I tend to fly Air Canada (AC) to and from Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) Airport. AC and Star Alliance airlines are at Lindbergh terminal, which is terminal 1.
The check-in counter opens roughly two hours before an AC flight departs. You often see United staff hop over to check in AC customers.
I am fortunate to have dealt with friendly, courteous staff when I check in. No complaints.
I do find that recent AC flights that I've flown tend to be delayed. On this trip, my flight coming into MSP was on time. My current flight home is delayed by 20 minutes. I can't tell whether it's a mechanical or weather-related issue. It is snowing, but it's light.
AC flights arrive and fly out of concourse E. It's fairly close to security and the shopping area.
I've been fortunate to have my baggage fee waived now and again. I've also had an upgrade to business class here and there. It's cool and I don't take it for granted.
I likely have a more positive outlook when my flight is delayed because I can shop and browse at MSP. The woman behind me isn't pleased at all right now. Sadly, I have to hear her grumblings.
AC is good communicating through e-mail and text messages when flights are delayed. So are travellers.
I like AC, despite the current delay.
