They nickel and dime you. Snacks are way too expensive. Firm seats. The airline is cheap for a reason. A bag of candy is like $8-10.

Ask the Community - Sun Country Airlines

Sun country airlines row 3C is that premium or 1st class and is there someone sitting between me and 3A the window? It shows that there is not a seat there. but I'm not sure never flew on this airline before. LAS to SJD nonstop

Hey everyone. Are all bags charged for whether it be carry on or to be stored away?

When we traveled in September, checked bags were $20 (prepaid) but carry ons were $30. When I went to print my boarding pass, they changed the carry on price to $15. Doesn't make sense--

Could I bring a backpack for my one personal item?

2019 policy updated not for the better. Only 1 personal item allowed free of charge, must read policy for size/type restrictions. Basically only a small backpack or briefcase meets the size restrictions. Carryon now cost and the price depends on…

We are flying to Cancun in April 2018. I am confused on the size of the carry on we can bring. Our carry ons are the ones on wheels we purchased at Wal Mart. Sizes are 25x16x9 and 24x16x11.4. Are these ok to fit on the overhead compartment? Thanks

The 24x16x11 is gonna be a little too big.

Does Sun Country offer First Class on all of their flights for an additionsl $100.00?

No it vary slightly depending on the demand. Example Tues and wed. Can go around 90...where a Friday can go for 150...but I rarely ever see it more or less.

So many parts of AA to love and to hate. At this point I don't check the departure board, I check whether the sun still rises in the east, because both are equally certain and only one is on time. I paid extra for the "premium" route, assuming premium meant something, like leaving when the ticket says. Turns out it's just a surcharge for being delayed in a nicer font. In this life only three things are guaranteed: death, taxes, and my AA flight sitting on the tarmac while someone apologizes into a microphone. A special mention for Paul at MSP Terminal 1, who met my calm concerns with a level of sass that deserves its own frequent flyer program. Customer service is supposed to de-escalate - you escalated. With flair. Two stars for the sheer reliability of the unreliability -- minus the rest for Paul, the delays, and the audacity of the word "premium." I'll fly them again, of course. Not by choice. I've just lost all faith that any other outcome exists.

That means some maintenance person checked it off their checklist without actually checking to see if the battery was operational. First, they were going to replace the battery, and then they decided to fly a plane from Newark to replace this one. Their fares are very low because you have to pay al-a-cart for everything such as bags, food and drinks, ect. however the airline staff were the most friendly that I have seen in a very long time! Check-in process: you can check in on your phone and check your bag for no cost or you can print your tickets at the airport which I believe costs 10 dollars each. This was a very quick and easy process. Also for checked bags they cannot be over 40 lbs or you will get charged extra, but they have scales before you get in line that are all the same weight measurements as the one by the bag check people. Boarding: this was a very quick and easy process they called the boarding zones and we got on the plane. On the flight: the only thing bad was one of the lavatories was out of paper towels but they had water in them (someone said they didn't) the seats don't recline but I prefer this as I hate people leaning in my lap. They come through for drink and snack services the only difference is you have to pay for soft drinks and water too but they do have deal bundles where you save money which is nice. Overall I really enjoyed my experience with spirit and will fly with them again and recommend them to others.

Extremely disappointing experience with Frontier Airlines at MSP Airport on June 20, 2026…read more I went to the ticket counter specifically to purchase tickets in person after confirming on Frontier's website that airport ticket purchases are allowed. I even brought my 65-year-old mother with me for this purpose. To our surprise, the agents refused to sell us tickets and claimed that they had stopped doing so within the last week due to concerns involving sex trafficking. We were also told that agents have the right to refuse ticket sales. No specific reason was given for denying us service, and neither of us was doing anything suspicious. What makes this especially frustrating is that Frontier's own website clearly states that tickets can be purchased at the airport. If the policy has changed, the company should update its website instead of forcing customers to make unnecessary trips and then providing contradictory explanations. Customers deserve clear, consistent policies and respectful treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at MSP.

When my partner and I went to board our flight MSP to DEN departing at 10:15 am, on June 26th we…read morewere informed that we did not have seats. They put us in line to the ticket agent who informed us that they had downsized the plane and 20 people would be denied boarding. They handed us a card that had a QR code that simply linked to their refund info page. They also handed us a sheet titled "Notice to Passengers if Denied Boarding" This described the DOT 14 CFR 250 rule which says "If the carrier does not offer alternate transportation that is planned to arrive at the airport of the passenger's destination or first stopover less that two hours after the planned arrival time of the passenger's original flight -- over 2 hours arrival delay: 400% of one-way fare (not to exceed $2,150) After handing us these two items, the ticket agent said he could get us on a flight leaving after 10pm that evening. Seeing that we would be compensated 400% of the ticket price as that was an almost 12-hour delay, as per the notice sheet they provided us, we declined that booking and opted to find another airline flying into Denver that day. The ticket agent told us we would receive an email from Frontier within the next 24 hrs about how to process that refund. We still have not received that email as of writing this on the 30th, four days later. We booked Southwest flight leaving at 1:20 pm. Later that evening, already in Denver, around 9pm, my partner received a notification that her flight to Denver would be boarding soon from MSP. We did not request to book this flight. Concerned, she called customer service and spent about 45 minutes trying to explain the situation and cancel that flight that she never booked. Finally, she was able to get them to cancel the 10pm flight, and they told her she would be refunded. Then, when she tried to do the same for my flight, they told us that I was marked as a no-show at the airport. I explained that was impossible, as I learned I was denied boarding from the agent at the gate who scanned my boarding pass. At the gate. In person. They said I needed to call the Denver airport and get whoever marked me as a no-show to remove that from my status before they could process my refund. When I first called the number they gave me , it was Frontier ticketing service, but as I moved through the automated menu as directed, I ended up with a message saying I was eligible for a medical alert device (I'm 44) and then it hung up on me. The next time I called it went right to the medical alert message and again hung up on me. The last time I called the number simply stopped working, Later that evening I tried the Frontier customer service line again and finally reaching a supervisor after negotiations with the initial representative, I explained the situation (this time there was no mention from them of my being a no-show, so have no idea what that was about). When he learned I had the notice to passengers form (14 CFR 250), he told me he'd process my $166.98 refund for the ticket, and send me a $250 voucher, but for the additional refund, I would need to share that notice via the refund form on their customer service page That form did not work (and still doesn't as of the writing of this). The next day when I called customer service to tell them their refund form wasn't working, this person told me I was ineligible for the 400% refund because I had accepted a $250 voucher. Their supervisor told me the same thing. I explained I had not asked for that voucher and that I didn't want it, and that the only reason we opted for a more expensive ticket was because we had been told by frontier we would receive a 400% refund as per 14 CFR 250. They can have the voucher back, I never want to fly with Frontier again anyway. They insisted there was nothing they could do. As of this point, we have no means of restitution. At every turn throughout this, they gaslit us, lied (about my being a no-show, about my "accepting" a voucher), insisted there were things they couldn't do until we kept pushing (even for simply the initial refund). The numbers and websites they gave us did not work, and in the end denied us the refund that the DOT requires they provide. I assume frontier just thinks people will give up, and so they have no problem doing things like overbooking 20 passengers who they assume will just eat that loss while they get that profit without having to pay the compensation that those people deserve. I know it's very privileged to be complaining about a bad experience flying, but this is the future of our society as corporations are held less and less accountable, they'll be able to take your money and there will be nothing you can do about it.

She completely, cheerfully, and carefully explained how long it takes to get from the arrival terminal to the departure terminal. Also, how to take care of the puppy along the way. THE FLIGHT - more importantly, I felt safe at all times! The attendants helped me by giving me the extra time to get settled that I needed. They said my carrier was 1" too big!!!! This is a bag I have flown with for a long time and it never got rejected. I still had Delta Airline tags on it. So I asked if they could rebook my flight and they said to call a number! Why they couldn't do it there is a mystery to me. When I called the number it gave me an hour and 7 minutes wait time. When they finally called back they offered me a flight that was leaving in 1 hour. It didn't give me time to find another dog bag so I went back home VERY FRUSTRATED. I could not get my money back since it was a saver ticket but they gave me a 50% off my next flight which I couldn't get for another week or so. They said that was the best they could do. So I ended up. Using another flight for the next day, Tuesday. Tuesday morning came and I was 90 minutes early. This time the line was long and not moving!!! Everyone's flight to Hawaii has been cancelled! I was in line for almost an hour and when I got to the counter, I didn't have enough time to make my flight! The lady at the counter said, "Next time, come at least 90 minutes early." And now all of a sudden they could put me on another flight! And then she said to call the "number" to put my dog on the reservation. So I got out of line to call the number and waited for 40 minutes on the phone. I finally got my dog on the reservation, went to the counter and got my boarding pass. I barely made it to the flight I again got rescheduled on. Needless to say, I have never been treated so badly at any airline!!!! The people at the counter treated us like cattle! I will get the name of one particular lady there who looks like she is from the islands! She had no care in the world when she told me "You need to get to the other line." As she pointed with her thumb with no expression on her face! She was the same person who said, "Your dog can't get on the plane! So get another bag." I have kept my composure and was very nice to all of them during this 2 day ordeal, Never once complaining. I certainly did not deserve to be treated the way they treated me. I have never been treated so rudely by any other airline in my entire life! I will never fly Alaska again! There should be a zero rating!
