to visit this business but I wanted to share my experience!

Such a great time with our family! Cameron was a great guide and our horses were beautiful! An amazing experience and definitely will be coming back!

Such a great time! John was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and kind. We went as a family (kids too) and all of us enjoyed the experience. We will be sure to visit again!

Experience was fantastic! My wife and I got there about 30 minutes early coming from McDonough. It was $50 per person as advertised. We patiently waited for the other families to arrive as this was our first horseback ride. And that became obvious when I struggled to get on top of the horse! Directions were pretty straightforward as others have mentioned. We began our ride which was more so peaceful than fun. We had some good views although I wish they were a bit more scenic. There was a lot of different types of terrain but there wasn't a river crossing which I'm sure is a sales factor for some customers. Our guide was very nice and waited for us in the back. Every now and then the horses would stop to urinate and defecate and that made it easy to fall behind. The horses were trained to follow behind each other which was great. I've read elsewhere that many people were scratched up due to the horses going through the trees. That's pretty much non preventable as the horses stayed on trail and couldn't care less what's sitting on its back and traveling at an additional height of 3 feet. All in all it took us about an hour to cover the land. As first timers we didn't feel insecure or like we were holding everyone back. It was all in fun. With the pandemic and everything going on, it was good to get away and enjoy the air from the saddle of a horse.

We had a great time. The little one loved it. The only issue i had was the fact we were in a line back to back the entire time. It was hard for us to enjoy the experience together as a family as we weren't able to talk to one another without twisting our backs while on the horses. This is a great opportunity for little inexperienced riders, but definitely does get a bit boring for experienced visitors. Riding through the river was unique. I enjoyed it. We did the one hour option and paid $40 for one rider and $50 for the double rider. Cash only.

Mary was our guide for our horseback ride and she was absolutely wonderful. It was myself, my 6 year old daughter and my mother in addition to another mom and her 2 daughters. The area you ride through is absolutely beautiful, the horses are great and Mary was just sweet as can be. Highly recommend!

    The views were beautiful.

The entire experience was amazing. My fiancé had never ridden a horse before and felt safe the entire ride. The views were amazing, our guide was great; telling stories about the horses and land. The horses were gorgeous. The entire ride was beautiful and peaceful. 100% recommend.

This place is great. The price is perfect and the ride safe and long. Our guide was so friendly and made us feel at ease. We had new riders in our group and the looked like pro's after getting some tips from the staff

After driving 4 miles on a windy/steep road you arrive at the barn. There is an intro with instructions before you get on the horse but it is very faced-paced and there is no chance to "meet" your horse or practice your skills before taking off. Our guide quickly introduced herself but we didn't get any interaction with her, it was all fast-paced. The guide did remind us throughout the ride of relevant instructions. I did the 2 hour trail ride, it was a good amount of time and very peaceful. My horse was Redjack and he was the last in line of a group of 7. He liked going at his own pace but would respond when I instructed him. Being last in the line made it difficult to hear everything the guide said. Before we attempted trotting she gave us quick instructions and I felt very insecure once the horses took off on a trot. Once we got back to the barn the next group was getting ready to go out, it seemed kind of like an assembly line. The check-out afterwards felt awkward where the guide took our payment, she did not act appreciative when I left a tip. They have a sign at the checkout where you can get a discount if you leave a review so I would suspect this has inflated their amount of 5-star reviews. Overall the ride was nice but I did not leave feeling like I had a good customer service experience or got any interaction/knowledge from the guide or interaction with the horse other than riding it.

I was worried it might be too small, but it was just right! I stayed in the loft bedroom's king sized bed and my friend stayed on the queen sized sleeper sofa downstairs. We had perfect timing and got to see the leaves changing color and enjoy the cool weather (being from South Florida these are both unusual!) We cooked some of our meals at the cabin in the well-stocked kitchen. There is a full fridge, stove/oven and a full set of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and silverware. It got cold enough that we made hot apple cider and lit the wood burning fireplace. It was also nice to have the hot tub to soak in after a day out on the town in the cold. The nearby town of Helen is an adorable Bavarian Alpine Village with great little shops and restaurants. We also drove to nearby Dahlonega to check out the shops and artists there. We were able to go horseback riding at the Sunburst Stables in Clarkesville and we also took a trip to the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland - I highly recommend both! I can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy some more outdoor activities like tubing on the Chattahoochee River or boating on Unicoi Lake at Unicoi State Park.

But when they moved to Georgia, I was so elated that I had to go and do another trail ride with them. The drive to Clayton was quite scenic, with lush greens and beautiful mountains to look at. It is about a 2 hour drive from Atlanta, but definitely worth it! Their new barn is in a residential area, with some beautiful trails heading to the mountains. The ride to the mountains was so peaceful and relaxing, and ability to trot and canter the horses was amazing, giving some added thrill to the ride. I was so happy to ride Tripoli again, who is a very beautiful and sweet white Arabian gelding. He was responsive to my commands, and was quite forgiving when making a mistake. While Tripoli's trots are a little bouncy (though, can be posted pretty easily), his canters are as smooth as a rocking horse. Ken is such a friendly and amazing guide. He really helps you learn how to control the horses correctly and helps the timid riders gain their confidence on the horses. While he makes safety of the horses and riders his highest priority, as long as the horses are up for it, and he find it safe to do so, he lets you trot and canter almost anytime you want (the only time when he suggested against it was going downhill for obvious reasons ;) ). The horses here very sweet, friendly, and well taken care of. They get fed twice per day, and get plenty of breaks during and in between the rides. They all love having treats, so be sure to bring carrots and peppermints. They will treat you even extra nice if you bring those. :) The cost of the ride is $50 for a 1.5 hour ride if only a single person is riding, or $40 per person if 2 - 4 people are riding. The ride is indeed private, with no other strangers riding with you. It is worth every penny and I can't wait to go back to Georgia and ride with them again soon!
