The good: - It's right in town (south side) - Clean bathrooms with 4 shower stalls - Close to Moab Brewery (try the Scorpion Ale) - Close to Blue Pig (try everything) - The front desk was friendly and accommodating - RV's, cabins and tent spots available - Full gas station and camp supply store on premises - Easy to find... huge sign - Close to City Market The bad: - It's right next to the highway... trucks scream past all night - It's somewhat pricey... ($100 / 2 people / 3 nights) - Tiny tent spots stacked on top of each other - Hard gravel ground... bring extra tent stakes and a good mattress - Smokey... too many campfires too close together - Only one bathroom/shower area in the very center of the site If you're a "tenter" and you want to stay here, go for the "T" section. It's further away from the showers, but you have a bathroom and a good amount of seclusion from the masses... the way camping should be in my opinion. I'm camping in the desert on my next trip to Moab. It's free and they have showers at the Poison Spider bike shop! Moab is spectacular by the way. read more

At first look I wasn't sure what to expect at this Campground right in town and on the main drag...... But we loved it. Bathrooms were kept immaculate and showers had plenty of hot water with good pressure. Grounds where kept clean and tidy and were obviously well maintained. Office was friendly and helpful and we had no problems at all. Pool was heated and perfect after a day out hiking or biking. Good location both to town and to various local attractions, we will be back! read more

We stayed here for three nights, 4/30 to 5/3. The campground was very tight, but nice and clean. Restrooms and pool area were nice. Although close quarters, the neighbors were polite, quiet and respectful. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of town with easy walking access to everything. We booked the reservation online and I thought I had booked an RV site with water, electric AND sewer. When we arrived, we only had water and electric. I had decided to let it go and we enjoyed our trip. Upon returning home, I received an email from Canyonlands asking me to rate/review our stay. I thought it was a great opportunity to bring up the confusion over the website and online reservation so I emailed them back. I heard nothing.......so I emailed them again asking for a response......still nothing! I am a huge proponent of customer service and not bothering to reply to a customers questions or concerns is a HUGE DOWNER for me! The campground did make contact after my review. I appreciate that and my review/rating has been upgraded. read more

I think this was a great campground for what we needed. We saw many other RV parks on both ends of Moab. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a bit pricey but it's all about the location. It was in the middle of downtown so it was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and very convenient. We didn't tow a car nor did I have any intentions of being true RV'ers. I didn't bring much food nor did I cook in the RV. We ate out at every stop on this trip. This is my first time RV'ing and I survived my first trip and it won't be the last. Amenities: Staff - Didn't interact much with the staff except when we checked in. Gas Station - There is a gas station in front of the campgrounds which was great, we filled up before heading out of town. I didn't go inside so I have no idea what products they had. Restrooms - I didn't use the restrooms but from what I saw they were clean and every day they closed it for an hour for cleaning and I did see someone cleaning them at the hours posted. My boyfriend said they were clean. Swimming Pool - There was a swimming pool which we didn't use. There is no shade and it did face the main street. Wifi- They provide free wifi which has a very strong connection. Laundry Facility - The laundry facilities were clean and when I was doing laundry a staff member was cleaning the area and making sure everything was in order. The great thing about the laundry facility is they accept credit cards so you don't have to carry around change or go ask for change. There were plenty of washing machines and dryers. I actually hung dry some of my shirts outside my RV as it was warm enough and the sun dried it out pretty quickly. Noise - I read other yelp postings about noise and was concerned but when I'm on vacation nothing bothers me and as long as I don't have to be at work I don't mind. We stayed Wed - Sat. and this is what we experienced: - We did hear garbage trucks early in the am but I believe it had to be for the hotel next to the RV park and they probably have a different pick up schedule. - There is a high school in the back of the campground, who knew. We did wake up to the marching band early Friday am, which we thought was hilarious. Friday night we heard whistles blowing and they had their high school football playing so we went to the back and watched them play for a bit and got free entertainment. - We were in Site #5 which was very close to the Main Street and while sitting outside our RV we could see parts of the Main Street. During the day, cars, motorcycles and big rigs are zipping by but by night time things were dying down. Space - Each space had its own concrete pad. We fit our 27 foot RV and it fit fine. We saw others with much bigger 5th wheels and they parked their trucks in front of their 5th wheel. Each site had a picnic table. Grocery Store - There is a grocery store half a block away Last minute we ended up renting a truck from Twisted Jeeps that was right across the street. We also walked over to Moab Tourism Center, which is half a block away and took a tour of Hell's Revenge. I would definitely recommend staying at the RV campground. read more

We enjoyed our four night/five day stay at Canyonlands Campground in early June 2016. We are tent campers, and have stayed here before in 2011. The campground was very busy during our stay, always a lot of traffic at the front entrance. The good: our campsite was clean and ready to go when we checked in. Tent site T3, and we were accommodated a discount with our AAA membership. Our site was not perfectly shaded, but we always bring an EZ UP shade for back up. We were glad we did, as it was warm and sunny the whole stay here. The central bathrooms and showers really make this a tent campers place to stay. The walk to the restrooms/showers wasn't bad for us, and tent campers should be hearty enough for this short walk. The restrooms and showers were always clean and maintained...no small feat with all of the traffic here. The general store at the front of the property is a very nice convenience as well. The staff we encountered at the front desk, maintaining the grounds, and at the general store were all very friendly, if not a bit frazzled from the high business levels. Understandable, as some of the guests here we encountered can be rushed and down right rude. Hang in there CC staff!! The not so good: Our site, T3, was set toward the far right portion of the property, situated next to a gate. Unbeknownst to us, this became a thoroughfare for guests who did not want to cross the swollen creek for access to all of the T-series tent sites. We were not informed of this when we checked in, and it was a minor hassle having people knocking on the gate (see rude/rushed tourists above) and then scraping the gate on the ground, and driving their vehicles by our tent/campsite sometimes after 10pm. This made sleeping in our tent awkward, as voices and engine noises definitely kept us awake. This is the main reason we will not be tent camping "in town" again. No knock against CC, but the constant traffic in the hotel parking lot next to CC, dumpsters being emptied, late night arrivals, etc., did not provide us with a very relaxing sleep each night. Something to consider when staying here: earplugs so you can sleep at night. The community noise makes it pretty loud here at night, which was surprising for us. There were also two large fluorescent security lights from the hotel that shone on our campsite all night long, bathing everything in a bright glow. Maybe some eye shades to add to the earplugs. read more

As long as you know what you're getting, Canyonlands is just peachy. Theyy're dog friendly, they're fire friendly, and it's clean. That said, sites are very close together, it's in the middle of town so it's noisy and there's no night sky, but I assume you've already figured that part out based on location. We stayed in a tent here for a few nights. We chose Canyonlands because they were cool with dogs and allowed fires. The other campground in town doesn't allow fires, and what the heck is the point of tent camping if you can't have a fire?? I'll probably stay in a "primitive" camping area next time, but I wanted to stay in town to get a feel for Moab. At check-in, they gave us a little treat bag for the dog, as well as a few dookie bags & a short little "rules" page for our furry friend. Nice touch. They also have a Texaco / general store on site that has firewood, ice, camping gear, etc., if / when you forget something important (e.g. tent pegs, for us). The term "resort" is definitely a stretch. It's a campground next to the main drag with smallish, close together camp sites, though they do have a small pool. But their website doesn't oversell it, and as long as you know you're getting a Hampton Inn and not a Waldorf, you'll be pleased. read more

This review is for TENT camping. Overall, this is a decent place to stay. It's ok but definitely not great. My husband and I stayed here last week during our 10 day road trip through Southern Utah. I gave it a "3", because it was not as nice as the other campgrounds we stayed at in Utah (and Moab). The campsites were very small and on very gravelly, rocky ground (you're camping, so some rocks should be expected). The bathrooms were fine for a campground (I've seen better and worse). If you're a light sleeper, I suggested bringing earplugs. I never sleep with them, but was so glad I brought an emergency pair. The gravel roads run on both sides of your small spot and are very noisy when cards drive by. There was also the issue of random headlights shining in your tent at night. We were surrounded by large groups, but they were all great (noise from campers themselves was not an issue). We would stay here again, but it would not be our first choice! read more

Called at the last minute and they had one spot open because of a cancellation. Site 20 DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT let them stick you in the front sites. Terrible, noise beyond belief, sounds like your 5 feet from a busy interstate. I went to the office to cancel our second night. No refund. This must be their biggest money maker site must book two nights but everyone leaves after a miserable night with no refund so they just fill it again, rinse and repeat. Crowded when we pulled up high school band was playing but not on our behalf high school is right behind a campground so's little bit noisy also noisy with car traffic but the best of all it's really convenient to the Main Street of town. Beautiful campground in the middle of Moab. There are mature trees at every site, laundry, bathroom and showers. Everything is clean and well maintained. They offer camping for all size rigs and trailers as well as tents & cabins. We even received free cookies at checking the front of the campground is a gas station but it too is clean and well maintained. It makes it convenient for little items you may need such as ice, bread, milk etc. there is a full grocery store less then 100 yards away. The campground backs up to a high school football stadium we did hear band practice in the morning and football practice in the afternoon but it was not a bother. The side of the campground is next to a baseball diamond so I imagine there is baseball practice and games during the season. The other campgrounds we saw were dirt parking lots and had no shade. Canyon Lands is a little hidden gem. I definitely recommend it and plan to stay here again. read more

Stayed in the Camping Cabins for 2 nights. Would definitely do that again if I can talk the wife out of staying in the tent :) This is our 3rd trip to Canyonlands RV Resort and there's never been a problem with noise, dirtiness or anything to think of. We love the location where you can pretty much walk anywhere in downtown Moab. Plenty of places to eat closeby. Bathrooms are always kept clean and stocked. Staff was super nice and gave us some tips local to the area. Cabin was superb. Loved it! Thanks for a great stay. read more

We stayed here for two nights camping in our roof top tent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They give you cookies when you check in and WiFi is free! The sites were nicely shaded with water and some had electric outlets. The prices were super reasonable. The restrooms were clean and the showers were hot! This campground is in downtown Moab and walking distance to a lot of great shops, restaurants, and coffee. We left our things at our site one day to go run Fins& Things (Did I mention the sand flats recreation area is also super close by?!) We came back and everything was where we left it. I will never stay here again! It is the loudest camp site I have ever stayed in. High school marching band practice every morning @ 7 am. The road noise is horrible. Garbage service picks up at 6:30 every morning. I find it funny their quiet times are from 10 am to 8 pm. What a joke!! It so loud but we have to be quiet. Really?!! read more

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I tried calling to make a reservation and left 4 voicemails nobody called me back. I then decided to do it online. Once I booked I realized I made a mistake and booked a day earlier so I called again to make the change again nobody answered and I left 4 voicemails again. Next day I checked in and told the manager it was an honest mistake and she was not willing to do anything to resolve the matter. She was very rude and 0 customer service I have ever dealt with and I'm from California so imagine that. read more

In real estate there are three things to know, location, location, location. We are tent campers and spent three nights here. Location #1- right next to a major highway going through town, semis and traffic practically all night. Location #2- all the 4 wheelers with no mufflers made it a point to come by the area most of the night. Location #3-the local high school football stadium butts right up to the back of the resort, nothing like being awake most of the night and then your morning alarm is the marching band serenading you with a morning practice! Only one thing could have added to the experience, if the high school football team had a Friday night game. The tent sites have a fence between so there is some privacy between neighbors. The place is clean, and the RV's are packed in. I guess it's better than staying in the desert. It is definitely worth the effort to get to experience some of our nations greatest idea, Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park! read more

Their "premium" spot was extremely tight to the neighboring lots and there was no grill or fire pit on site, as they promised. Their office had closed early at 6 PM and we contacted the manager through the maintenance worker on site to advise why we were leaving. They said to call back in the morning. We left immediately and stayed at another SUN RV campground in Moab. They refused to return my deposit even though we stayed at another SUN RV site the same night. After multiple calls, I have yet to hear back from the manager. read more

We stayed at this place this past week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was nice, the park was very clean, and had great amenities. The price was also great -- thanks for the military discount! The park is pretty packed. My kids barely had any room to play in the 'yard' of our camper. I find this typical of most Southwest rv parks though. It's definitely not something that will keep me from coming again though. My kids enjoyed the playground and pool. The bath and laundry facilities were very nice and clean. The only thing we didn't like about the park was the sharp turns and small aisles. It was difficult to navigate our larger truck and camper through the small turns. We made it fine, but it could definitely have a larger turning area. Would totally recommend staying here! Can't wait to be back. read more

Oh boy this medium sized campground is a beaut, Clark! Retro feel. All amenities. Heated pool. Gas and convenience store on premises. Excellent, helpful staff. Right on Main St! Yet, quiet at night. Walk to breakfast! Dogs welcome and they aren't ridiculous about leashes. Shade galore! You really gotta stay here if you go to Moab. Then hike Mill Creek Trail with the kids. Go early. Clean bathrooms and showers! We stayed in a tent site that backed up to a hotel, sadly we heard the garbage truck dumping, tour buses and other various "parking lot" noises all night long. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay in a tent, this probably isn't it. I gave them 4 stars because the receptionist was fantastic, the facilities were clean and they had a great park for my kids to play. I know they can't control the noise but a heads up would have been great! read more

Amazing campground. Access to pools, showers, running water, etc. Restrooms were exceptionally clean and the campground was really fun. We decided to glamp instead of sleeping in our van one night because it was too hot, and the cabin was adorable. Tiny 1 bedroom cabin consists of 2 bunk beds (can sleep up to 6 people), picnic table, screened in porch, and firepit. Customer service was great as well, since our van wouldn't fit in the normal parking space, the girl at the front desk allowed us to rent a campsite to park the van and also the cabin. Loved the little town of Moab, too. Highly recommend. read more

This was a clean park with everything you need! The swimming pool and the dog area were a nice addition. It's very pricey and the spaces are a little crammed. But we didn't spend any daytime hours here as there is so much to sightsee in Moab/arches. The park felt safe. The kids play area is designed more for little ones. It was a great place to come back to in the evening to bbq and swim. They have concrete pads for each RV spot which made unhooking really easy. The bathrooms were clean. There is no grassy area it is all gravel, that didn't bother us but it might be helpful to know. I guess there is a dog park nearby? We didn't make it that far but if you have dogs it would be handy to include that in your stops. read more

This place is one of the best, cleanest, and friendliest places I have camped. We travelled across the country with a small old RV towing our dirt bikes. We pulled in here and not only was the front desk lady extremely helpful and friendly, I was impressed with how clean everything was. The showers and bathrooms were super clean. I noticed the other reviews were for tenters. I can see how pitching a tent in gravel might not be easy, but gravel is clean, fewer bugs, and this campground has lots of trees with shade. MOAB in august is hot! You will appreciate the shade. I also love the convenience to everything in town. This place is wonderful and I would camp here again if I am back in MOAB. With regards to the signs for theft.... This is a tourist town. Tourist towns are always high in theft and people trying to pawn stuff to campers. These are not campground specific issues. read more

Bathrooms are clean and it's within walking distance to all the restaurants of Moab. However, BEWARE OF THE DELUXE TENT SITES. We thought it was well worth the $40+ for water and electricity, however, it is impossible to stake down your tent due to the rocky, compacted pad (our neighbors had the same issue, so it wasn't just our site). Because we were unable to stake down our tent, we fought all night when winds kept pushing our tent in on itself. It's currently 1am and as we are traveling cross country and have several 7 hour drives ahead of us tomorrow and the next days, we can't afford to lose sleep, we are checking into a hotel in town. I really wanted to love this campground, and could even overlook the lack of privacy due to the natural lack of vegetation of Moab, but unable to stake down a tent is a deal breaker for us. read more

Upon check in we were shocked by the price for one night for full hook-ups ($80+) and shocked there was no mention of the high school marching band that would be practicing 50 yds away at 630AM. Front desk service is mediocre. They don't really seem to care if you're happy or not. Location is lacking in comfort, but is decent for convenience. It's right in the middle of Main Street in Moab, so it's within walking distance to Moab Brewery and City Market. Definitely NOT the place you want to go camping in a tent. The spaces are on gravel and I'm not talking small pebbles, I'm talking large rocks. Impossible to stake your tent down -- which we ended up having to ask the front desk for help because we didn't bring railroad spikes or a 40lb sledge hammer to stake our tent down. The only redeeming thing about this campground is that Mark, the maintenance guy, (I think!) was VERY helpful. He came over with spikes and a sledge hammer and helped us pound them into the concrete slab beneath our tent. He said "We want you smiling. We want you to leave here happy." He is the reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one. read more

Just okay for tents...crowded, noisy. But right in town for convenience. Biggest problem is that they have a security problem, with notices throughout to secure coolers. How do you secure a cooler? I don't normally camp with chains and locks. First night there someone came over the fence from outside the campground and got chased out by a neighboring camper. From that point on, I felt that I had to load up my coolers and expensive gear and take them with me whenever I left the campground. NEVER have I had a camping experience like that. Owners, how about a higher fence or security guard? Left a day early, and although I didn't expect a refund due to their policy, I did find it odd that the clerk didn't ask why with just an "Okay, bye." read more

Great Location - right in town with lots to walk to. Our group has stayed here many times with no problems that I know of. Very clean. Be aware if you are looking for the typical "Resort" with quiet and stars - this isn't it. Compact RV sites but large enough for anything from a tent trailer to a motor coach, clean restrooms and laundry, and a store onsite. Also a pool which is great for those hot days (100+)! Staff is very courteous and went above and beyond when we added or deleted from our group in the time before our arrival. Make reservations in advance as there is lots going on in Moab all the time. Will definitely be back again for another long stay! read more

I think we had the worst campsite T-2 available... Slanted and backed up against a hotel parking lot where they keep there trash cans with only access to a port a potty and no sink to wash any dishes.....or hands or shower... You have to hike 10 minutes with all your stuff to get to any shower or dish sink... The absolute craziest part is everyday at 6 am even on Saturday and Sunday! the trash guy comes and empties the trash cans for 1/2 hour loud pounding of metal over and over again in the hotel parking lot located right next to your head also late at night they dump all the bottles in the trash bins. So if you want no rest and no amenities this is the place for you! The only thing good about the camp ground is the staff, location, and market...Now whatever person on the city council approved trash pick up at 6am on Saturday and Sunday is an idiot start at 8am or 9am or don't even pick up trash on Sunday's!!!!! The rest of the park looked nice by the amenities. The brewery across the street was a bonus too.... If you want tourist to enjoy there stay I would address this now!!!!! read more

Always pleasant, quiet & helpful. Sites are clean, well shaded (birds) and restrooms with hot water and plentiful shower stalls with bench seats. Gas station in front with convenience mart, ice, wood, coffee and a smile. I will stay here over and over again period. Managers name is Mark and lives on the Park with his family. This campground was great. There is a nice playground and swimming pool to keep the kids entertained between adventures. The RV pads are nice, cement pads, not just dirt/gravel. There are full hook-ups and cable. The showers/bathrooms were clean enough. There is a general store at the front of the campground. This is located in the middle of downtown which my friends were hesitant about because they were concerned you'd hear road traffic all night. You don't hear it at all. However, if you stayed in some of the tent sites, you likely would:/ Being in the middle of downtown is perfect especially if you don't have a car. There are also 2 reasonable rental car places both within walking distance. One downfall to this place is that there is a High School immediately to the back of this campground and during football season, band practice starts at 0700 every Mon-Fri. We were awakened by drums the Monday morning we were scheduled to leave. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's worth knowing in advance. read more
