Our stay was really great and we had a wonderful time. There's a lot to take in when you arrive. The scenery is seriously something out of a movie and it's nothing short of breath-taking. Our room had gorgeous views of all the mountains and was literally steps away from the Colorado River. Experiencing the sunrises and sunsets was absolutely amazing. When we arrived, we hit the Epic Bar for some cocktails to wind down and settle in. We ordered Old Fashioneds and they were excellent!! Kudos to the bartender for one the best drinks I've ever had! We had dinner at the River Grill one of the nights and it was wonderful. I enjoyed the veal shank atop asparagus and mixed greens. The veal was also a hearty size, which was nice. Of course, I paired the meal with another excellent Old Fashioned. All in all, Sorell was a great place to stay and we enjoyed our stay there. I'd recommend staying with them on your travels to Moab.

For one, the setting (as mentioned in other reviews) is beyond gorgeous, stunning - simply insufficient adjectives in the world to describe the beauty and majesty of the natural surroundings. There are also employees there such as the new manager (Jason - 3 days on the job!), the bar tender who does so much more than simply bar tend though she is great at that and the young man at the front desk that is originally from Georgia - I am sorry that I am so bad with names as this group was delightful. Even if I didn't agree with some of the manager's views. The greatness stops there. Unfortunately. And I simply do not understand it. We checked in on an early Tuesday afternoon. They have no masseuse on staff and, thus, really no ability to schedule a massage or other spa services unless you plan far in advance. It isn't that they are booked, it just isn't possible. Ok, so too hot to ride or hike at that point. We aren't the ATV or off road vehicle type so we went off to investigate the area around us. We had already been to Arches, Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point so we went searching for ghost towns...bear w me on this... We returned to the hotel room around 4:30 pm looking forward to a shower and a drink on the front porch of the guest lodge overlooking the river. The shower was fine. The room is ok. Not really a $1000+ per night luxury. A bit shabby. The bathroom was adequate. It had a big claw foot tub. There was hot water and the towels seemed ok if a bit worn. I got out of the shower to find my spouse w a look of horror - bugs crawling on the bed. Now, I will tell you right now that the manager did not think that he saw bugs and that there were no bed bugs. I've never seen bed bugs before but ai (Claude and ChatGPT) tells me these are bed bugs. Regardless, really??? See the attached pictures. Nonetheless, the manager upgraded our room and moved us. I was so mortified I refused to return to the room and I sat and drank at the bar. My spouse and a guy from housekeeping moved our room. One of the employees told my spouse that the room had already been cleaned (in less than an hour!! HOW???)!!! My mortification continued... I'm skipping a lot of detail but...the odd situation continued. The new guest room to which we were moved has no hot water in the shower (but there was in the sinks) and the towels were dirty. They did comp us for dinner and breakfast. They were supposed to comp us for drinks but changed their minds. However, as mentioned in other reviews, there is an enormous service fee of 22% on "ancillary items" that is mandatory. PLUS there is a separate resort fee of approximately 10% of total charges. Also not disclosed and mandatory. It was a crazy, surreal experience the likes of which I've never experienced. I've travelled extensively - China, Kenya. Uganda, Europe and all over the U.S. for personal and business travel. I have never seen anything like this. I am simply shocked and horrified. I couldn't even get angry. Thank God it was only for one night before we returned to Denver for our departing flight.

The horses on the property added to the whole feel of the place. The room was such a nice retreat from the Moab heat. Comfortable and exactly what you want after a day out driving and in the sun. Dinner at Ember was excellent. Great food, great drinks, and a nice atmosphere. The best touch is that they send you off with s'mores to enjoy at the end of the night -- the kind of small detail that turns a good stay into a memorable one. Beautiful property, thoughtful hospitality, and a setting that's honestly worth the trip on its own. We're already looking forward to staying again. Highly recommend.

Nothing special. Not worth the money. I won't be coming back…read more I was disappointed to learn that the two-bedroom riverside cabin I reserved was unavailable when I checked in. I appreciated the discount I was given to downgrade to a king riverside room. The gentleman that checked me in was incredibly professional, courteous and friendly; that guy deserves a raise without question. The room I was given was clean and the view was excellent. The TV worked intermittently (maintenance had to come reset the box at one point) and the quality of sound from the low-quality TV is horrible. The ceiling fan constantly squeaked and wobbled regardless of speed or direction. The control for the electric window blinds is wired wrong (the down button raises the blinds and vice versa.) The incredibly inconsistent service at the restaurant bar was excellent on Sunday evening, but very poor on Saturday evening. After being told at checkin that the pet fee would be waived for my dog, I received an updated bill hours after checkout with the pet fee reinstated; I had to call to get that reversed. In retrospect, I'm grateful for the downgraded room with the discounted rate; if I had paid the full amount for the cabin I originally reserved I would have been very unsatisfied with my stay. Given the discounted rate for the downgraded room, I consider my stay acceptable but, overall, definitely not exceptional. Compared to the Hilton Hoodoo (where I usually stay when I'm in Moab) this property isn't anywhere close to Hoodoo's level of quality, comfort, style and excellent bar/restaurant service.

Jenny also took me to a few more lookout points because I had only one day there. Food: WOW! I'm vegetarian and Matt customized the entire breakfast and some unexpected treats to my needs. Ginger pancakes with fresh applebutter and a veggie scramble on day one. For my hike to the Delicate Arch, they packed me an entire snack bag with water and mints! Next morning I needed to leave early, but Matt insisted on making me a breakfast to-go of a sandwich and fruit. They even shared dinner with me my second night when I came back early. Everything was natural, organic, consciously-gathered ingredients. Room: Nice, clean, cozy bedding and lighting. 6-7 water bottles, lavender bed spray, gorgeous stone lamp, tv, guidebooks and separate entry, and covered parking for my one car. Property: You can see the sunrise and the sunset right from their backyard, where they've set up chairs. Stunning!! Price: Very, very reasonable in this land of crazy-expensive, continental breakfast land. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed my experience at a Creekside Retreat. No card, just keypad. DO NOT try to get a person to talk to anytime. A phone call says to go on line for availability. We turn on the AC and an alert comes on "Check filter". I open to filter cover and find a filter so clogged from not being cleaned for almost a year. No one in office, no one on phone. Pulled filter. I could not scrape it with my key. Today I wondered why bathroom fan did not work. Looked up and saw a fan literally rotting in the ceiling. Parking is tight but doable. There is a food truck out front with decent food. ****** ADD: wife showered, then I. There were 2 hand towels 2 wash clothes 2 floor mats and ONE BATH TOWEL. Who the hell puts one bath towel in a room with 2 queen size beds. Then I noticed the shower. Calcium or rust build up around wall at floor level which also had mold next to the door. No daily room service but that is OK. At least until you want the trash out and need a new bag. So we are using Walmart bags and leaving trash outside door, which will probably not be taken out. NO DO NOT COME. Dropped to 1 star. Would be less but that is as low as it will go.

Sometimes at night you can hear people talking in the other room, but ahhhh what do you do when they are loud, and I mean as in talking. The view of the mountain was pretty, and I actually did enjoy my stay as I was able yo take my dogs and they have a nice area to take them in front, but please pick up after your pets out of respect. I did like the fact that if you wanted to cook out, they let you use their grill (propane) and patio. Although we didn't grill this time around, that was an extra special bonus we didn't know was available. That is really nice indeed,not to mention they have a jacuzzi to use for the asking of course. But the chilly April day was not going to let that happen! Next door you have a Mexican restaurant that I highly recommend. Super authentic and the next door set up is perfect! Actually there were plenty of places to eat and buy groceries within walking distance and that alone saved time. All in all I will say that I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived, and I think you will also be. Just remember, they do have double beds also, but you have to book them. And don't be afraid to ask them questions as they are pretty nice here.
