Had a fantastic experience at Sun Palace! Excellent customer service and staff, the salon was clean and the price wasn't too bad. They have an ample amount of gel polishes to choose from! Every color you could think of and more! Jessica did my nails and she was amazing. She was easy to talk to and she was very gentle with my bitten and broken nails. WORST EXPERIENCE IN 30 YEARS OF NAILS. I had a set of acrylics done. Asked for an experienced tech, got a new graduate. The first day 2 of the nails had all the gel polish peal off. So incredibly frustrated! Booked a full set of nails and a pedicure on a Sunday morning and as I am walking out of the house I get a call from the Salon telling me they had to cancel my appt because the nail tech called in sick. I was literally flying out to Vegas that same night and had to find another salon on a Sunday to get worked into. Then a few weeks later I schedule to have my nails filled. I go to the appt and they ask what I want, I asked for a two tone acrylic fade and the tech gets started. After applying the bottom color and starting the top portion the tech says " this just isn't fading how I would like it to " I told her I thought it looked good and would be fine so we continue. At the end she tells me that she is going to add chrome to the top so it looks more blended, I said ok and all was good. I go to pay and it was $86! I was in shock and in a hurry to get back to work since I was on my lunch break so I didn't have time to ask why. I got back to work and called to ask why and I was told I was being charged $15 because I had nails from another salon on and $10 for the chrome! I told the receptionist why I had to go to another salon for the full set, due to their tech calling out sick and me having to cancel my appt and that I didn't ask for the chrome the tech wanted to add it. She tells me she will see what she can do about the chrome charge but nothing she can do about the $15 charge, I said I want to speak to a manager because I had to go to another salon because their tech called in. She said she would leave a message for her manager but she was not in, so we will see if I get a call back and if they make it right! read more

I've had manicures with Ty (with acrylics), tans and a pedicure with Cheyenne at Sun Palace. Each of my experiences has been above my expectation. I am so pleased to find a place with this level of service and product. They actually care that their customers are satisfied and look great. I was going to a discount place (the turn em and burn em/fastfood type) and I always left non-plussed with the results. I'm now paying about $5 more and getting the results I've been seeking. I am a business owner (shameless plug: Completely Floored Flooring Store) and I know the work that goes into being committed to giving clients the best experience possible. Have been coming here for years for the UltraBronze tanning bed. They are the only location from Portland, OR to Southern California that has one. The facility is always clean and welcoming, with great prices. Reason I finally got around to a review is their new Assistant Manager, DeAna. Talk about professional, helpful, and so humble! This place is okay. They have nice techs who are fairly new. It was just hard to get in for fills because they were booked out.

First off the lady who answered the phone was kinda of rude, I was there and wanted a pedicure she stated I need a CC to make appt. She said it was policy I explained I don't use cards I wanted to pay cash, she said I needed to wait she needed to talk to a manager... I was outside the business waiting for to come in, another lady came on the phone and said I needed to pay for my appointment in advance for their cancellation policy. So this place wanted to charge me to wait which is bs, but went to another place instead which everyone was so polite and not snobby. I've gone to this salon twice I won't be back. My nails are lumpy in spots and I have developed hang nails since my visit. No massage or lotion if of the hands. No fun chatter. The over all vibe was not relaxing and the first time the card reader wasn't working so I had to leave my drivers license there and drive to an ATM to get cash. If you walk into sun palace and they shove you in the back with the rookie turn yo a.. around and abort mission. The lady made me bleed and didn't even use foils to take off my gel nail polish, she used a nail drill to take off all the polish and didn't even get it all off, my nails were cut unevenly and broken. She used 2 hands and nail clippers to cut one hand and just a nail file on the other hand just to shorten them. The whole appointment took a total of 30 minutes. I do not recommend this place if you are not getting one of their experts. read more

Came here for the first time. Asked for a gel polish pedicure. When I sat down, I'm waiting for the full service and she proceeded to tell me it's just a dry pedicure service. Meaning just a polish change... which I then realized as the appointment went on. Drilled my nails a lot, left my toes chalky with all the dust of old polish and filed nails. Trimmed and filed very unevenly. Coats of polish was super lumpy and thick and didn't use toe separators so my polish kept sticking to my skin. No shine to final results. No cleaning off toes/feet, no lotions, no massage, nothing other than drilling off previous polish and applying new polish terribly. Really disappointed and felt mislead by service advertised. Would have not gone in the first place if it was going to just be a polish change for what was charged. Never again. I'll stick to the many other options that have been great in Medford for same price but full service and well done in a relaxing environment. read more

Loved this place. Great location, great cleanliness, great workers. Loved the prces of the jewelry, handbags, etc. Nice couches and chairs to wait on. Good environment. Plenty of parking Drawbacks.... the prices are a bit steep for indoor tanning. The music they played was really weird, lol. No fans for the foot of the beds. Also, it would be awesome if you had little radios that had a jack cord so we could plug in our phones/ipods. (My salon in So Cal did this, LOVED it!) Been here for tanning for awhile, some of the cleanest and nicest beds in Medford. They offer a good variety of tanning. I have also gotten my nails done here and they offer TONS of different colors and patterns. The one time I had an issue here they fixed it immediately. read more

I wish I could give them more stars. My mom and I used to love getting side by side pedicures here. The girls that we used to see always did an amazing job. One ended up on maternity leave and we got someone else. That someone else always bailed or was out sick for our appointment and we wouldn't find out until the morning of or at the time of our appointment. They would offer to have one girl do both of our pedicures but then what's the point of a side by side? This happened at least 2 more times and it got old quick. Not to mention that one of the jets is out on the left chair. read more

Just like with most other reviews of this place... the service sucks. There is one girl in particular who always has that sort of dopey, mouth always hanging open a little bit look on her face like she constantly has no idea what is happening. What's worse, she's just flat out rude. I came in here because I looked at the prices of tanning places around this part of Medford and it seemed like this one had decent pricing and reviews (honestly didn't read any, though). They were doing a sale on their basic membership so I took her up on it because I'm not into fancy stand-up beds or spray tan crap anyway. I'll take a basic 20 minute bed. I hadn't been tanning in probably 3 or 4 years and I wanted to sort of be refreshed on what the deal was and she just gave very short answers as if I lied about ever having done this before. I go in to tan now damn near almost every day, and she's just now sort of almost remembering my name. The other day I went in and there was a different girl who I hadn't seen before, gave her my last name and she goes, "Laura?" And I said, "No... Sierra." She gave a look that was almost like she thought I was trying to cheat my way in here??? Like a "oh-are-you-REALLY-a-member-here???" kind of look. Then she said "I don't have any 20 minute beds available, do you want the 10 minute bed?" At first I thought, well... why don't you tell me how long until I can use the 20 minute one (I like being in there longer. I'm weird)... And I asked, "is the 10 minute one a lot stronger than the 20?" ... She says, "No it's not stronger, but the 10 minute bed does what the 20 minute one does in half the time." ...Okay, so it IS stronger. You dumb girl... Ugh. Anyway, the actual tanning part is great. the beds are always super clean and everything, and they have free goggles you can use and body moisturizer which is nice. The last place I used to tan at didn't have loaner goggles. Honestly, I'm not a huge nit picky person about good or bad service, as long as I get my shit done and go. But this place will drive people away if they don't get receptionists who know at least ONE thing about customer service. EDIT: After going to my gym to tan (in their much higher end beds/booths) i came to realize that coming HERE... their stupid beds gave me an uneven tan!! What the hell?? The sides of my legs are like three shades lighter than the front and backs of my legs. I even change up my position when I'm lying down so I get even all around but it just didn't happen. I think they REALLY need to get new bulbs... SOMETHING. read more

I went here the other day for a pedicure for the first time and I guess out here in Oregon they don't get into cutting all around your in grown toe area as much as that is what I needed, if it were not for 2 things which were 1) Lacy the young girl who did my feet and 2) my coupon I would not have gotten a pedicure here I could of done better myself. I miss my California guy and his wife. Oh well you live and learn and experience...........right?? First time male tanner. Not impressed with the services. I ask if there's anything I can do to get better results and am given a deer in the headlight look. Paid for a month, so I'll bear with it, but would expect more from a tanning salon. I.e., ask every once in awhile how the tanning is going? Maybe remember a name or two. The nail techs are very nice, but dang it less than two weeks and two nails break (I appreciate the repair policy, but I don't have time to stop in and fix something (three different times) that if done well wouldn't need fixing in such a short period of time). Got one of my nails fixed here while visiting family. They were amazing! They opened early so I could go out before my son woke up and helped me right away. The lady that helped me sits right in front (forgot her name) she did a wonderful job fixing my broken nail. Not only did she fix it but it ended up lasting 3 weeks longer than the others with no chipping or fading discoloration. Great products, service, and they produced another happy customer!
