These guys did great work. I had a number of home theater upgrades I wanted to get done. Jason came out, listened to the laundry list of stuff I wanted to do. He told me what was doable, what was not worth the expense, and what to do instead. He was honest and creative about what could be done. They were competitively priced, and didn't have the "you dont know what I'm talking about" tax that I was getting from others. On the day of, they came out and got it done in a few hours. Mounting Canvas TVs (great TVs, horrible mounting system), setting up Sonos bars and hiding the cords in walls so it fits seamlessly. It honestly looks like a painting when not in use when there arent cords ruining the aesthetic. They even had a drywall guy that came the same day for the work outside their scope. I've got home networking projects coming up and will defintely use them again. Give them a try, you wont regret it. read more

I wish I could give Jason a 100 stars. From start to finish, he was completely transparent, knowledgeable, and helpful. His rate is more than fair and I'm so grateful that he created an amazing outdoor audio set-up for my backyard. We got a few quotes from other businesses and none came close. Jason is a total pro and will impress you to no end! read more

Jason from Cal Coast Video helped me set up a multi-room audio system that I could never have figured out on my own. He walked me through all the key decisions regarding equipment, zones, inputs, etc., and provided detailed quotes at different price points so I could choose what worked for my budget. He scheduled installation promptly and completed it on-time. Jason was friendly and professional throughout the process. When I had trouble with something a week later (which turned out to be my own mistake), he still came back to fix it without making me feel foolish. I would absolutely recommend Jason and Cal Coast Video for any home AV needs. read more

Jason came to our house twice. First to install a new wall mounted TV. That was super clean and at a good price, especially when compared to other well known services. Some of my existing system was outdated and didn't support the new TV technology and he made excellent recommendations for a new sound system and the improvements I could expect to see. I followed his suggestions and he came back to install the new sound system. While he was here, he hooked up all the other aspects, like adding Alexa to our TV and sound system, hooking up old DVD players, and making sure everything was working together throughout the house. Everything works as predicted. It sounds great, the clutter is gone and even better, we are down to one remote! I cannot recommend him highly enough. read more

My TV went out suddenly yesterday, but I couldn't figure out if it was the TV, or my Apple TV box, both of which were older. I spoke with Jason, who felt it was probably the TV, but he offered to come out today for a complimentary consultation before we decided what to do. Jason texted that he could arrive earlier than planned, if it was convenient, and within moments confirmed my TV was a goner!!! He helped me choose a new model within my price range, picked it up for me, and had it installed all within about 1 1/2 hours of when he first arrived at my home!!! He made sure all the connections were as before, so my new remote works exactly the same as I was used to. This kind of quality work and dependable service isn't as common as it used to be! Jason is a true find, for any of your audio visual needs!!! read more

Look no further! Jason is as good as it gets - and a whole lot more !!! We had a TV installation over a rugged rock fireplace that we had wanted for years and considered it a literal impossibility. Jason studied it carefully and was able to accomplish the impossible!!! In addition, we have lived in our home since 2009. It was custom built - very long & slender, a lot of rock and a lot of glass. Internet / Wi-Fi signals don't do well in it. We have suffered from weak to no signals throughout our home over the years despite having purchased countless hardware and extenders. Nothing had worked. Bottom line - Jason was able to correct the problems and now we are blessed with a strong signal throughout our home. We are so pleased and blessed having Jason take care of our TV, internet & stereo needs. We cannot praise him enough!!! AAA +++ read more

Cal Coast Audio Video - Jason"s magnificent work - painting not completed. What a great job he did !!! AAA+++ - TV Mounting Near Me - Carlsbad, California

Very fast and professional service..! Would recommend to anyone..! I am very happy with this company..!

Simply one of the best experiences ever. Jason was super-knowledgeable, very experienced, patient and a genuine pleasure to have in my home and watch work. He answered his phone in a timely fashion, called back when he said he would and showed up exactly when he said he would. He exhibits the utmost care and professionalism. He made sure any issues with packing of the TV were documented, just in case. He had extra cables so there were no interruptions in the installation and patiently explained every aspect of what he was doing as well as giving tips on how to move the TV safely. I thought his fee was fair and competitive. I highly recommend Jason and would never even consider looking to another contractor to do AV work for myself or my family or friends. There's a good solid reason he has consistent 5-star reviews. I feel lucky to have had him do this work for me. read more

Every now and then when I write a review for Yelp I wish I could give 6 stars instead of 5. This is one of those times. I contacted Cal Coast Audio Video to get them to install some audio and video for me--some wireless speakers and 4 televisions. When Jason came to the house to survey the situation and give us a quote, he mentioned that he was also in the business of installing security cameras and WiFi. We ended up with a proposal for him to install two 55-inch TVs and two 73-inch TVs, 8 security cameras, and some Sonos speakers. I sent him a deposit with Zelle. He did everything, he did it really well, and he did it so quickly it made my head spin. He picked up the big TVs at the store and brought them here in a trailer and hung them on the wall expertly. He ran the wires inside the walls so you can't see them. He connected everything to our existing home internet, tested it, and taught us how to use it. His ability to explain things clearly is remarkable. I've always considered myself to be pretty good at this sort of work--hanging TVs and hooking them up. But he's so much better at it than I am that I might never try to do it myself again. He even brought his own vacuum cleaner with him to clean up afterwards, leaving the place spotless. Then he drove off into the sunset. (Well, it was actually a few hours before sunset, and he headed north rather than west, but you know what I mean). read more

Jason goes above and beyond to make sure that things are done right. He installed a new TV, sound bar, surround speakers, network, and other AV components for me in less than a day. He's up to date on AV tech and trends, and won't try to talk you into anything that you don't need. Recommended without reservation. read more

Jason is a pleasure to work with. We enlisted his help for low voltage work (speakers, network cable) in a major home remodel and he was responsive, reasonably priced and had great ideas for what to add/remove from our scope of work. He also had no problems shifting his schedule around to work around our other contractors. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again! read more

My experience with CalCoast/Jason was exceptional. From the first phone conversation through completion of the job was exemplary. Though the job was relatively easy, an opportunity existed to create a larger project. Jason was honest about what was needed and proceeded to complete the task quickly and efficiently. One star for prompt return of my call and scheduling an appointment. Another star for his experienced analysis of what I needed and how he charges for his services. Home visit March 9th. Said a quote of costs for job would be sent to me in a week. Have not received estimate or any communication. Texted Jason March 22nd. Called March 23. Today is March 28th and no communication. If my job was not something you wanted to do ( like too small) then let the potential client know and make a recommendation. Jason has great reviews and I was happy to have him do my installation. Will not use or recommend. Also - in my business, sometimes the big "money" jobs can come from a modest job - UPDATE MARCH 29. Jason called me within an hour after I posted this review. He said he had been on vacation with no internet connection. He also said he had not seen my initial 2 star review . Jason emailed me his quote for the job within the hour and called me again that day to tell me he had done so. Since I have to pay around $900 up front to purchase equipment I am not comfortable because of the lack of communication, so I will try elsewhere. Don't doubt he is competent - not confident the job will be completed read more
