Stayed for 7 days for EJS, 2015. Great facilities, clean, well maintained, close to town (walking distance), dog "parks", and great layout. Great spot if you're looking for modern comforts while on the road. We were booked at their Arches location but wanted to move to the Canyonlands site because of proximity to town. Mark the manager and his staff were super helpful (we're new to RVing), answered all our questions, and accommodated our last minute swap to their site. I'm only giving 4 stars because the RV sites were packed together but in every other way this place was great. Clean, quiet, well managed, and right downtown for food and shopping. Count me as one of the people who wishes he had read Yelp reviews about this place first. There is not much to redeem it in the face of everything I found unsatisfactory. We stayed in a cabin for our four nights there. Positives: -Central location in Moab, within walking distance to pretty much everything - the store up front has basic groceries - campfire rings allow you to have a campfire without fear of restrictions -access to trash containers decent. -overflow parking is decent and within the campground, so there's little chance of theft as long as you lock it up. Negatives: -They offer "Air Conditioned Cabins". True, but the 1/2 inch gap in the front door means you will leave your A/C running the entire time there to be effective at all. In addition, A/C units were prone to freezing up and had signs stating so. - The shower heads in the handicapped/family shower room in the shower/ bathroom area were poorly installed so that the only aiming direction was outside the shower (!). It was such that it was almost impossible to keep water in the shower and not all over the slick floor. A HIGHLY dangerous situation which probably will only be corrected after a lawsuit. - On our third evening there, we complained of an unsupervised group of teens who were roughhousing and pretty much being wild in the pool area. Staff at the front desk were indifferent and dismissive, despite our young children being in danger of thrown objects or knocked into the water by running kids. A sign clearly states no children to be unsupervised, no running, etc. Another instance where a lawsuit or drowning may get their attention. -bunks in cabin were duct taped together to repair them. Fell apart while we were there. - Housekeeping/ maintenance staff were only occasionally glimpsed, and I had to go to the front desk to get new trash can liners for our cabin. If they are not going to offer housekeeping, they should state so up front. In summary, go here if you're dead tired and only plan on sleeping while you're here. A competitor might be a better choice. read more

This is the second time staying here but our first we had a tent site this time we did a cabin.. The cabins are small but worked great for just me and my husband. There is a small TV and table area for makeup and a small mirror which is great for makeup as well.. There are no bathrooms in cabins but the bath house was just one row behind us.. The bath houses here are always clean and nice.. We would defined stay here again. read more

Clean grounds, restrooms etc. After spending the previous week "dry" camping we craved a hook up site. The resort has a pool and a laundry room which we utilized. The camp sites are not private, but it is what I expected and is as advertised. It is convenient to the Moab brewery, Arches NP and Canyonlands NP. read more

This is a great in town option. Often we take our trailer off grid but if you are going to be in town this is the place to be. Clean, well maintained and TONS of shade. They enforce the quiet hours and speed limits which makes it nice for everyone. We can't wait to get back! read more

2 stars only for location. It's like camping in a gravel parking Lot the only bathroom, shower is in the center of the lot so at all day and night other people are walking through your sight going back and forth. The first 5 mins we were there a small child approached us selling shirts and jewelry I don't think he was staying at the sight. There is also signs posted to "lock your coolers to prevent theft !" wish I had checked yelp before staying here it stinks! read more

We stayed in June for one night to hike to the Delicate Arches, and we loved the location since it was easy to get into town for an amazing meal and drive out to the Arch Park. What I didn't like was how crowded all the spaces were, and all the lose gravel rocks that make me feel like I was camping on a driveway and then cement. While there were some shade trees, I think they could have invested more in better ground cover. I did like Mike however, the groundskeeper who was helpful and very attentive to an issue we had...and he should get budget from them to redo the GROUND:) I would find another place next time. read more

I think this campground would be ok if your expectations are properly set. I knew we were staying at a campground that was in town, so I wasn't expecting a typical camping experience. But there are a couple of things the management should be upfront about when making bookings. First of all, the sites are incredibly close together. You are pretty much on top of the other campers. I could tell this from the map so that wasn't a major surprise. I had a large group of 14 women and we were given some more remote tent sites as everything else was booked up. Well, we would have appreciated knowing that those sites both abut two different hotel parking lots. All night long, there were car doors slamming, semis running their engines and massive lights beaming down on our campsite. There were also vagrants attempting to interact with us through the fence. One such man even through a piece of wood over the fence at us. Upon further examination, that piece of wood had over 10 nails sticking out of it. Second, the campground is adjacent to a high school. We awoke to the sound of the marching band practicing at 7 AM. Had we known about those things, we would have either had our expectations properly set or (more likely) elected to camp elsewhere. Finally, while my experience in booking and dealing with the management over the phone prior to my arrival was great, I was very disappointed by how filthy the campsites were. Our remote sites (T1, T2 and T3) were near 3 vault toilets. Each of the 3 toilets had feces on the toilet seat and clearly had not been cleaned in ages. We could smell them from our campsites. Also, the picnic tables on the sites were covered in dirt and mud. Even the state campgrounds wipe those off from time to time. The main advantage of this site is that it is in town so you can easily access the bars and restaurants in Moab. Next time we go, if that is important to us, we will probably just book one of those cheap hotels adjacent to the campsite. read more

I stayed at this campground numerous times while visiting Moab for mountain biking. It's got a very convenient location and they have done a good job making everyone as comfortable as possible. The showers, restrooms and sites are always well maintained and clean. I'm a tent camper, so I can only rate that area. Pros: location, cleanliness, friendly staff, 4G LTE cell signal strength. Cons: The Wifi is poor, but I didn't expect much. I wasn't able to get access on the 5 days I was there. I was in tent site T-2 for this trip and it had some real drawbacks. It's located next to the fence that's shared with two hotels. The trash collection is done at 6AM everyday and you'll be awakened by loud banging and clanging for 20-30 minutes. I'm a heavy sleeper and they woke me. The hotels also allow tour buses to park in their lot, right next to this campsite and they start and run their engines off and on all night. Overall I'm happy with my experience and I'll continue to come back because the positives out number the negatives. If the management could find a way to improve the noise level in site T-2 it would get a much higher rating. I've stayed in site T-11 before and that was much better. read more

Our family had originally booked at a different camp ground. But after reading the reviews of that campground we decided to look further. We found Canyonlands RV and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. We were very impressed by the campground the minute we drove in. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. With the summer great it was nice to have large mature trees shading our site. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and were cleaned daily. Add well as the pool area. The grounds were well maintained and very clean. We will definitely be booking here again when we come back. read more

We've used this campground when visiting the Moab area for more than 5 years now and do recommend it. The sites are not "large" but do easily accommodate any and all rigs and are "pull-through" which makes it easy for even the rant beginners to rv trips and parking. There are large, mature trees so the awning is rarely deployed. We use a 30 amp FULL hookup site and found it to be adequate. The location is GREAT since the whole of Moab downtown is accessible on foot or bike. Cons: The wifi is "spotty" at best to non-existant. We utilize our rv because we have pets and it is OUR space so being told there was a $50 pet deposit for "clean-up" was more than aggravating since the "dog parks" are small and not grassed but graveled and only ONE of the two there is fenced adequately. We utilize the pick up bags when traveling so the message we got from the "clean up deposit" was..... Don't bother, we'll do it! YOU paid for it" read more

Stayed in campground for about a week (June 16-23,2013); we booked for a shady area since our pop-up did not have any AC. We got there and they put us in a perfect spot with a lot of tree surrounding our site, its very hot (98-101 degree) while we were there. The bathroom facilities where clean and they had two areas where you could use the restroom and showers, so if you had issues you could always use the other one. Also they had a water issue for the site and had told us a day ahead of time when they were shutting the water off. It took them half the day to fix it and also made sure that our water hose to trailer where removed before turning it back on which is good preventing air or any dirt to clog your water filter. read more

Excellent Place to stay inside the city limits of Moab. We would stay here again without hesitation. We spent 5 days in this RV Park while exploring the Moab area and were impressed by the friendly staff and nice facilities. The pool is clean but small. The restrooms and showers are cleaned daily and well maintained. The many trees provided shade to help keep us cool. read more

If you enjoy closeness, this is the place for you. I wish we'd of known they had other RV Resorts. This one was very tight for our friends 34 foot trailer and a 20 foot pickup. The site was a 35 foot spot with no room for their pickup. Trees are very close, not recommended for dual slide-outs. It was even difficult for our 27 ft RV. The folks running the place were very nice. But if you have a large rig, ask for their other RV resort outside of town. There very roomy. read more

yes!! we loved it! i really enjoyed our stay in the campground! my family stayed in a tent, we had a campfire, cooked out on the fire, we stayed out of town in a campground the first night in moab and the wind about blow down the tent, so we moved to town were everything was close. my family enjoyed our morning swim in a clean pool. the place was very clean, mike the grounds keeper was always on the ball keeping the place well maintained. we plan to come back, we are purchasing a rv this month and cant wait to finish up with the zip line tour , i suggested this place to my friend she is currently there on vacation. thanks mike!!! for keeping the place so clean!! see you guys soon carolyn & brennan talmadge read more

stayed there 3 nights in october 2014. Great location since king sooper is a block away and a shuttle service bike shop is 2 blocks. Only issue we ad was wifi. My friend and I switched back to 3GS as it was faster. There were 3 wifi spots for the camp and they were like being on dial-up read more

This RV park has the best location of any of the parks in the area. You are so close to town that you can walk to where you need too and you are right next to a full size grocery store. The park itself is very nice, its was nice to have trees around with it being so hot. The pool, although small, was so nice to have to cool off. I would 100% stay here again. read more

Clean, convenient cabin with great staff. I wasn't planning on staying overnight in Moab, so I was really happy to find that Canyonlands Campground had one open cabin left when I arrived, since many of the hotels I drove by said "no vacancy." The front desk staff was amazingly helpful in getting me set up. I stayed in a cabin. It had two sets of bunk beds (bottom mattress was about queen size) so you could probably fit 4-6 people in the beds. The cain itself is pretty small so that would get cramped but there's a small patio area connected to the cabin for spillover. There was electricity, a fridge, and a TV (!). There's also wifi, although I had trouble connecting on my computer. I had to move around the cabin and it didn't end up working until right as I was turning out the lights for bed. It did, however, work on my iPhone for whatever reason. The main reason it's not 5 stars is that the camp itself is bustling since it's in town. It's not very peaceful, but that's the tradeoff for location. I'd stay again! read more

Set right in the middle of town with a high school behind the grounds and a 24 car wash right next door. So quiet is not the norm. The girl who checked me in was rude and standoffish. She refused to put me in the camp spot next to my friend even though my friend and I called back in February and reserved our spots together. The camp spots are on gravel, very uncomfortable and dirty all the time. Spent over a $150.00 for 4 nights in the middle of the city and to sleep on gravel ground. The bathrooms and showers are spacious but were not kept clean by the staff in fact I never saw any of the staff for the exception of my last day when someone came by and said "Thanks for staying with us." and left. I will come back to Moab with the 4x4 group I was with but will only stay here again if the group decides to do so, but I doubt it since none of them were very happy with this place also. But if it does happen I will probably rent a cabin instead of a camp spot. read more

Nice! Convenient store right on site. Plenty of restrooms throughout the property. Right in town so you can walk or bike to anything you need but still tucked away from the road. We tried to get into Portal RV but it was booked. A blessing because we heard the mosquitoes in that area were viscous! read more

We stayed here in August. The bathrooms are clean and in great shape, which is the most important thing I look for in a campsite. I knocked off a star because the sites are on the small side and the layout means you either have to cut through campsites (which is annoying if it's your campsite) or take the long way around to the bathrooms. It would be easy for them to put in a walkway down the middle of the property perpendicular to the roads and leading to the bathrooms. Other than that, they have a great location and as others have noted services (laundry, store, etc). I would camp here again if I was in the area. read more

The little cabins were pleasant and convenient for us. We stayed on a Sunday night before doing a 4 day mountain bike ride and then Thursday before Labor Day when we finished the ride. It was great to have the convenience of a bed and showers before and after our trip. We brought a quilt, sheet and pillows for the bed and were quite comfy. Next time, I might bring a pad or blanket for an extra layer of padding on the vinyl beds. It was bustling on that day before Labor Day weekend. My son and his family stayed in the back tents sites, which are wooded and semi-pretty but have only porta-potties nearby and it's a bit of a hike to the showers and bathrooms. The front tent sites are in gravel with less shade but you have the convenience of the showers and bathrooms nearby. The staff were pleasant and friendly. They were putting up flags for Labor Day on the Friday when we checked out, which was a nice touch and show that they care. The place is clean and well-kept. read more

Appears to be a nice campsite, but terrible at night. Campsites in close proximity of 7ft. People loud at all hours and driving around in loud gravel roads at all hours. You will not get sleep. Both sites around ours got in around 1-2am and were loud as they were setting up. Sun rises at 6 so yes there was cars and people walking around at 6am. to top it off campsite is right off the road so you can hear all car traffic and construction everywhere! Totally a disappointment. And pretty hot at night! read more

Canyonlands campground never disappoints us. We just had our second visit this year and we look forward to more. The campground is very clean and well kept. There's lots for the kids to do including the pool and playground, and they always seem to make new friends there. The location is very convenient with restaurants and attractions within walking or biking distance.. The biggest draw for us is the friendly and helpful staff. Mark and his staff always go out of their way to make us feel at home and make our visit the best possible. We can't wait to get back to Moab and Canyonlands campground for another awesome family trip. read more

We stayed at this resort for 3 nights. Our site was right next to the office and was quite small. With our vehicle next to our travel trailer, there was no room left to sit outside. Also, being that close to the office, there was a lot of traffic coming in and out along with the traffic on the main road made our visit less than desirable due to the noise. I did use the laundry room and could use some clean-up. The location was within walking distance to the town and the National Parks. I probably would look for another place to stay if I returned to Moab and I think these sites were small, close together, and too much traffic. read more

What a great place to set up your RV for a few days. We loved waking up to the Moab marching band...6:30 wake up call, but we're already up. Very clean and in town, so great to be able to walk around and not have to take your car. So friendly and helpful with any questions we had. And we were able to see first hand when we drove through Moab, some of the other RV places. Canyonlands was definitely a great choice. Loved the location in town and proximity to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The park was clean, lovely shade trees and friendly staff. The local KOA was booked. We drove into town and drove by this place. THIS place is awesome. Located right behind a Texaco station. The RV park has a small pool that is located right on the street. You have to pull in on the right hand side of the Texaco into the RV park. It was past 8pm and the main office was closed; however, a sign on the office door advised that you can register at the Texaco anytime after 8 but before 10pm. AWESOME for us! Walked into the Texaco, the attendant was nice and helpful and assisted with getting us registered with a spot, gave us all the materials we needed. The park is located right off the main drag so it's a tight RV park but still maintains it's charm. You don't get the gorgeous views of the mountains but it has lots of trees for shade. Concrete slabs for level parking. Two dog parks. One is a small gated area and if you walk down the hill there is a larger dog run. Past the RV campground, it's somewhat hidden is the large dog run and if you keep walking along the creek (yes there is a small creek through the campground) you will run into a hangout area, horseshoe pits and a covered picnic area with 2 propane gas grills. You can cross the creek and there is another portion of the campground where people can tent. The overall RV park was clean and organized. Will definitely stay here again the next time we go through Moab. Also, if you want a nice easy meal, hit up the Quesadilla Mobilla Food truck in Moab. YUM! read more

The site is located in town so for people looking for a beautiful view and scenery, this may not be the place for you. I, however, liked the convenience of being right across the street from a restaurant. There are also stores and a place to book adventure tours within walking distance. After the last campground I stayed at, I was very happy to find that these bathrooms and showers were very clean. The laundry facility was pretty large (8 washers and 8 dryers) and clean as well. As temperatures often reach the 100 mark, the many shade trees and pool were a plus. On the downside the pool was often crowded. Also there is very little grass as there are mostly concrete slabs or gravel. This isn't a huge deal when staying in an rv. It can also be a little noisy at times because there is a high school sports field and bleachers located right behind the campsite. For about $50/night you get electricity, water, cable (although we didn't try it out), and wifi access. Overall the price is reasonable and the facilities clean. As for people concerned about thefts, I would say that can happen at any campsite and you should always secure your belongings just to be on the safe side. read more
