I've had consistently good experiences at Sun City Nails. They get me in on time, everyone is very polite, and my nails always come out looking beautiful. They do a really solid job with fills and standard nail services, and the salon runs in a way that feels organized and professional. I never feel rushed, and the overall experience is always pleasant. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that some of the more specialized designs didn't turn out quite as well when I tried them. Ombre and cat eye styles weren't their strongest. That said, for classic nails they do a great job and my nails always look great when I leave. I am visiting the area and this place was closest to where I'm staying. The reviews looked ok so I made an appt. As others have noted, I wasn't quoted a price and there were no prices listed. The interior looks dated and not especially clean. I went in for a pedicure. When I sat in the chair I kind of sunk in a hole. I'm pretty short so kept trying to readjust and get comfortable. Meanwhile an older gentleman sat in the next chair after me and the technician proceeded to cut his nails first. She didn't say anything to me which was odd but was ok because he just got his nails trimmed. However, when she was done with him and came to help me, she only changed one of her gloves. I should have said something, I know but I was sort of shocked and felt intimidated for some reason. After that I questioned the cleanliness of everything. The tools were not sealed so I'm not sure if they were clean or not. She cut my nails and filed them. She didn't ask me ANYTHING. Meanwhile other patrons were getting leg massages, their cuticles trimmed etc. The service I received was basic at best. Then she told me, my dry heels were an issue and said I needed something but I didn't understand what she was saying. I asked her to please repeat herself and she did but I still didn't catch it. She just shook her head at me and finished the pedicure. It was $30 for a subpar pedicure. Typically at home I pay $50 or more but I get a great pedicure that lasts for weeks and is a relaxing treat. I've come before for the best pedicure I've ever had and today I came for a fill and my husband got a pedicure. The attention to detail is off the chart amazing. They seem to always give the best quality services. This was my third time and this time I saw Phillip for my fill, my husband sees Teresa. I heard great things about this salon and I walked in on a Monday morning after calling in and was quickly able to get a simple pedicure appointment. I had the worst pedicure I've had in a long time and I've been getting them done for as long as I remember. They used the motorized filer to remove my old gel polish and did not cut my cuticles, nor file my toes--they were pretty much just cut (terribly), no cuticle oil or even lotion on my legs after pedicure as has been standard anywhere I've gone. This for $30. I always like to get callus remover and the add on price for this is $10. It was just applied on the back of my feet and callus and was so lazily taken off with a sponge, not the grater tool I've always had used on me. Everything about this pedicure was terrible and lazy. And not worth going back nor $40. It's not the $, it's the quality of pedicure and how I was treated that is why I gave this place 1 star. read more

The service was fine. (Mediocre) pretty positive the tools were not sterile. They didn't have the first color I wanted so I had to choose a different one. My step daughter picked a color and they gave her the wrong color but by the time I realized, it was too late. With all those issues, they still decided to make up prices at the end. I asked for two gel pedicures (basic) They priced my step daughter's correctly and upcharged mine. When I asked why was mine different they said hers was the kids price. $35 for kids toes when a basic pedicure with gel should be $35 (adult) but okay. (Prices were not listed anywhere and I'm sure it's for this exact reason) A lady who got a pedi with regular polish was charged $25 for reference. read more

In my opinion, there are way too many nail places around town, for this place to be acting the way they are. We were not greeted, I had an appointment at 5, they finally got me in passed that time, okay fine whatever. But it was so awkward sitting there, the guy doing my nails was not friendly or said a word to me. The lady doing my friends nails was looking at a picture she drew of her nails for a reference since she couldn't find one. Well her and the older lady that sits in the front on the phone, was talking about it laughing, like cool if your going to steal her ideas then at least explain, but no they talked their language and then left it at that. It was not a cleanliness environment, staff wasn't bitter and rushed our nails bc it was close to closing time, apparently.. will I return here ? Probably not. There is another place down the road, or in the same shopping center, that has better reviews, so I'll try them next. Save your money and go else where. This place isn't worth the awkwardness. It would have been five stars, but I had some concerns and if I resolve them to my satisfaction on my next visit, I will amend my review. The other day (a Friday) was my first visit to this salon in 10+ years. Back then it was a nightmare and I swore I would never go again; however, my elderly mom has gone twice recently and a colleague of mine goes there regularly and highly recommends them. I made an appointment for a pedicure, my first in like 3 years due to the pandemic, so it was long overdue. Like other customers have mentioned, I did find it odd that all of the nail technicians were using a nail drill on unpolished toenails, which I thought was generally used only to remove baked-on polish, but I could be wrong. So long as it does not damage my nails, I am fine with it (but it does tickle). If I confirm that this practice is just fine and does no damage to the nails, I will revisit my review. Another issue is instead of having the A/C on, the front and back doors were wide open and the flies were driving me nuts, but the employees didn't seem to be phased by it. This perturbed me, but like the elderly guy next to me said, "If the fly is my worst problem today, I can live with it." I believe the name of my technician was Pammy. She did a really good job on my 61-year-old feet. She did not rush. I had callous remover and a scrubber tool used because there was lots of dry skin. It made an improvement, but I still need to use a moisturizer every day to reduce the dry skin further. Can't really complain (but I will anyhow) since it was the most attention my feet have received in 3 years! I am a freak about sanitation, so was happy they use the "condoms" in the pedicure basins which is said to help prevent sharing bacteria from previous customers. However, all the tools used were hidden from my view (probably not on purpose), so that concerns me cuz who knows what they are using over and over again (many salons re-use disposable file tools which is a big no-no). When I go back for a manicure, I will be able to see better what their tool sanitation process is and will hopefully have more confidence in their sanitation practices. So they could be doing it 100% correct, but I just couldn't see it. I have been known to ask technicians in salons "is that new?" when they grab a long nail file or those smaller square ones, but I didn't do it this time. Definitely doing it next time. Many salons all over the nation are lax with this stuff because they want to save a buck, which is sad. I am not accusing this salon of anything untoward, but they should have the customer be able to see that they are getting tools from a conatiner marked "clean" so that the customer has confidence that things are safe and sane. Pammy did an excellent job with the overall pedicure and foot massage, which I needed bigly because my feet are often sore from my obesity, so that went well. And she was friendly enough. The other odd thing (to me, at least) is I decided after my pedicure that I may as well get a dip manicure, but when Pammy asked the owner/manager, he told her "no," that I would have to come back. There were hardly any customers in the salon. Shortly after I got to the lobby and was waiting for my rideshare, two customers came in (with no appointment) asking for pedicures, and they were told no problem. Shortly after that, another customer arrived. And then a third arrived, none of them with appointments but all were told "10 minutes." This has been my "to go place for a pedicure" for several years now. But not anymore. I made an appointment and even confirmed the time with the woman I believe is owner/wife. Show up the next day on time. No record of my appointment. Told me they would take care of me if I would wait for two people ahead. I had another appointment to go to, that's why you schedule an appointment in the first place. What upset me is the attitude... hers especially setting there listening to me talk to the guy. She did a horrible paint job on my toes and nails she redid it 3 x's and they look absolutely horrible. I had to leave for a meeting and do not live in the area I called and spoke to Leon and he has horrible customer service. I need a refund for this mess and he refused. Do not go here unless you want to catch something like fungus or covid since no one wears a mask either. I asked for a nail fill, and a rude young lady said to sit over there. I looked around to see a price list, but I need something to be posted. So I asked the technician how much to fill, and she became defensive, stating that I had to pay for everything, cut down broken nails, and everything. I said lady what is the problem I just asked for a price for a standard fill. The last thing I said was that I needed to go someplace else; at that point, she tried to be a little more accommodating. However, this was different from the place I was used to going. I could have chosen to leave, but I stayed, left her a tip, and decided to write a review. I just moved to Menifee and know there are a lot of nail salon out there that meet my standards, unfortunately this was not the one! I had to pay$10.00 for two designs that my child could have done. First time at this salon. I've been getting my nails done for many, many years and I'm super picky! Kim did a full set, ombre w/medium pink powder. They came out nice! And she's gentle, no tugging or moving so quickly your afraid one slip and she's breaking skin! She's also nice.
