I came in with my mom for gel manicures, and we both left really disappointed. I'm new to the Menifee area and was hoping to find a reliable nail salon, but this was not a good experience. I got a French tip using OPI Funny Bunny, and the results were very poor. The gel polish is uneven and lumpy, the white tips are inconsistent in size, and the overall shape of my nails is sloppy. It honestly looks rushed and unprofessional. My mom also had a disappointing experience. She asked for black nails with a gold design and showed a reference photo. The technician said she could do it, but the final result looked nothing like the picture. During the service, it was clear she wasn't confident with designs, as she kept asking the technician next to her for help. This is really directed to the owners, Nia and Dan, who seem to do great work and are often booked out. Unfortunately, this experience was not a good representation of your business. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend this salon unless you're specifically booking with Nia or Dan. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and loved my tech Sue. Last time I called they said she left. I gave them another try and called to make an appt the day before for a fill and pedi. The day of I go in and a nice lady started my nails then half way through they started my pedi (I asked for the royal which is supposed to come with a 15 min massage). Right before I sat for my pedi someone called in asking for 2 pedis. They come in while I'm getting my pedi and they sit them down and 1 gets started and my girl did mayyyybe a 7 min massage and hurried me to start the walk in. as much as Dan does nails pretty well, you can't add any feedback without him being rude. Apparently this is how he is after hearing stories from multiple people who get their nails done from him. I didn't have any issues previously, I actually trusted him a lot with his judgement on colors/designs/etc.. but when I got my nails done the other day I had communicated that the color looked too pink for the sort of thing I was getting, showing reference photos and trying to trust his judgement after he told me it was going to look fine. After looking for a bit I realized it's definitely not the look I was going for (which is fine, I'm not difficult and I wasn't going to make him redo anything just not do what I had originally planned or add anything else) and when I had let him know, some sort of switch flipped. "I'm not going to redo this" "this is the color you wanted now you hate it" "I don't know what you want". When I showed him the reference photo again he told me it's too ugly and he wasn't going to do it. I thought he was joking for real because I wasn't expecting disrespect to come out of his mouth whatsoever with how cool things have been beforehand. I went to go wash my hands and decided that I wasn't comfortable staying there much longer with the tension he created so I sat down and told him to not follow through with my original idea and just add the top coat saying "I actually like the color and the way it is like this" he said "oh so now you like the base color" and scoffed.. LOL hell no. I kept it cordial, I did not cause any scene and I generally don't even speak up for sh!t if I don't like my nails, I usually pay and go on my way but I felt comfortable enough with him to SORTA bring up how I was feeling about it. My nail color wasn't what made me leave without it getting finished, it was his disrespect and the way he started handling my hands and nails rougher once I made my comments. Once I went home I noticed he also unfollowed me on ig after. I don't ever make reviews because i'm not tryna look like a Karen but that was some unprovoked behavior he pulled and apparently a common mistake he makes with others. In once instance, the tech argued with me about the difference between "almond" and "round" when all I asked for was the same shape I had; a shape I had received from this location! It was so bad I had to leave mid-service! No one apologized. As you never get the same person twice, I returned and was stabbed with an instrument. Today (afternoon, mid-week), I was once again trapped by being sat down in water for a pedicure even when the wait is 30 minutes+! I don't know where to begin. The man who helped me did such a horrible job I am currently sitting in another salon to get my nails fixed. The shape is so off that all my nails do not even resemble each other. The color must have been old because there are so many bubbles and bumps in my nails that they look hideous in the light. This 5 star review is for Danny. Been going to him off and on for 10 years, and he's easily the best nail artist I've ever had. Rarely do I come across someone with comparable skills. He does a phenomenal job every time. The shop is always clean, & on Fridays, busy. Everyone in there is personable. My first time in that shop was rough - I had someone do my nails (can't remember her name) & she cut me multiple times and did an overall terrible job. The only other person I had that has been subpar is the gentleman on the far end. He was super nice, but his work just wasn't very good. I went back and got them all fixed later that day (as I had to work). David did a great job fixing them. For the record - both David and Danny are really good, and Nia I hear is really good too. So there are quite a few people you can go to in this shop to expect a good job from, which is a rarity nowadays. It seems they're really upping their game, too! Buyer beware!!! I was overcharged $100 when I used my debit card. Be sure to ask for the price upfront before they start working on your nails and very careful to check your receipt if using credit/debit. The older man did my acrylic fill and was supposed to charge me $33. He added an extra 1 to the total on the credit card machine and made it $133!! I'm sure they get a lot of people this way who don't notice. I saw it and immediately told him. He gave me the overcharge back in cash. Update: 5 stars were given because once I left my review, I was contacted immediately to try to rectify the issue and they fixed my nails to a T. They look AMAZING. Nia did my nails. She greeted me and explained what she would do. She shaped my nails perfectly and upon talking it out, changed the colors of my nails which I was totally okay with. They came out so cute, just in time for Thanksgiving. I am very satisfied. See pictures for new nails. I Got dipped powder with gel nail color on top. No charge to get them fixed. I left her a tip. This nail salon is definitely a place where they take pride in customer service, as all places should do as well, but not many salons are like that let alone will reply to a yelp review. It is for these reasons I will recommend 5 star Nails. Precious post 1 star given Mary did my nails. She's very sweet and personable but her work is really bad. Stay away if you can. See pictures. My nails are rough around the edges, every nail has a bad shape, like one is lumpy on one side, the other has a straight side but the other side is rounded, nothing is like what I asked for; in fact, she used a very flimsy small white nail file to shape my nails and I couldn't figure out why! Also, she painted my nails so that it looks like I've had them on for a week. The last picture is the shape I was looking for. I asked for short coffin nails; dip powder with gel color. What happened to this place? I had the same nail tech for 4 years. I even followed him from a different salon and one day he just decides to stop accepting appointments. He did this to many of his long time clients with no explanation. I tried someone else since this place is close by and it was terrible. The other nail tech told me he doesn't do pink and white because it will me look old...ok thanks?! So he did ombre. Its not too bad execept days later it started turning an odd color. My mom came home so upset. I called to schedule her an appointment for an acrylic overlay. She said it again when she arrived and the older Asian man bullied her into doing powder dip. When she explained it wasn't what he wanted he repeatedly said "this will look better." When she refused to do the blacklight at the end he told her it wouldn't dry fast and she explained that she didn't want the gel and that's why she asked for the overlay and a regular polish. He polished her nails and fanned her with a piece of cardboard for 2 minutes. She spent $50 on something she didn't ask for and sure enough her thumb had messed up before she even got home. My daughter wanted dip powder and I wanted medium length, square nails I even showed the girl a picture. For $89 dollars I expected to be somewhat satisfied. I've been going to Dan (owner) for a few years now. And concur with others that he is rude. At first I just thought he was a grumpy person. However, on my last appt, he was not only impolite, but also humiliated me in front of others (his wife laugh too, not sure if at him or me) I showed him a pic of what I wanted after he requested to see one. He brought the required colors, but one was off, so I requested a different shade of yellow. It was the first time I commented on the nail color he brought, which prompt his anger and a statement that he was tired and that was the last time I changed my mind. I told him to please relax that I, too was tired, but I was paying him for this service. Then he said, "You relax. Do you have any idea how many women want me to do their nails when I don't want to?" I then remained silent. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, but I allow him to finish my nails, then I thank him and tip him. However, I will never return and he has lost two loyal customers. It's a shame that such talented nail tech (I love his work) doesn't care about his business or his customers. read more
