We stayed here over the weekend for some camping, and to experience two nearby national parks. This review is for the camping areas: We stayed at T06 which is near the creek. The facility itself is great: lots of space, clean bathrooms and showers, and tap water supply between each two camp areas. Evan (Kevin?) was also very courteous and came to check in us each day. For T06 Great shade but you will require an extra canopy to cover the front area that includes picnic tables, otherwise you are going to fry or get hit hard by random thunderstorms (yes it happened to us just now). Note there are insects out here that can be an annoyance for some. Bring extra bug spray or raid (if needed for ants), because they might crowd in certain areas. Grills are old school. Recommend you bring your own. read more

The only good thing about this camp ground was the clean bathrooms. I would recommend staying anywhere else is Moab rather than this place. Dumpster pick up at 6 am, dogs barking constantly, if you're looking for a peaceful camp site to enjoy Moab I definitely wouldn't stay here. read more

I'm giving this RV Park/Campground 4 stars based on the other RV Parks in Moab. Pack Creek Campground is not on the main highway and it is not a big cement pad parking lot as are the other RV Parks we saw. Rustic is the word I'd use to describe it. As we drove in and passed through the neighborhood on our way to the RV park, we weren't sure what we were going to find. We passed what looked like a junkyard, and then drove past a trailer park to get to the campground. But once we pulled in, we felt lucky to have ended up here. We checked in; staff was friendly. The sites are really close together, and you share the small space between sites with your neighbor. But there are full hookups for RV sites, a laundry room, a play structure for kids, and a fenced area for dogs. There also is a small creek (Pack Creek) that runs through the campground. There are trees, and the pads are dirt, not cement. There are a few dilapidated trailers that appear to be permanent residences, but we stayed there a week and were not bothered. The dusk to dawn quiet hours are enforced; and staff was present and working around the park all day, every day. If you like RV Parks that are neat, tidy, and cement, this is not the park for you. If you like more of a rustic camping experience, you should check this place out. read more

Pack Creek Campground is off the beaten path, so is absolutely quiet. The restrooms, showers, and laundry were spotless. The Wifi was fabulous - we could even stream TV off of it while the park was nearly full. The RV sites are a little squeezed in, but no more so than the more expensive concrete parking lot RV parks on the main highway. This is a real gem and we'll always be staying here on our trips to Moab. read more

Don't let your first impressions scare yo off - this place is a gem. It's a little brown and crisp looking but it's clean, Evan (the campground manager) is friendly, approachable, and does what he can to make your stay comfortable. We had a tent site and it came with a picnic table, trash can, water hose, fire grill, and what looks like a fire pit. I will admit that (at first) I wasn't happy with the campground and wanted to find someplace else to stay but we ended up staying and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. One thing I found impressive is how clean the bathrooms/showers were. Our trash can was emptied every day and even though they were short-staffed, you see the staff working hard to make the campgrounds look as good as they can. read more

This is the place if you are looking for a rustic and quiet campground in Moab, You get running creek with mature tree covering on most sites. The facility is located a little far from town center; you will not hear the tire humming noise from Hwy 191. The manager is very friendly and helpful. Bathroom and laundry area are heated, so we were very pleased. If you are tent camping, note that the moisture from the creek cools the creek-side tent site area significantly. This will be a great escape from the hot summer during the day, but at night it can bring the temperature about 10 degree cooler. Overall this is a great campground. We will definitely be back. read more

Totally loved this place. If you are an avid camper, this place is among the nicer places. Clean bathrooms, seemed to be cleaned daily. The showers have great water pressure and never once did the hot water run out. Couple that with included firepit, lunch bench, and serene meadow by the creek, i would call it glamping! (Glamorous camping) Met Evan, the groundskeeper/manager and he was very friendly and shared some history on the area, including information about the local indians, arches national park, deadhorse state park and canyonlands national park, which everything is within 15-45 minutes away from the campgrounds! Gem hidden away! We were hesitant about this place, but over Memorial Day weekend we did not realize how packed Moab gets and had no where else to stay. After calling around and leaving messages, we were lucky that the staff was nice enough to pair us with another group in the same situation and let us split a group spot and handled everything for us separately and conveniently. This was already a plus for us and good start to an otherwise nervous day driving into Moab. This place is tucked away off the freeway, it was quiet, the restrooms and facilities were super clean. Staff was helpful and attentive to any questions or needs. Yes it is behind a trailer park area, but be realistic, you are camping/rving. The place was quiet and we were not bothered at all by that area, nor were we worried about the people that lived there. We drove by other places with better reviews and were appalled at the rationale of why they were better. They were near the freeway with no shade and awful locations. Avoid ANY place that is earshot from the 191, which is loud and busy. It seems in general with most reviews RV people have different views and expectation than tent campers. As an RVer or Camper I would have still chosen this place over others. In the end we had no choice of where to stay, and we were super happy we lucked out with this place. Having prebooked my campsite through the organization hosting a fairly large event, I was looking forward to relaxing with my friends after a long day on the road through all kinds of terrible weather. Things didn't quite work out as planned. In retrospect, it seems Pack Creek had no issue in taking our money to reserve a very large portion of the campground for our group, knowing full well it was a motorcycle event... yet deemed our tame and respectful conduct to be a disturbance warranting eviction without refund. Of course, it being Memorial Day weekend, they undoubtedly had no problem rebooking most if not all of the sites that we'd already paid for. Thankfully, the Sheriff saw no wrongdoing on our group's part and was kind enough to call in a favor with a friend of his to get us a large campsite elsewhere. Not only that, the second site was a world of difference -- quiet country road access, iconic rock walls on two sides, and no fussy neighbors to get bent out of shape when *God forbid* campers want to hang out around a campfire and share stories. I've lived on my motorcycle for months at a time, riding all over the country and never before have I been treated so poorly and with such contempt. In summary, Pack Creek is a terrible campground in an area of our country known worldwide for its camping experiences. Furthermore, it's run by shady management that won't hesitate to rip you off. Terrible place to camp! We planned a large group to come camp months in advance and were kicked out after one night without a refund. We were essentially scammed. The "rules" in the camp are ridiculous and enforced to a fault. "Quiet time" is 9:00 which, to them, means go to bed and don't make any noises. We were simply talking around campfires after 9:00 and apparently that warranted the boot from Pack Creek. Tons of live-in campers who have been there for years and aren't welcoming to outside campers litter the place and form another "police" force who tattle to management over anything they don't particularly like. We were lied to, robbed, and kicked to the curb. Pack Creek is just awful. read more

Totally love this place. It's not the nicest park in town but very clean and the staff is amazing! We've been here multiple times and ALWAYS stay here when in Moab. They offer an awesome military discount and treat everyone like they you are the most important guest they have. Bathrooms are very clean and there's tons of hot water for your post ride/hike shower. You will love it here, unless you are a snob then go somewhere else. read more

Like many others, we were skeptical when we pulled in here and saw the condition of the neighborhood and the trailer park. However, I'm glad we gave it a chance. The tent area is actually pretty great - we chose to set up down by the creek, which was a nice option to have. Each site has a charcoal grill, a picnic table, and a fire pit. The bathrooms were clean and the place was quiet after dark, which is more than I can say for any of the other places we camped in UT. Didn't realize just how far it was from the center of town and from Arches, took us about 20 minutes to get to the park entrance, but not a big deal. read more

Awesome place to stay when visiting Moab! Workers are all inviting and friendly. Have great advice on local hidden gems. Their bathrooms are immaculate! Heated up nice and warm so you don't freeze in those fall/winter months. Also their regular showers (no pushing a button that only keeps the water on for 2 minutes). Cheapest ice in town (that's a big thing for me). Free dump station, cheap laundry and if you only need a shower they only charge $4. I recommend this place to everyone headed towards Moab. read more

We stayed with a big group over Memorial Day weekend. The campground was oversold and when we arrived at 9PM after 18 hours of driving, we were informed that someone from the group had received a noise complaint at around 4PM. There was an officer at the campground and he said he was not sure why he was called out and that the camp site was very quiet. The next morning the officer came back and let the 80 or so of us know that we were being given the boot from the site host and he would help find us another camp ground. We were not offered a refund but luckily the new campground was the best part of our trip. I've camped at literally hundreds of campgrounds in almost every state in the US and Pack Creek will always be one of the absolute worst I have been to. It is surrounded by trailer parks and is nowhere near any sort of scenery. Lastly, I want to mention this is the first negative review I've ever written bout any establishment. It really was that bad. Do yourself a big favor and stay somewhere more scenic and away from the trailer park like Kane Springs. You will not regret it. read more

Sites too small and cramped for 5th wheels over 27 feet. Park was dirty, limbs not trimmed and bathrooms were dirty and need remodeling . Crazy guy working there who argued with us regarding the site and conditions. Lucky for us we left before hooking up. read more

We had a great stay here! It's a simpler campground compared to the others in Moab. It's not fancy. It's a campground. They have electricity outlets in the bathroom and by the shed (in case you need to charge your camera and phone batteries). Bring a power strip. There is a small playground for kids. You have your basic necessities here like potable water, clean bathrooms, hot showers with good water pressure, fire pit, picnic table, firewood and ice for sale. I especially loved that we could set up our tents besides the creek below our reserved tent site and have plenty of usable campground space above on our reserved tent site. The campers and RV-ers were all super friendly and chill here. The manager Evan was very helpful, friendly and easy going. He was monitoring to keep the grounds clean and he stopped and spoke with us before leaving which we enjoyed. The campground is 15 minutes aways from Arches National Park and 45 minutes away from Canyonlands National Park. On top of that, after researching for campsites in Moab, this has one of the best prices! When I come back to Moab, I'm coming back here! read more

This place is a hidden gem! We stayed in T-01 (tent site) along a running creek on green grass shaded by beautiful trees. It was private enough to feel like we had the place to ourselves, but the bath house/laundry facility were 50 ft. from the car. There was a picnic table, parking space, fire pit, and potable water source specific to each site. It was refreshing to have access to a flushing toilet, hot water, and wireless Internet! Evan, the manager, was very informative and hospitable, and suggested some great restaurants in Moab. We plan on camping here again in the fall. read more

This is the worst campsite I have ever been to. It is located in a trailer park in a not so scenic part of town. Claims to be a family friendly place, but the trailer park residents were drunk and fighting into the early morning hours. If I had children, I would not bring them here. The bathrooms were being remodeled, but were still disgusting aside from the work debri. There are WAY better places to stay in Moab for a great experience that are also a lot cheaper. read more

I'm only speaking as to the tent spaces. Tenting we were able to set up our tent next to the creek and sit down by it. The bathrooms and showers were always clean as was the laundry area. Looked like the owner had made attempts to keep the place up. Every spot had a nice new garbage can as well as a brush to clean the grill with. Garbage was picked up daily. The place isn't on the main drag so if you can't get a spot in the National Park it might be your best bet. Another possibility is the blm horse thief campground on Rt 313. Has 56 sites and some have shade. Happy trails! Ps the campground attendant works hard to make your stay positive. read more

The new manager is wonderful. I found this campground online... It had some good reviews, so I decided to book the weeks Ed of easter. When I showed up, I realized I didn't register (I'm an idiot and didn't click reserve, 100% my fault). Even after that, and it being jeep safari as well as Easter weekend, he still found a place for us! (He was booked full might I add). He even let my girlfriend and I borrow a book full of hikes to look at and gave us advice of fun things to do. They went above and beyond to make our trip wonderful! Anyone who has a chance should definitely stay here! read more

wow. we came across the website of this "campground" as we were researching places to stay while we explored Moab. they website makes it look clean and welcoming. as soon as we drove in, we realized we had been misled big time. Pack Creek "Campground" is actually a trailer park. and not even a nice one. the campsites were located along the outer perimeter, and the RV sites were down the middle. at least 90% of the RV sites were inhabited by ramshackle RV and old converted school buses. People were coming and going at all hours of the day and night. The "creek" was a big joke as well. as soon as we got past the trailer park aspect of our campground, we decided to check out the little creek down below the campsites. talk about disgusting! there were old tires and bags of something in the water. im sure at one time it may have been a nice little creek, but now it looks like a polluted cesspool. i would not recommend letting your children or dogs play in that water! the fire wood bundles at the front kiosk were $5 for about 5 or 6 little pieces of wood. but the picnic tables were nice, and the bathrooms were relatively clean. Bottom line, unless you enjoy being surrounded by rundown trailers and converted school buses with tarps over the windows, dogs running off leash, and loud and rowdy traffic all day and night, i highly suggest you stay somewhere else. read more

This was the first campground stay for my family. I have to say I read through some of these negative reviews and glad I have an open mind. Manager was friendly, knowledgeable and very pleasant as were the rest of the staff members there. They have a very high respect for veterans and their families including pets. Fantastic bathrooms! AND I AM VERY PICKY about restrooms... While yes the grounds are tucked behind a trailer park... it had plenty of natural shade and open areas for tents and while we were there the trailer tenants were quiet and respectful. We were lucky and got a site that had a large open area for a "yard". If your idea of a camp ground in a desert location is grass, cool, quiet and not sandy, this is not for you. Find a hotel. If you're really a camper then you will likely like this place. It's not perfect but honestly what is when it comes to camping in a community environment. It offers full hook ups for trailer camping and several pretty nice tent spots. Some may ask if I have I praise for this place why not 5 stars... well because with all places you will find something you don't like. Personally I would have set the place up different but that is my bad habit with things. We intend on returning here at least 3 more times in the next year or two as we weren't able to get everything we wanted to do done. read more

We really enjoyed this campsite. It was clean, the staff was great. The bathrooms were nice, and clean. Hot showers were great after hiking all day. The kids loved the playground, and fishing in the creek just behind the tent sites. We set our ten up in the area just next to our designated parking spot, but next time we will set it up down by the creek. With each tent site, you have a ton of designated space! read more

I was very happy with our campground choice. *off the beaten path, so no noise from busy roads (but also meant it wasn't straightforward to find. however, directions provided by site were clear and easy to follow) *park manager was helpful and friendly. we had originally reserved 2 sites because i wasn't sure 1 would be enough. when i realized one would be enough, they were happy to cancel the 2nd site and i got some money back! *LOTS of trees for tent camping! you're able to camp right down by the river, which was nice to listen to and had lots of trees for shade *tent sites seems small, but you're able to put your tents right by the creek, which had plenty of space! *bathrooms were kept clean. as nice as you can expect for camping! *wifi was available and since our site was right by the bathrooms, the signal was good. i suspect it wasn't as good further away. *there are a lot of long term campers set up, that seemed pretty permanent, but everything was clean and neat. *ice and firewood available on site for fair prices. which was nice since we were about 10 minutes from town, so if you forgot or needed extra, it was there! *each site had a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table, and a bench of some sort *small playground for kids, plus a little pavilion with tables for group picnics, which was also equipped with misters! *dog friendly! (thought i did see some dog poop that wasn't picked up...) Overall, highly, highly recommend and would stay there again if i ever came back! read more

We never even made it to the park! Their communication was lacking greatly! We called this weekend to try and get a spot for a vacation two weeks from now, and were told that we had to submit an inquiry, including card information, and then they would call or email to tell us if we had a spot. A phone call never came, let alone an email. So, we called somewhere else and were able to find a spot. We tried to call Pack Creek back, but they told us to wait for the email. A day later, the email never came but we were still charged $70. We called the grounds back and the clerk who answered the phone was rude from the get go. He insisted that we would still be charged a cancellation fee even though we were cancelling less than 24 hours later. An argument ensued for over 20 minutes and the man ended the conversation with "I am glad you will be staying somewhere else". This center is completely lacking in organization and in customer service. He gave Utah tourism a bad name and we live here! Utterly ridiculous! read more
