Pros: we stayed in D1 cottage and the set up is homey and cute. Two person table, love seat pull out couch, two queen beds, a bath tub, coffee pot, mini fridge, toaster, etc. Each room contains a mini split which works great at heating and cooling the rooms. The mattresses are what you'd expect for staying off somewhere, not too hard but not too soft. We brought our own pillows so I can't speak to those. The bathroom has hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We didn't use the community areas, but the setup looks great and it has a grill. Cons: Cleanliness is lacking, there are cobwebs throughout. The floor needs a good vacuuming and a heavy mopping done. It looks like only spot cleaning is done when guests leave the property. Seeing the lack of cleanliness made me question if our sheets had actually been washed and that's a gross feeling. The bath tub has no stopper, but using a wash rag worked just fine. The hot water is lacking. A quarter of the way filling the tub the water turned cold, and it took a good 45 minutes for the water to heat back up. With three people needing to bathe/shower, it was problematic and very disappointing after a long day of being out in Arches N.P. Be sure to watch a YouTube video on the Hamilton Beach Brew Station coffee pot before using or you will have watered down cold coffee. Unfortunately, I did this after making our coffee, and wasted the coffee grounds and collagen powder I had brought. There is a lot of road noise, so if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. I don't think we will be back here again for the price we paid. read more

This review is for the tent camping, not the cabin or other rental options here (now HTR Moab). The tent area is right next to the highway and it is LOUD since the trucks are engine braking downhill and shifting gears to go uphill. We stayed here two nights and slept terribly. Even with the free earplugs, we couldn't get a good nights sleep. Everything is so close together you also have no space from your neighbors. When we arrived someone else was encroaching in our site. The shared kitchen and bathroom facilities are nice, hence the 2 instead of 1 star. read more

We've stayed here twice, in our own tent. It's a nice place just on the edge of town, with a communal kitchen, patio with multiple grills, and indoor toilets and showers. There is also a laundry room. You can camp, stay in your RV, or rent a cabin here, depending on your preferred style of vacationing. Being that it is on the edge of town, it does take a little bit of driving to get to places. The grocery stores and restaurants aren't too bad, but the parks are on the other end of the city, with one main route to get there, so if there is an accident, or construction, you're stuck. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the property is right beside the highway. There is a ditch and a lot of tall vegetation to aid in blocking out the sound, but it is still kind of loud, especially when a semi goes by. I recommend ear plugs, especially if you're camping here. Now that they've changed ownership, I would stay here again to see what, if anything, has changed. It is a nice place. 55/2024 read more

I think the name has changed to HTR Moab but this is what popped up with the same address. We were looking for a place near our daughter and son-in-law's RV campground. There are plenty of hotels in the city but those were a little too far and kind of pricy. We wanted a central location where everyone could hang out after a long day of exploration and this was the place! Very comfortable and well-equipped. One way to save some money in today's inflation-ridden economy is to prepare a few meals where you are staying and eat out a little less often. The kitchen was perfect for just that. It allowed a place for the grandkids to play and everyone could be comfortable. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. What more could you ask for? read more

We stayed in a deluxe safari tent and it was pretty good. Bathrooms were clean but they did not have places to drop your feminine hygiene products so you have to walk out to throw it away. We also had crumbs in our bed when we arrived which was a little distressing. The stay was good though. That is why I will give it 4 stars. read more

Decided to add a star for ACT Campground after the new picnic table was delivered promptly. A really nice guy came to check and make sure we were happy. We kicked the dirt around and leveled area ourselves. One interesting thing I noticed--we stayed there a week, and the woman's restroom got progressively dirtier such that by Saturday the shower drains were overflowing, there were no paper towels, hair all over the floor , and the toilets were pretty dirty. Maybe a different staff member or not enough staff to clean the bathroom? Not sure. The men's room did not have that problem. Another good note, they have a laundry facility on site. Our overall feeling was that this is an excellent place if you are a tent camper, but not super duper if you are in an RV or a trailer. read more

Like the clean and eco-friendly approach. Evaporative cooler worked well in the 4 person room. Clean and spacious showers area. Easy parking. Dog friendly. Checked in at 10:30 pm. Reserved on AirBnB. Sorry to say nothing on AirBnB explained check in procedure, but we figured out by walking up to office area. Thankfully not super expensive for great access to Moab and Arches. read more

** SMALL SITES IF YOU HAVE A LARGE RIG ** The ACT Campground was clean and very nice people there! We have a large rig - toy hauler - fifth wheel - and we took it, along with our Ford F250 and 4-seater Polaris General - very limited additional parking (we had to pay for additional parking space - only $5 more per day) but the parking was limited. The spaces are very tight - tough turn and slope getting in and out of the campground - scraped going in and out. We saw a number of other large rigs having a DIFFICULT time getting in. We would stay again if we had a smaller rig - as mentioned it was clean and nice - but very small sites so not giving a 5-star simply for that reason. Be sure to check the space you are assigned to ensure you can fit your camper/toys. Only a mile or so out of town - great views. read more

Arrived and checkin was quick and easy as I had paid online already. Got a quick tour of all the amenities of the campground and was amazed at everything available for everyone to use. A full kitchen with indoor seating area. A full outdoor area to cook your food in the gas powered grills and pizza oven. The pay to use laundry area was also nice. The bathrooms were extremely clean and nice warm water to shower. The pull thru site we had was sloped but nothing too bad as I could get level with no big issues. Great view of the surrounding area from our site and pretty much the entire campground. Yes it is next to US HWY 191 but I did not really pay too much attention to any noise. I would definitely stay here again for the location, price, and amenities. read more

Because we were arriving so late, we booked a cabin for our first night and a tent site for the rest of our week-long trip in Moab. The cabin was nice, clean and decently comfortable. It was a futon bed, so definitely not the Ritz, but we slept very well after driving for six hours. The next morning when we were going to move into our tent space we quickly realized that we would not have enough room for our large tent. The very kind woman at the front desk tried to accommodate us and move people around but we were unable to make it work. She was even kind enough to offer to let us borrow her own tent! We did find a campground that had larger spaces available. ACT does offer spaces that accommodate larger tents but you need to make sure you know exactly how large a space you need, and make sure that you are actually booked into that space! We thought we had reserved the larger space but when we got there it was the smaller space. We would have loved to camp here, the kitchen is awesome, it's one of the main reasons we chose ACT! There's definitely a sense of community here, but in pandemic times, that's not always a plus, especially when it comes in the form of crowded bathrooms with only one working faucet and maskless patrons. We pulled in to our tent site after dark, tired, and discovered that the adjacent campers were so close that the smoke from their campfire filled our tent and stung our eyes as we were setting up. I finally had to sheepishly ask them how long it would be, which one should never have to do at a campsite. Tent sites are too close and our site was basically a small patch of red dirt. The noise from the adjacent highway made me feel like I was sleeping on a runway. Low cost but not worth it until group togetherness is a healthy option again. read more

Quite surprised there is such a great facility nestled in the out skirts of moab. The camp grounds are well-maintained and the people here are very friendly. There is a Community Kitchen full of board games and condiments and a refrigerator you can store food in and free coffee and tea in the mornings or during the evenings if you want to cook a meal there are plates forks and other utensils. I am quite amazed at how clean the bathrooms are, everything seemed to have been built within the last 5 years. My only complaint is that the first few campgrounds are within such close proximity to the road that you can hear cars but nothing a few your plugs can't solve. I think maybe campgrounds 5 through 15 are enclosed in walled area that takes care of some of noise. Each Campground includes a relatively large sandbox as well as a fire pit and a few tables. There is also free Wi-Fi here that extends to the whole camp ground they probably have an extender of some sort we were able to watch Netflix from our tent site it was pretty awesome. ( so much for roughing it, but we had to finish the last episode of Stranger Things) read more

Great place to spend the night, loved the shared kitchen and firepit - reminded me of New Zealand campgrounds. This is a smaller campground so book early to get in as Moab seems to fill up fast we found. Good wifi, the kids liked that. We all liked the showers. Excellent laundry facilities. Yes you are slightly further from Canyonlands & Arches on this side of Moab but it is only a few minutes drive in reality. And on the plus side you are not near the uranium tailings dam. My husband and I stayed in the only yurt at the campground. Thought it would be worth paying the extra money for a little more comfort (when we travel we are tent campers 99% of the time). Boy, were we wrong. Pros: -Electricity, lights -Didn't have to sleep on the ground -Plenty of space inside Cons: -There were only two lights in the whole yurt. Nothing outside, nothing by the front door inside, nothing overhead. Just two small bedside table lights. - Electricity is provided basically by an extension cord from outside. Attached to that are two 3-5 ft surge protectors. This gives power to only one small part of the room (opposite the front door, but near one of the beds at least). - Very few pieces of furniture. The yurt has two queen size beds, one small couch that could sleep a child, and what looked like a pile of twin size foam pads (we didn't investigate further). There are two cheap plastic folding tables, three small metal bedside tables, and four old wood/upholstered chairs. The yurt is very large and seems quite empty and plain with such few items. -The carpet is old, stained industrial style tiles. The floor squeaks horribly when walked on. - The yurt is separated from the highway by 100-200 ft and some scrubby desert vegetation. Maybe when the yurt was built there, the highway was less busy. Now it sounds like a large interstate highway all day and night. There were very few minutes of quiet in the nights we were there. The days were worse. I had to yell to be heard on the other side of the yurt. There were earplugs provided in the yurt but did little to help with noise when sleeping. - Turns out, towels are not provided. Bedsheets, blankets and linens were on the two queen size beds. I saw no warning or notice on any communication sent from the campground before, during, or after making the reservation stating to bring our own towels. When asking the front desk staff (don't recall a name) why no towels where provided or notice given to bring our own, the reply was "Well I can give you some if it's that big of a deal." How else are we supposed to shower? - The check-in process was confusing. I called to say we were probably going to check in about 5/6pm the first day. Was told the office closes at 6pm but no worries, the map and parking directions would be outside. No mention of the key. Silly me, I should have asked because there was no key left for us. Luckily, the yurt was left unlocked so we were able to get in that night. The office hours are limited (10-6). We were there for a conference that went from 8-6 every day so nearly impossible to talk to the front desk staff. Though we left the conference early one day to ask about towels and a key, just to find the office closed 5 minutes early (guess their clock was different). Called the after hours number and got a sassy response (see towels above). - The yurt has zero insulation (some yurts have thicker walls, this one does not). So when it is hot outside, it is hotter inside. When it is cold outside, it is colder inside. We were there in October, highs about 65 F and lows about 30 F at night. That yurt was an icebox (there were certainly no heaters). We were prepared with lots of warm layers and an electric blanket, and it was still miserable to be inside in the early mornings or late evenings. As for the rest of the facilities, most things were great. The community kitchen is nice. Well stocked, cleaned once a day, big and easy to use. The outdoor seating area is big, about 6-8 tables and plenty of chairs. The bathrooms seemed big enough and were clean. Three toilet stalls, four shower stalls (one ADU size). In the woman's bathroom, one of the the toilet stall locks was broken and another toilet was continually running. Would have mentioned this to the staff wasn't able to but because of the office hours (didn't seem like an emergency that qualified for a call to the after hours line). I would stay again but only in a tent on the other side of the building, away from the highway, or possibly an RV. read more

We found this place on Passport America and got 50% off! This campground is located just outside of downtown Moab closed to Arches and Needle district of Canyonlands National parks. The owner is very friendly and he is Green and Eco minded. He will explain to you why this building is special and this place has a VERY clean community kitchen and bathroom. Note: be careful when you use GPS! It might take you to a wrong address. It did to us. Call the owner before make sure you go to the right place the first time. I never interacted with the staff while staying at ACT. We arrived after hours. The whole campground is on a slight hill. It is small and on the corner of two busy roads so pretty noisy early in the morning. Another camp site took our picnic table (A1) and actually made it so we couldn't back in all the way. They yelled at us when we tried to move it. We left the next morning and unfortunately were glad to have to move to another campground in the area. read more

Would definitely love to stay here again if i ever find myself in Moab, Utah in the future. Check-in was super easy. We were promptly given a tour of the grounds which includes a VERY nice bathroom, community kitchen, and laundry room. Our camp site had a small fire pit, park style bench to sit/eat at and a place to put the tent. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the bathroom and community kitchen. It is not really something you'd expect from a campsite. The only SMALL downside to this campground is that it is close to the road and at night you can hear all the cars passing by. read more

Owners are very nice. I think the best thing about this campground is the bathrooms. They were very nice and new, clean. Shower was hot and had good pressure. There was a nice big sand box for the kids to play in, they loved it. The washers and dryers were also very nice and they even had a clothes line outside for drying. The outdoor kitchen and community kitchen were pretty amazing. There was even a grill with a pizza oven. What we didn't like was how close the sites are together and there wasn't any trees or shade. There wasn't much place to park our vehicle that we were using to tow our trailer. I would recommend having something to put one side of your rv tires up on because it is hard to get level. We did not and our camper was so un level our food slid to one side of the camper when eating. The location is good with great mountain views and close to town. We would visit again. read more

We stayed here on June 15 & 16, 2015; overall the place is great! I love the community kitchen and grill. We met some fellow campers and played Clue with them...haven't done that in years! It was also nice to be able to relax in the kitchen in the heat of the day. Wi-Fi access was great! We stayed in our tent and there were two downsides....intense wind and the site itself was just barely big enough for our 10x10 tent. Other than that, awesome place to stay! Very clean!! One other overall downside was the quiet time...from 10PM - 8AM. Too long, in my opinion, especially as the sun comes up in the 5 o'clock hour. read more

We are grateful for our stay at ACT campground! Our group of 20 high school students and 5 instructors stayed at ACT for 5 days. We had originally booked campsites for all nights. During our stay, a storm blew in and we needed to switch our reservation to the suites / bunk room. ACT was so accommodating and applied the credit from our campsites to the rooms. ACT's kitchen made cooking for 25 people a breeze. The bathrooms with free showers were a huge bonus for our group as well. ACT campground was extremely clean and well cared for. We stayed at this site for several days. I really struggled between a 4 and 5 score. Construction was a major issue but did not bother us as it would have others. We use our camper just for sleep. The days were spent at Arches and Canyonland. The last day we decided to use the laundry room and showers facility. They had the cleanest facility I have seen for some time. I gave them a 5. They also have a wonderful gathering room. A grill is provided on the patio with tables and chairs. Very friendly atmosphere. read more

You might be thinking $25 is a bit much for camping, but trust me that is a bargain for what you're getting. The campgrounds are close, but are organized in a way that gives privacy. There are fire pits nearby and picnic tables in each site BUT- there is also a full working kitchen. Ovens, microwaves, and even barbecues outside! It is seriously nicer than my kitchen at home. On top of that are the washers and dryers that do a pretty good job and hold a large load. The showers are clean with good pressure, which is really important after hiking around here. The staff was super well organized and nice, full of local recommendations about where to eat and play. We really enjoyed our stay here and it was well worth every single penny. read more

We stayed here with several family members, in three cabin-style rooms and a yurt. This place blew us away. It was super clean, had so many great amenities and was the perfect spot for our big group to stretch out and enjoy one another's company. The outdoor kitchen/grilling area was awesome, and the place had all the pots, pans, and utensils we could need available for anyone to use. The fire pit had plenty of wood nearby, and there were even marshmallow roasting sticks right there. The staff were very friendly, the people who stayed at the camp the same nights we did were all very nice and we shared the space well. It's not on Main Street, but it's just a few minutes out of town, with great views and a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back! read more

Great place for tenters as there is a nice kitchen available. However, for RVs it is highly over priced! RVs are stacked up on top of each other, lots of highway noise, very windy knoll (not really a good spot for RVs- lots of rocken and rolling on windy nights) and no tree cover at all. It is advertised as the enviromentally friendly RV camp and in fact, their house is. However, where are the solar panels, wind generators, solar hot water panels, etc?? read more

Great location just outside moab. They have a huge indoor kitchen for the community use and plenty of area/equipment for multiple people to be using at the same time. Unable to use the firepit due to fire restrictions, but it was a nice area. Bathrooms are clean. They have a great laundry area which we didn't take advantage of, but knew was there. read more

Spent three nights here in one of the cabin rooms and couldn't be happier. Great location just south of the main drag in Moab. Room was simple and on the small side, but comfortable and clean. The shared bathrooms were well appointed and clean. The communal kitchen had everything you could need. Staff was friendly and responsive. Even had a nice sandbox and toys to keep our 2 and 5 year olds entertained. We used their coin laundry and they provided complimentary soap. Extra bonus, it's a 4 minute drive to mill creek to take a dip and escape the summer heat. All in all it was a great deal for the money and if we come back to Moab, we will stay there if we can. read more

This place would have been a four star if they represented themselves correctly on one big item when it's 103 degrees outside. Their cooling system. I'm totally fine with and think it's awesome that they use some Evaporative cooling technique but when you advertise there's a swamp cooler in every room and that isn't the case, there's a problem. We wanted a cool place for our dog to hang out during the day when it was boiling hot out while we hiked. When we found out there was no swamp cooler in the room and talked to the front desk we were told, "we'll there is a swamp cooler in every room, there's one on the roof" and "it'll get down to 78 in the room". 1 swamp cooler on the roof does not = 1 in every room, simple math. This explanation was not satisfactory to their description on their website. When I went back into the office to tell them we wanted our money back and we're going to stay somewhere else, the front desk person (different than the first) was very rude, slightly aggressive, and short with me. We never received confirmation of cancellation as promised by this ornery staff member and have now been having to deal with Air bnb to get our refund. The staff could have handled the situation in a much more respectful and professional manner but instead seemed to throw a tantrum when we didn't fall for the stumbling rationalization of their incorrect description of their cooling mechanisms. Overall nice facilities, one very rude staff member that could use a lesson in customer service. The only thing they need to evaporate away is the attitude . read more

A few friends and I stayed here for two nights and three days and it was overall a great experience. I read a few reviews saying that the tent spaces were too small but my 7 person tent fit well with space to spare. Each space has a fire pit and a bench. The campground has very fast free WiFi, clean showers, bathrooms, and communal space. The kitchen has multiple sinks/stoves so cooking was never a problem. The kitchen also has bowls, utensils, pans, ect so no need to bring your own. There is a beautiful patio area so we also didn't use the chairs that we had brought. Overall I wish that the campground had a filtered water/ice station, but there was clean tap water that you could use if you needed to refill your water bottles. The campground is also has a beautiful view, but it's close to a road, so it doesn't have the typical off the grid vibe we usually go for. Overall, I would happily stay here again, especially for only $25 a night. read more
