    Somewhere between MSP and Chicago

    My flight to Anchorage originated with Minneapolis to Chicago then Alaska Airlines from Chicago to Anchorage. This was a short little over an hour flight. I checked my bag and it made it to Anchorage. I also let them assign my seat and as a nice surprise, I got exit seating! They give a full can of pop and biscoff cookies. No compaints.

    I have flown with American Airlines several times over the course of my life. I started out doing flights with US Airways from Minneapolis and connecting somewhere else in Phoenix, and when US Airways and American Airlines merged in 2016 I continued with American, though Delta Air Lines is usually my first choice due to me living in one of their fortress hubs. All of my experience with AA has been good, all the employees have been kind, and easy to work with. Flights have had very minimal delays, no one was rude, not once was I left stranded. AA gets kind of a bad rap in the industry, but I feel they actually are quite good. My one little dislike about them is service. For instance, I've gone transpacific on all three major US carriers, Delta, American, and United. I can't remember the United one as well as that was over 10 years ago, but on Delta, they came around with drinks and snacks every hour on the five hour flight from LAX to Kahului (OGG). I did a flight from Phoenix to Kahului with AA, and they came around once for the six hour segment. Even on shorter flights, Delta will come around 2 to 3 times, but AA it's all just once. Also the crew sort of "disappear" on AA after service. They head off the the galley with the curtains shut and you never see them till the arrival preparations. However, all of them have been friendly, and I was able to have many meaningful conversations with employees across the board on AA. All of them are highly skilled and knowledgeable. I've even had good customer service regarding booking issues! I am delighted to fly with American Airlines anytime I can. I find that they also tend to have better fares than most other airlines, especially even operating out of airports that are not their hubs. AA is an amazing airline, and I am fortunate to fly with them.

    Okay, i purposely waited until i completed my there and back flight with AA. My experience GOING to Chicago was fabulous. I couldn't locate my "recorder" number since it isn't listed that way on the email and asked an associate to assist me. He went over and beyond with his customer service. Very helpful and kind, professional and personable. The gentleman who assisted me with checking my bag was also very helpful and he was cute too... so that helped at 5am ish. LOL The airplane ti's self had cushy seats and we watched free movies. Coming BACK from Chicago was HORRIBLE! My flight was delayed 5x! I was scheduled to leave at 740pm Sunday evening, but we didn't leave until after 1am early Monday morning. *insert eye roll* The girl at the counter had no empathy and was not very friendly and seemed irritated with me for asking if they planned on cancelling the fligh upon their 3x delaying the flight. I had no attitude, but was quite ready to board the plan. Her snarky response made me stare at her, like a raging mother ready to snatch a kid up, but the lady that I am, kept my mouth shut and i stared... without blinking... until she was uncomfortable and I slowly walked away. By the 5th time delaying the flight and a shift change and 3 gate switches, the last lady finally gave us our first apology for the delay. I did send AA an email complaint wand was provided a $100 voucher, but I'm still not happy.

    The AA2688 and AA2041 has the worst flight attendant. Rude and not helpful at all. The whole experience was so bad

This year, an unexpected family medical event required me to travel sooner than planned. I called in to make changes to my ticket, and while Miss Heidy wasn't able to waive the fare difference, however she went above and beyond to help. She patiently walked me through options, including combining our family's Sun Country rewards points to make the new ticket more affordable. That level of understanding and customer care means so much. Especially during stressful times. Thank you, Sun Country (and Miss Heiydi!), for continuing to make travel between my two homes a little easier and a lot more personal.

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again. Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!!

First, they were going to replace the battery, and then they decided to fly a plane from Newark to replace this one. It results in what they say will be a four hour delay, but the other passengers and I are guessing it will be closer to five hours. I haven't flown Spirit for years. Their fares are very low because you have to pay al-a-cart for everything such as bags, food and drinks, ect. however the airline staff were the most friendly that I have seen in a very long time! Check-in process: you can check in on your phone and check your bag for no cost or you can print your tickets at the airport which I believe costs 10 dollars each. This was a very quick and easy process. Also for checked bags they cannot be over 40 lbs or you will get charged extra, but they have scales before you get in line that are all the same weight measurements as the one by the bag check people. Boarding: this was a very quick and easy process they called the boarding zones and we got on the plane. On the flight: the only thing bad was one of the lavatories was out of paper towels but they had water in them (someone said they didn't) the seats don't recline but I prefer this as I hate people leaning in my lap. They come through for drink and snack services the only difference is you have to pay for soft drinks and water too but they do have deal bundles where you save money which is nice. Overall I really enjoyed my experience with spirit and will fly with them again and recommend them to others.

I was pleasantly surprised to so quickly get in touch with such a pleasant customer service agent! She completely, cheerfully, and carefully explained how long it takes to get from the arrival terminal to the departure terminal. Also, how to take care of the puppy along the way. THE FLIGHT - more importantly, I felt safe at all times! The attendants helped me by giving me the extra time to get settled that I needed. Seats were big enough that I did NOT feel like the cream in an Oreo! One leg of my journey was a commuter plane so a roller bag carry on was a bit big. But everyone expected it. The attendants knew how to help me sort out a couple items so we got it to work quickly and easily. My go to airline if they go to where I need.

I recently broke my neck and had to cancel and upcoming trip to Hawaii. I had used the companion fair for my husband's ticket. Since I am in a neck brace, I had to cancel the trip, but I want to go in a few months once I am healed. To my surprise when I cancelled my ticket, I do not get the companion ticket back! I spoke to 2 people on the phone that kept saying I had used it already! But I didn't use it I cancelled the trip! I will use any miles I have with them and cancel my card and never fly them again. I have been very loyal even when a plane door popped off planes in my hometown. This is a poor excuse for customer service and really kicking someone while they are down.
