Waited in line for 30 minutes just to check a bag because their machines weren't working. They had the nerve to be rude about it too.

Horrible airline. All kinds of delays and waited 45 minutes for them at baggage claim.

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again..

American Airlines - American Airlines operations at PHX.

American Airlines

I have flown with American Airlines several times over the course of my life…read more I started out doing flights with US Airways from Minneapolis and connecting somewhere else in Phoenix, and when US Airways and American Airlines merged in 2016 I continued with American, though Delta Air Lines is usually my first choice due to me living in one of their fortress hubs. All of my experience with AA has been good, all the employees have been kind, and easy to work with. Flights have had very minimal delays, no one was rude, not once was I left stranded. AA gets kind of a bad rap in the industry, but I feel they actually are quite good. My one little dislike about them is service. For instance, I've gone transpacific on all three major US carriers, Delta, American, and United. I can't remember the United one as well as that was over 10 years ago, but on Delta, they came around with drinks and snacks every hour on the five hour flight from LAX to Kahului (OGG). I did a flight from Phoenix to Kahului with AA, and they came around once for the six hour segment. Even on shorter flights, Delta will come around 2 to 3 times, but AA it's all just once. Also the crew sort of "disappear" on AA after service. They head off the the galley with the curtains shut and you never see them till the arrival preparations. However, all of them have been friendly, and I was able to have many meaningful conversations with employees across the board on AA. All of them are highly skilled and knowledgeable. I've even had good customer service regarding booking issues! I am delighted to fly with American Airlines anytime I can. I find that they also tend to have better fares than most other airlines, especially even operating out of airports that are not their hubs. AA is an amazing airline, and I am fortunate to fly with them.

This time to save 1 hour of time we decided to take American. After the shitshow from American Airlines, we missed our flight. Americant Airlines is unbelievable. We arrived at the airport, and the baggage tag printer indicated that we could not print our baggage tag, so we were instructed to wait in line. Turns out the line was the wrong line so then we were told to wait in another line. The line was slow as molasses. One lady said she was in line just to get a baggage tag for over 1 hour and 30 min. We waited about the same amount of time, and we missed our flight. In that amount of time, they helped less than 15 people print baggage tags. How can you be so slow? Well, the lady was like, " Next time come 3 to 4 hours before. Also, TSA times were like 10 minutes, and they were cranking out hundreds of people. They then offered us a new flight that arrived in Savannah at 10pm I was like he'll no. I was like, I'm not going to lose a day because you all told us to stand in a lane, then move to another lane, and miss our flight. The old lady was like, " No refunds and so we took it and sat down, and I made some calls. So I made some calls and managed to get my trip credits that are useless because I refuse to fly with this airline again and booked a Delta flight and a Delta flight, and we ended up 1 hour later than our normal time. The sad part is we had to check luggage and had 1 hour 30 minutes till boarding, and the Delta line was from Delta all the way to American Airlines. Like 500 people vs Americans 30 people that took 1h 30m. We were at the end of the Delta line and in 37 minutes we were able to go through and drop off our bags and go through TSA. Now tell me where the problem is. Also, to point out, American had one person doing bag printing for regular people in America, 1 person doing it for first class, and occasionally helping, and a bunch of other people sitting around doing nothing, waiting for the 1 person to print off luggage tags because their systems kept failing or were not working. You would think any terminal should be able to print but not just one. Just as everyone is saying online, the customer service is a joke. We were not the only people who missed our flights because of the line confusion and people sitting around, and their response was basically spend your whole day at the airport because it's the holidays. While other airlines like Delta seem to be cranking out hundreds in less than an hour. The least American can do is give me my money back not no flight credit to leave me stranded again or to get mistreated or get me late to my location. #americanairlines #deltaairlines

Below is my reply: Dear Erik, How delightful to receive your invitation to bask in Delta's world-class customer experience! Allow me to extend a reciprocal invite: you and your C-suite cohorts should grace us with your presence in MSP's departure area. Come witness the utter chaos and confusion your loyal, paying customers endure amid the byzantine "self-serve" check-in and baggage drop-off labyrinth. It's positively exhilarating - like a real-life escape room, but with lost luggage as the prize. To truly empathize, might I suggest you and your executive team generously trim your pay packages by a tiny fraction? The savings could fund a few more front-line workers to guide the bewildered masses through this so-called process. Or better yet, contract with an organization that actually has a track record of herding hundreds - nay, thousands - of paying customers through an organized, understandable check-in system. You know, one where people don't wander aimlessly amid hordes of fellow travelers, deciphering what to do first, second, and third before the always-fun TSA lines (bless their defined queues). It is quite apparent that Delta's business model is to maximize profits at the expense of its customers - the very source of its revenue. What other explanation can there be for obscenely high ticket prices, 12 different seating price structures, and a choice of highly-processed junk food "snacks" on a five-hour international flight? Eagerly awaiting your visit,

My new May flight got cancelled so I called customer service and they assured me I would get my full $1700 refund back in 4-6 weeks. 8 weeks passed and I still didn't receive my refund so I called back and they told me I should expect my $1000 refund in 8-10 weeks. I told them why only $1000, and without providing any reason (no matter how many times I asked for a reason) they said they could only refund the initial cost of my ticket. After literally 45 minutes of yelling, they finally agreed to file a refund request for the remaining $700. I called the next week to check the status of both refund, and they tell me that BOTH refunds were still in the initial phase of the refund process and it could take 10-14 weeks...Honestly I don't think I am going to ever see that money again. Every conversation I have with customer service is super sketchy and they don't give you answers or reasons for anything, and every agent you speak to gives you conflicting information. At this point, I am seriously thinking of getting a lawyer involved.

On this trip, my flight coming into MSP was on time. My current flight home is delayed by 20 minutes. I can't tell whether it's a mechanical or weather-related issue. It is snowing, but it's light.
