Here's the good stuff, I scored a stellar savings because they were running a current rate the day I went in. Always check both online and in-person, the office staff might have a special going that isn't listed. It's not permanent, but it's a sweet little temporary perk. My experience started with a phone call, shout-out to Colton (or Caleb? either way, Customer Service MVP), who explained everything like I was booking a penthouse instead of a storage unit. When I showed up a few days early, there was a tiny hiccup (we'll blame Mercury), but by the end, I was a part of the Tempe Choice family. Access hours are great (6 a.m.-10 p.m.), it's secure, clean, and easy to pull up, unload, and move on with your day. So yeah... I'm happy, my stuff's happy, and if they ever add climate control, this'll be an easy five stars. Bonus points for saving me a few bucks in the process.

I have a mild disability, and when I asked one of the staff about carts, they were extremely rude to me and said "Well, just carry your stuff then." Wtf Apparently the carts were stolen months ago but they never replaced them. Just stuck up a note. Its been three months. ‍ Parking here is a nightmare. There's never enough spots. The place used to be clean but lately I've noticed strong foul odors and COCKROACHES. I saw quite a few of them in the hallways and have since found bugs in my storage unit. I'm paying way too much to have to deal with that. I'm happy I'm moving out. This place is a mess, and a constant source of frustration. My husband was driving a van to pick up and close out our unit. The gate was open, so he drove in. She chased us down in her golf cart, to inform us that we had violated the rules and should've entered our code. We apologized and proceeded to empty our the few things in our unit. When I asked the procedure for closing out the unit, she fired a bunch of questions at me, to see if I had gone through the proper steps. I told her I didn't know the procedure as we just decided to close out the unit that day. That's why I was asking what the procedure was. She made us stop what we were doing and go put in the code for the gate. Then she said to stop in the office on our way out. She never explained the procedure. She informed us that it's all in the contract and again was unbelievably rude. We signed the paperwork and couldn't get out of there fast enough!!

Made offload (working alone) much more difficult than a level unit (like avail on other rows). Major hassle trying to brace dolley with lifting heavy stuff down to it. Then bending down to lift dolley over 2" high lip at entrance of unit. NOT DISCLOSED. 3. You could offer discounts on that row and plenty people will go for it. I would not as I'm working alone. 4. Their were avail units on level ground. Instead of renting them first then the units with a hill (and floodwater) the mgr told me the automated system picks the units to be rented. 5. After doing their survey they had mgr contact me and offer to ket me move. HOW DOES GOING THRU THE HASSLE OF OFFLOADING ON A HILL NOW INSTEAD OF WHEN I MOVE OUT HELP? INSTEAD I'D HAVE TO RENT A TRAILER, DO AN ADDITIONAL LOAD UP AND OFFLOAD. WHY NOT OFFER ME A FREE MONTH! TRUST ME I'D RATHER PAY AND HAVE BEEN PUT IN A LEVEL UNIT WITHOUT FLOOD WATER IN FRONT. 8. There were some others that were not great, but were resolved quickly. I found that interacting in person vs over the phone worked better to resolve any questions that I had, as well as when there was a rent increase, I worked with the managers and they worked with me to ensure I was a happy customer. I can say that I would never trust my things to be stored anywhere else, and I loved that the unit was always climate controlled, things were safe, the area was clean 95% of the time (yes there's room to improve), but on the whole, this spot is where you should store things if you're in need of extra room. Highly recommended and if I ever need a space again, I'll be back to Cubesmart at 810 S. McClintock in Tempe.
