Originally, my boyfriend and I were looking for professional assistance in mounting our TVs and cameras in our last home, so we shopped around getting quotes and ideas from different businesses before we decided on Shultz AV. Our appointment day came and his team was above all the most efficient we've personally experienced. They were all polite, made great time, and added remarkable little touches that pulled the entire transformation together. They found solutions to our spotty coverage, installed all of our Ring cameras, and mounted our TVs [and created ways to hide those ugly wires we all hate looking at!]. We previously had another company set up our audio/video/networking and have had a number of problems over the years that we just dealt with. We finally decided it was time to find another specialist when our internet stopped working in part of our house. We did our research and found Shultz Audio Video. We needed someone to come in and review our current set up and make updates to it vs setting up something brand new. Setting up an appointment for a consultation was very easy and Glenn was able to stop by (just two days later) to review our setup. We received a quote the following Monday (our consult was on a Saturday) and thought everything was reasonably priced and decided to proceed with upgrading our network components as well as installation of TVs. Since new components had to be ordered and this fell around Thanksgiving, it did take 2 weeks before the Shultz team could make it to our house, but that wasn't a problem for us. When the team reviewed our setup, they found a lot of issues with our existing configuration and worked diligently to resolve. It should have been a straightforward upgrade, but our internet continued to drop about every 15 minutes. This was not the fault of Shultz, but of our prior setup. Lance made sure to come back the next day to resolve and working with someone else from the team, we finally had stable and better internet! In addition to resolving our network problems, the team also mounted and set up our TV without any problems. They hardwired the Smart TV to our network which also improved performance. Overall, the installation was a success, and the Shultz team greatly improved our network speed, along with solving several of the problems we had been experiencing with our previous setup. Each member of the installation team was attentive, thorough, and skilled. The end results of their diligent efforts have provided us the network and media setup we had hoped for. We'll definitely be working with Shultz Audio Vidoe again in the future and highly recommend Glenn and his team! read more

We hired Shultz AV to install a new system for our community room at Lakeshore Gardens. Glenn met with our committee several times, listened to our needs and designed a system to address every one of them. The system is tablet based and easy to use for anyone with just a few instructions. We can now easily use microphones, screen mirroring, cable tv, blue ray and control the sound volume on the indoor and outdoor speakers (our old system was laborious and could not easily do any of this. Shultz also installed new outdoor speakers and we like that we can run either set of speakers or both at the same time. Manny did a fantastic job with installation and returned many times to ensure it all worked perfectly! read more

Recently moved into a new housing development that is contracted with Shultz and from the moment we first engaged with them the experience was poor. We were supposed to hear from a rep within a few days of getting our new keys and I ended having to contact them after a week had passed. That first contact ended with them telling me they would not even schedule an appointment for the install of the contracted mesh network as well as the "Smart Home" features they are responsible for even though I had my internet installation appointment already scheduled. This led to my Shultz appointment being delayed until a week after my internet was active. Next was my "tech" appointment. Upon arriving at my home the "tech" immediately knocked out all of my internet for 30-60 minutes by unplugging a cable that was clearly labeled "DO NOT UNPLUG". She proceeded to blame AT&T and her only response was repeatedly saying, "I always do this and there has never been an issue before". Once the internet was back up the rep then proceeded to have me connect the various apps needed and was mostly competent in that portion until we reached the garage door opener. That process took about an hour too and involved the "tech" contacting the support number for the garage door company and talking over the instructions she was receiving by saying, "I've done this for years and never had this much trouble" instead of listening and following the directions she was being given by the support person. The appointment ended with the "tech" leaving and telling me another "tech" would need to come out on Monday to help since she could not get it to work. (Interesting point about that last part, my wife got home from work a few hours later and was able to connect the garage door to the app within a few minutes) After the "tech" left I began experiencing issues with the speed of the mesh network she was responsible for installing, In researching it further I found that, while I have 1gb internet which I told the "tech" repeatedly during the appointment, the equipment they provided only allows up to 350mb of data transfer speed and I was only getting about 50-60mb even though I was standing next to the two beacons they gave us. It was recommended that I call the owner of the company to discuss my concerns with the appointment and equipment with the hope he might provide some options for improving the two things. I was even open to trading in the equipment we were given and paying for an upgrade. Instead he ignored my concerns about the "tech" entirely, stated that the issue was with the equipment they are contracted to provide and did not offer me to trade in what I was given and pay the difference for a better system, but rather he told me i could buy an entirely new system out of pocket and he would have another "tech" come out to install it. Safe to say, I will not be taking him up on this offer and I will not do any type of business with this company again. I have also relayed all of this to the developer with the recommendation they find a new company to do business with. read more

I emailed them to set up a time for a technician to come by and provide an estimate for hooking up a smart home (control 4) system. A technician came to the house took some notes then left. I then received a call from the company asking to set up a 4 to 5 hour service at $250 an hour. I explained that I never received an estimate. I was informed by an employee that I need to pay for the service to get an estimate. I refused the second appointment. Beware of this company's shady business practices. read more

Glenn came in and set up my Massage office with the New Sonos system. I can now stream pandora, radio or music from my Ipod. This whole Streaming thing is incredible, I am no longer tied to the same old music. Love it! and the the sound from the Sonos speaker is incredible. Glenn really knows what he is doing. I hired him because I wanted speakers in my kitchen that would play music from my stereo which is in the living room. He came up with an elegant solution and then went even further by getting us hooked up with a Universal Remote that works from the other room so I don't have to run into the living room if I need to turn the volume down. It made all the confusing remote settings so much easier for all our stereo and TV components. (I was tired of having to call my husband on the phone to ask him how to turn on the Wii). Then my husband asked if he could mount our flat-screen TV and surround sound speakers on the wall and he did a great job with that. It looks and sounds so much nicer now. read more

My mother had an issue with her home theater system where the sound would disappear when switching from TV to DVD and back. Glenn came over, assessed the situation, saying that the problem was with mom's receiver. I set up an appointment for Glenn to replace the Pioneer receiver with a Yamaha he recommended. He was actually several minutes early for his morning appointment. I was shocked! (good kind of shocked) Even for such a small job, he did all he said he was going to do. After the install, Glenn adjusted the speaker volumes and reprogrammed the universal remote. Glenn is punctual, prompt and professional. The only thing he needs to do is smile more.
