I made an appointment for a couple of people, it was wedding time instead of them, letting us know that they couldn't get us all at the same time they booked us and we were in a hot sweaty room for about three hours. In saying this, the salon is clean, they're very good at what they do, they're very kind. And it wasn't a terrible experience, but I would say definitely the thing you do need to do with the wedding party is let them know if you can't get them all at the same time because time is crucial when women are getting married. So disappointed. As a college student with low funds, I've never felt so let down by a nail artist. Don't get me wrong the service was impeccable (only in the salon) but my nails look amateur and fucked up. It took less than an hour to get in an out but it felt rushed and I feel like thats what ended up ruining the design. ADD ON- I approached the nail artist later in the evening and was told "no refunds" and to "ask to fix it." Why would i ask the people who originally screwed up my nails to fix them? Completely unprofessional establishment and staff. Never going here again. Six months new to Ashland and was missing pedicure time. Saw that this nail spa got good reviews and noticed they invite walk ins. The whole experience was wrong from the start. Came in with my sister and the gentleman at front desk said sorry we don't accept walk-ins. I pointed out the yelp on the spa and he said oh they require it. Ha!! Nope a total lie. I've seen on other yelps that states needs reservations. When I asked to make reservations he said oh we have an opening at 3:30 but nothing for two. He said oh we have an opening for one at 10:45. Grrrrr!!! I told my sister to take it. While waiting a woman was answering the phone while working on a woman's toes, she was taking reservations for 12, 12:30.... etc!! What the hell!!! When it was time for my sisters pedicure it was probably a total of 20 minutes (I'm being generous) no scrub, the woman didn't want to touch her feet and as soon as my sister was done and got a chance to breathe she was asked to pay! The other woman before her was left for her feet to dry and relax before being asked to pay. The difference between me, my sister and the other woman getting services was the color of our skin. I hate the thought of thinking this but I was so disappointed. I will not go back or set up an appointment. The job is very satisfying/professional and not a sloppy painful mess. My nail tech was very gentle as well as consistent. My nails look EXACTLY how I wanted them. When I am in a new place I look carefully at Yelp reviews before trying a service. I am disappointed in my choice of a salon for a pedicure today after seeing this salon had 4+ stars. I am sure there are nail technicians who are great there, and the place seems to have a regular following. I got the new staff person, so I am generously giving my review 2 stars (she was a lovely person and was trying-so she gets 3 stars, but didn't seem to know her way around, so shame on the salon for putting someone new and not very well trained with a customer unsupervised-so the salon owner/manager gets 1 star). I am visiting Ashland for a month and was in bad need of a pedicure so I paid $18 extra for the deluxe service with extra callous removal and leg massage. $45 plus the nail kit cost is a pricey pedicure. I wasn't wearing my glasses so didn't see how she was doing during the treatment. My feet have about the same level of callous as before, my nails are cut at angles unevenly and the polish is smeared on my skin around my nails. So I needed to clean up my feet when I got home. A highlight was the leg massage and sugar scrub, with hot wraps which was fabulous. She should have left the towels on 5 minutes longer because that felt great though. I like that the salon uses a fresh nail kit for everyone, even if they charge you for it. So in my opinion, go somewhere else or ask for the technicians the other reviews recommend. read more

And then other clients started to arrive and so the appointment felt very rushed. One nail was much smaller and shaped different than the rest. This is still my favorite nail salon in southern Oregon! I've been coming here religiously every 2 weeks since February without missing a beat. They're so friendly and Michelle does an incredible job. Calling to book an appointment is your best bet, and the gel manicures are absolutely worth the $30. Probably the fastest yet worst pedicure I have ever had. My husband asked for the callus add on, he got nothing different in his pedicure compared to mine. They didn't scrub either of our feet at all. No "spa massage" like we were told, just a quick addition of some lotion to our legs for maybe 2 minutes. I am not an expert on mani and pedi, but I enjoyed getting a pedicure at this salon. It's spacious and clean, and they took me as a walk in. The pedi was $27, plus they had me buy a $3 personal nail care kit (sounded like that was required for health and safety reasons). There were 4 manicurists there, and only myself and another client, at 2 pm on Wednesday. I haven't gotten a pedicure in years, so considering that my feet look great now. They have a wall with a selection of hundreds of colors of nail polish. I let my 3 year old pick one out, and she came back with deep red. So my toes are painted beautiful red now, and my feet and legs feel great after the hot water soak and massage with oils and creams.
