I contracted L&R Electrical because I needed a certified and trustworthy Electrician to add additional outdoor outlets to my home to expand a bbq island and more outlets in the backyard. I made several changes to the original scope of work due to budget and Alayne was very flexible and responsive to all my requests. Then got another reply later saying they couldn't make it. Understandable, and not a problem. I like to support my local businesses. They suggested Monday morning at 9AM. So I reorganized my schedule and waited. And waited. And waited. No show. No call. No message. I'm moving on to a more professional business. I just wanted an outlet installed above an existing one. The five star reviews for this place come from people with barely any other yelp reviews. I would…read morekeep this in mind when making a decision for yourself. My experience mirrors a negative review below in that I had to redo Tony's expensive work because he did not do the job to CA code requirements. It is astounding to think that on a $2k job he would try to save maybe $50 in material rather than do it to code. My husband even asked him about the wire size he was using and when confronted he says it is to code and fine. Only after he pressed it further, did he finally relent and said my husband was right but that it would be fine and the code was too strict. I'm still waiting for him to refund our money. His worker was also sloppy and messy and not very professional. This was about a year ago so I don't recall his name. If he was a dirt cheap electrician I could maybe understand his thinking, but when he charges top dollar and you get subpar and amateur quality work there is just no point in entertaining his offer for your job. Maybe he can do a ceiling light or fan, but I would not trust him to do anything that required higher gauge wire that one day might lead to your house burning down because he skimped out.

Not only that, he was able to troubleshoot the light switch problem right away. At $95 plus $20 for materials, I think he was very reasonable with his quote, as a licensed electrician. Just keep in mind Brite Electrics has supposedly moved from Rancho Bernardo and currently located in San Marcos, but they were quick and prompt. From the first call to the final walkthrough, this crew was buttoned up. Carlos came out for the site visit and estimate. He walked the kitchen with me, listened to what we wanted, and gave me a clear, honest quote with no games or upsells. He knew his stuff and made recommendations that actually made the space look better than what I had originally sketched out. Danelle in the office handled all the scheduling and coordination and was a pleasure to deal with. Responsive, organized, and easy to reach when I had questions. In a world where a lot of contractors go dark on you between the estimate and the install date, she kept everything moving. Then Vince showed up to do the actual work and he was outstanding. Total pro. Clean, careful, meticulous with the wiring and placement, respectful of the cabinets and countertops, and the finished result looks fantastic. The lighting is even, warm, and exactly what we were going for. You can tell he takes real pride in his work. He walked me through everything when he was done and left the kitchen spotless. Now I understand why this company has five stars across the board. If you are on the fence, stop shopping and just call them. Ask for Vince if you can. He is the real deal. Thanks Carlos, Danelle, and Vince. Will absolutely be using you again for future projects.
