The pedicure is probably one of the best I have had in Menifee. Very detailed with cuticles and the nail shaping. Great massage, thorough, all the things. My daughter got acrylics and they look so good!! They are a master of their craft in the designs on nails, however he was a bit rough with the sanding and cuticles and didn't clean out under the nails very well after shaping. Left her bleeding a couple of times, and rough with the alcohol to clean after. We will be going back, will just give heads up to be more gentle with my daughter for future acrylics.

I think they are fair with their pricing. The salon is clean. The technicians speak Vietnamese, but communicate in English as well. I would have given a five-star review, except I observed that a nail technician dropped her nail/cuticle clippers on the floor and picked them up with her gloved hand and did not change her gloves or wash her hands, nor did she sanitize the instrument or place it in a soiled container, but proceeded to use it on her client. I am a State Board Licensed Cosmetologist, and licensed to work as a Manicurist. When it comes to safety and sanitation, if she were taking an exam to get her Manicurist License - that is an automatic fail. I got a French tip using OPI Funny Bunny, and the results were very poor. The gel polish is uneven and lumpy, the white tips are inconsistent in size, and the overall shape of my nails is sloppy. It honestly looks rushed and unprofessional. My mom also had a disappointing experience. She asked for black nails with a gold design and showed a reference photo. The technician said she could do it, but the final result looked nothing like the picture. During the service, it was clear she wasn't confident with designs, as she kept asking the technician next to her for help. This is really directed to the owners, Nia and Dan, who seem to do great work and are often booked out. Unfortunately, this experience was not a good representation of your business. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend this salon unless you're specifically booking with Nia or Dan.

Several times she was looking around the salon and yelling comments to other employees while working on my nails, which didn't exactly inspire confidence while someone is using sharp tools on your hands. I understand being busy, but a nail appointment shouldn't feel like a race against the clock, especially when it leaves a client with sore, bleeding fingers. Speed is great, but attention to detail and basic care should come first. This experience unfortunately felt rushed and uncomfortable from start to finish.

Thrilled to have found Letting Go in early March when Lorraine put me on a waiting list and got me in on a Friday when another customer cancelled. Perfect timing, too, because it was just a few days prior to me and my mother putting ourselves on "house arrest" because of the C-Virus scare. Although Lorraine is a "nail artist," I told her I only wanted something similar to what I have been doing a long time; purple base with glitter. I asked her, don't you have samples you can show me from a bottle? She says, "We don't do it that way here. I custom-make your gel colour and glitter to your specifications." I showed her some pix of my nails from the other salon, and she used that as a starting point. Now that I trust her implicitly, I will likely let her come up with her own purple colour and glitter ideas next time. It is nearly a month since I had the work done and only ONE nail is starting to chip so far. I hope I can hold out until my house arrest is over, like another month, by clipping the nails carefully. This is a small intimate salon, not crowded with people since is appointment only. Unlike most other salons, the technicians are not rushing, so plan extra time for this type of quality. Also, be prepared to pay more money here than at an assembly line salon, but it is worth every penny of it. (My last nail shop couldn't even get the colours straight cuz the samples were often in the wrong spot with the wrong number). That can't happen here because there are no samples with numbers! I can't wait to go back for my hands and feet, hopefully by late May!
